Has anyone here been treated at the Dubrava clinic recently?

I have an appointment scheduled for mid-December, but I haven't heard anything back yet... I'm just wondering if it's still on, if they might reschedule me, or if they'll be transferring my care to a different specialist at another hospital (where would that be?).
Have any of you received updates from them lately?
What kind of information did they give you?

Has anyone actually heard from them lately?

What was the word on your end?

Thnx!
But that’s just the oncology department.
There are more of us out there...

( No, if I don't hear back from my own people, I'll give them a call. )

Where can I go to get tested for COVID? I’ve got a referral—my doctor is over in Zabok, my permanent address is in Cakovac, but right now I’m living near Sesvete. 🙂

Should I try Dubrava Basketball Club or is there something closer? I’m looking for somewhere within about a 30-minute drive—Sesvete, Dubrava, Ivanic-Grad, Vrbovec, Novi Marof... somewhere along that stretch. The main thing is I don't want to be stuck waiting in some massive line all morning when I show up.

I have a quick question because my gynecologist hasn't been getting back to me.

I need to schedule a surgery, and my doctor gave me a whole stack of referrals for various tests. I’m wondering about the logistics: should I try to secure a surgical date first, or do I need to complete all these tests and clear the anesthesiologist visit before I can actually ask for a spot on the schedule?
Thanks

Thanks

Typically, you secure the surgery date first, and then you move forward with the required tests, making sure everything stays current within a month... if you finish the tests now but don't get a date until February, for instance, you might end up having to redo them all...

It seems a bit unusual that the hospital would specify which tests are needed without providing a scheduled date...

It depends on the hospital, and honestly, even the specific department. Your only move is to call or email whoever handles the scheduling—it'll likely be the head nurse.

But that’s strictly oncology—just one slice of the pie.

Actually, it isn't. It mentions oncology patients along with everyone else being treated at Dubrava Basketball Club. You should probably try giving them a ring.

I finally heard back from the nursing staff! First, I have to complete all my preliminary testing, and only then can I actually request a date for the procedure. And yes, it definitely varies; during my last surgery, I was given a date almost immediately.

Hey there!

Anyone here been to a private clinic lately? I'm looking for somewhere in Chicago where we can actually get an appointment quickly—ideally by early next week...
Ideally a big facility where she can handle most things in one go (cardiology, blood work, thyroid panels, endocrinology, OB/GYN, maybe even a psychiatrist).

It’s for a woman around 50. Her heart rate has been spiking lately—hitting 100 to 150 bpm—which is pretty scary. The ER said it wasn't life-threatening, but she's basically sidelined because of it. We don't know if it's her heart, menopause, stress, anxiety, her thyroid, or just something else entirely... since this has never happened before, we need to move fast.

Hit me up here or shoot me a DM. Thnx!

Question about Merkur:

So, I had this injury and went to my local neighborhood clinic first, but they sent me over to Rebro. When I got to Rebro, they told me it was packed and suggested I just head to Merkur instead, otherwise I’d be waiting for hours. I went to Merkur, got everything handled (doctor just told me to swing back tomorrow for a bandage change), but then I mentioned it to a buddy later. He tells me I shouldn't have gone there because they’ll absolutely rip me off!??
I tried looking for a price list or something, but all I could find were rates for IVF and abortions (which, thank God, I don't need), so now I'm a little spooked—should I be bracing myself for a total USA-style bill, or is my friend just lying to me about these people? 😁

Morgan Brown4 said:A question regarding Mercury:

To provide some context, I recently dealt with an injury and initially visited my local community clinic, but they suggested I head over to Mayo Clinic instead. When I arrived at Mayo Clinic, the staff mentioned things were incredibly backed up there and advised that I would be much better off visiting Mercury to avoid waiting for hours on end. So, I went to Mercury and completed everything necessary—the doctor simply instructed me to return tomorrow for a dressing change. However, when I later mentioned the visit to a friend, he claimed I shouldn't have gone there because they would charge me an exorbitant amount!
I attempted to locate a price list or some sort of fee schedule, but all I could find was information regarding fertility treatments and abortions (which, thank God, is not something I need), so I am feeling a bit apprehensive. Should I be bracing myself for a massive USA-style medical bill, or is my friend just exaggerating about this disorganized bunch? 😁

Do you carry health insurance? If you are covered, your friend's concerns are moot; the insurance will handle the costs. 😬
If you happen to have supplemental coverage as well, then even better, as you likely won't see a bill at all. In the event that you are uninsured, you might receive a relatively minor invoice since you didn't undergo an extensive battery of diagnostic tests.

Alright, everything seems fine then. 😁

Anyway, does anyone know the drill for seeing a primary care doctor when you aren't living in your home district? I went by my local clinic the other day and they basically rolled their eyes at me. They told me that since I’m registered outside of Washington, D.C., I have to go straight to the ER for everything and there's nothing they can help me with... Which is just ridiculous. It makes zero sense. I really hope I don't have to trek three bus stops away to some random urgent care near the DZ just because of some stupid bureaucratic nonsense, especially since there's an office just two streets over from me...

So, where is your primary care physician located?
You should go see whoever you have officially registered with.

My primary care doctor is actually over 300 miles away from Washington, D.C., if you can believe that. 😛

In that case, you should probably just check in with someone closer to home.

So, my primary care doctor suggested I get some bloodwork done—specifically checking RF, ANTI CCP, and CRP levels—and told me to just head over to the local Mayo Clinic because apparently you don't even need an appointment there. Well, turns out that was a bit of a stretch, because even without a formal booking, I’m looking at a month-long wait.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere else I can schedule this where the wait might be, say, slightly less agonizing?
