Take a look at this image: πŸ™‚

And then you end up with this:

The actual text you're aiming for
feralmason34 said:Could you be a bit more specific?

The desired text

P.S.β€”If you aren't interested in having that little icon next to the post you're quoting (), you can simply swap out

Regarding the search tool:

As you've probably noticed, Google search isn't directly available on our forum anymore. If you're comfortable using the built-in forum search, you can still find what you need there. But if you prefer the power of Google, you can search this forum by using this link... It opens Google with a preset search specifically for our site. Just type site:ourforum.com followed by your search term and you're all set πŸ™‚

Is there any way I can swap out the email address I used when I signed up?? Honestly, I just want to have one less digital footprint trailing me around this forum 😁 Dammit, I had no clue the moderators could actually see it πŸ™ˆ (please don't all go snooping now!)

You certainly can. It’s a bit like updating your home address with the post office; just follow this path=>click here=>go to Edit email and password=>under Edit Email Address (Optional) type the new one into the New email address: field and Confirm new email address: then hit Save changes. πŸ˜‰

Wait, did I miss something in my previous post?? My actual question was about how to link directly to a specific part of a threadβ€”not just starting from the very top, but maybe jumping straight to, say, twenty posts down. I noticed someone on the forum doing exactly that, so I was just curious πŸ™‚

Each post has a number above it. Click that number to get a direct link to just that specific post. From there, if you click the thread title again, you'll get a link that points directly to that exact spot within the full discussion, rather than an isolated view.

From there, if you click the thread title again, you'll get a link that takes you straight to that exact spot within the full conversation, rather than just showing the isolated post.

You can also do it this way:

Just take the URL where the post is located and tack an # followed by the post number onto the end of it.

So, basically, just copy and paste the URL, and if you want the page to automatically scroll down to, say, post #72, you just type #72 at the very end of the web address.

Is there any way to see the total post count on a specific thread, along with a breakdown of how many posts each person has made?

If you look at the image below, specifically where the arrow points inside the circle, you'll find the total post count; clicking that number will pull up a list showing exactly which users posted and their individual counts. πŸ™‚

Is there some kind of feature, maybe similar to a subscribed thread, that would actually ping me whenever someone decides to quote my posts?

There is actually a way to subscribe to a thread; if you set that up and someone replies by quoting you, you'll get an email notification... as far as I know, that's the only way to handle it. πŸ™‚
