jadetrucker43, man, I honestly have no clue what just happened. I stayed away for a bit because the site was being super glitchy—I could barely even get a couple of posts out before things broke. But then today, out of nowhere, the icons just... came back. It’s like some kind of miracle. I really owe you one for passing my info along; you said you'd pass it up the chain, and apparently, those guys actually did something because everything is back to normal. I can post, comment, and actually use the forum again. I’m a little paranoid that they might just vanish again, but hey, if things go south, I know I can reach out to you.
Thanks for putting in the work. Best,

Is there any way to send a nudge to a user whose inbox is completely maxed out, maybe just to let them know they need to clear some space?

Just head over to the relevant thread and post it there as a comment. I'm sure the mods will be reasonable about it.👍

So, I’m running into this incredibly annoying issue where I can't add an extra link to my signature—it keeps throwing that stupid error message at me saying the signature is too long. I mean, obviously, it looks "too long" while I'm in the editor, but once it actually renders alongside the existing link, the total length would only be about five characters longer including the space! It’s such a minor difference, honestly.
How have you guys been dealing with this?

Just shoot me a DM with the signature you're looking for—I'll get it polished up for you. 🙂

Maria Fisher46 said:swiftbear86, I ran into the exact same headache back when I was using IE. Have you checked your "Cookies" settings? It might be worth trying to enable them just to see if checking "remember me" actually works when you log in.

Once I flipped the switch on "Cookies" and hit "remember me" during login, the constant logging out issues just vanished. 🙂

Thanks for the tip..
Could you walk me through how to actually do that, though? I honestly have no clue where to find those settings.😍

I’ll send it over later this evening once I finish tweaking the album—thanks! But wait, isn't this stuff supposed to be open to us regular forum users? Are we really at the point where we have to bug the moderators every single time we want to change something 😁?

*or just PM me if you want to know how to bypass the message 😳

Unless they’ve changed things behind the scenes recently, the average forum regular isn't even allowed to use BB codes in their signature—so you know, no links, no custom colors, no bolding, none of that stuff.

Just a quick request for an explanation on how to actually pull this off, because I honestly haven't the slightest clue.😍

Napravite ovako:

Log out of the forum and pull up a site like Google.

2. Select from the top menu bar. The toolbox. A simple concept, yet often misunderstood. We tend to focus on the flashy power tools—the high-torque drills or the heavy-duty saws—while ignoring the fundamental utility of the basics. It’s like an orchestra focusing entirely on the percussion while forgetting that the melody relies on the strings. Without the right foundation, the most expensive equipment in the world is just dead weight. Efficiency isn't about having everything; it's about having exactly what works. As shown in the image and within its contents. Internet Options:

Once that window pops up. Internet Options Make your choice. Privacy. Just build it exactly like the image shows:

image

3. Press. Understood. Ready to proceed..

They were the ones who enabled the "Cookies" option.

Try logging back into the forum after that and see if you can actually check the "Remember me" box.

Does that option actually work now, or are you still getting kicked out automatically?

How do I actually set up a signature underneath my posts? You know, like how yours says "night falls and now my war begins"? 🙂

Just head up to the Quick Links menu, hit Edit Signature, and you can set things up exactly how you want them.
From what I can tell, they’ve brought back BB code support, too—so bolding, centering, adding links, all that good stuff should be working just fine for everyone again.

3. Hit OK.

That should enable the "Cookies" option.

Once you've done that, try coming back to the forum, logging in, and making sure to check the "Remember me" box.

Let us know if that does the trick or if you're still getting kicked out automatically.

The settings were actually set to medium, though your screenshot showed medium-high.
I just tweaked them, so now I'm waiting about half an hour to see if it works.
Thanks!

Okay, it's been thirty minutes and I can edit my posts without having to log back in.
Thanks again!

I've run into one more thing,

on the garden-orchids thread, I can't even read the full text because there's a massive ad hogging most of the screen on both the left and right sides.
Is there any way to get rid of that ad?
Looking through the replies in that thread, it seems like other users are dealing with the exact same headache.

Hey, I wanted to ask if there’s any way to hide that greeting message that pops up in the top right corner whenever you log onto the forum. Look—having my last visit timestamp and those private messages showing is totally fine, but Bog... that little welcome note? Not so much. If I ever have to lend someone my laptop, they're going to see that immediately and then I'm toast. I won't be able to post whatever's actually on my mind without worrying about people snooping through my other posts too. Thanks.

Hopefully, you won't run into those automatic logout issues anymore. 🙂

I have another issue,

on the garden-orchids thread, I can't see the full text because a massive ad takes up most of the screen on both sides.
How do I get rid of that ad?
Looking at other posts in that thread, it seems others are dealing with this too.

I just checked that thread using Edge (usually I use Chrome; I don't really use Edge anymore, it's just still installed) and the post visibility looks fine to me now.

True, the layout is a bit "narrow" compared to how things look when I'm browsing the Health section.

To deal with the ads, you can install Adblock—an extension that blocks advertisements so they aren't visible anymore. You should be able to find a site via a search engine where you can download Adblock for Edge for free.

However, even if you strip away the ads, the issue with the forum page "width" remains.

That's why I gave up on Edge and switched over to Chrome.

Using certain scripts, I managed to force the forum page width to stay consistent.

As far as I know—and tech isn't exactly my specialty—Edge doesn't support those kinds of extensions.

I don't know what to tell you—some people just have an eye for detail that others completely miss. It’s like watching someone try to build a house without a level; you can see the tilt before they even realize something is off. Is it worth obsessing over every little thing? Maybe not. But then again, if you aren't paying attention, are you even really looking? kaže:

Seeing my last visit and those private messages is fine—no big deal—but Bog... that little welcome note? Not so much. If I ever have to let someone borrow my laptop, they'll see it immediately and then I'm basically done for. I won't be able to write whatever I want without worrying about people snooping through my other posts. Any ideas? Thanks.

There’s no way around it—you can't just turn that feature off. Honestly, if you're handing your laptop over to someone else, you might as well just log out entirely... why take the risk?

I just hopped back into this thread using Edge—though I usually stick to Chrome these days and only keep Edge around for testing—and it looks like everything is displaying properly now.

It’s true, though, that the layout feels a bit "narrow." It definitely looks different than when I'm browsing threads over on the Health forum.

As far as I know—and hey, I'm no tech wizard—Edge doesn't seem to support those kinds of extensions.

For instance, page 183 on the gardening forum has text that stretches way too wide, while the most recent pages look fine.
But I started digging through some older posts, and having to deal with that weird formatting for several pages straight really threw me off.

I started digging through some older posts and noticed this happening across several different pages...

The reason page 183 looks distorted isn't because of ads. It’s actually because—as I'm typing this—there are several images in those posts with massive dimensions that are stretching the layout.

How do I make a photo collage?

Basically, I want to take a bunch of different photos and combine them into one single image, so I can just post one link that displays everything at once..

It looks like this:

Can I pull this off using Imgur, or should I be looking at some other tool?

Thanks.

There’s probably some other software or a website out there that handles this for you—likely something with a pre-set template or a fixed layout where you just drop your photos in and call it a day.

silentnomad74 said:So, you want to know how to put together a photo collage? It’s pretty straightforward once you stop overthinking it. Honestly, it’s like trying to organize a messy garage—you just need to decide where everything goes and then slot it in. If you want something quick and easy without a massive learning curve, I’d suggest using PhotoScape. It’s a solid little tool that lets you drag and drop your shots into a layout without making a huge production out of it. If you're looking for something more web-based so you don't have to download anything, just head over to Imgur; they have some basic ways to handle imagery, though they aren't specifically built for heavy-duty design. Basically, pick your photos, choose a grid that doesn't look like a total disaster, and adjust the borders until it actually looks like something a human would want to look at. Don't go overboard with the filters, either. Less is usually more.

Look, it’s pretty simple. If you want to take a bunch of separate images and bundle them into a single link that displays everything at once, there are a few ways to handle it. You could just toss them all into an Imgur album and share that one URL, which keeps things clean, or if you’re looking for something more specific, you can use tools like PhotoScape to stitch them together into one big collage before uploading. It really just comes down to whether you want a gallery view or one massive composite image..

It looks like this:

Can I pull this off using Imgur, or should I be looking at something else entirely?

Thanks.

You could just use PhotoScape, for instance. 🙂
