Growing weed on my patio
got my own buds—don't care about anything else
Got the seeds from Snoop Dogg, top tier stuff
just chilling, stomach growling, eating old cabbage.

Mom keeps asking what this herb even is
tell her it's just tea for my toes since they're acting up

So we're smoking, pass those joints over here
THC residue sticking to the teeth
can't see a thing through the flies buzzing
got a beer in the house for the dry throat.
My ass hurts and so does my head
while the girl is getting thick as a sausage
mixed with some crap and a little tobacco
passing out hard like my buddy Bvana
Then I dream about how I grew up
wishing instead of a flower pot, I had a whole garden.
With a dog and a cat to guard the branches
anyone touches my stash, they're getting the belt.

Straight to the eye, straight to the face
get outta here, stinker, you look pale yellow or white.

Don't go throwing Wu-Tang at my head, man
just let me smoke some good ganja.
I like joints, but weed is sweeter
give me one bud, I'll pay you in cash.

No way, take this stick instead
screw you, you old junkie
forget your mother, I won't even give you food
going to the kitchen to fry up some salty rolls
ate six of them and now I feel great
washed it down with beer and a little bump
loaded up like a cop, now my whole body aches
there's still another beer chilling in the fridge.

Oooo.. Ate like a pig after that joint
laid down to nap, fart, smell, and dream about babes
both a fly and a moth entered my room.
Both of them are buzzing right by my ear
jumped up immediately to light another one
scratched my balls and my ass too
coming straight from the hood like a real rapper.
South Central Los Angeles, my home turf
Smoking three packs of high-quality kush.
When I step outside, I lose my bearings
always find someone getting high somewhere...
smoke swirling around us, we used to have hash oil straws
Natalie Portman hit a car driving by
put some tobacco in another blunt.

Indo is smoking, ripping it, now my lungs hurt
light another one to feel better
Indo is smoking, ripping it, now my lungs hurt
light another one to feel better

Eminem - (slang term, 2006) - Indo grasa

I guess I'm just waiting around to see what happens next... maybe if I stare at the screen long enough, something actually interesting will occur... says:
I'm with you on that one...

Maybe you should try fixing your sarcasm detector...

I mean, I get what they’re saying in that article, but banning cars because of it would be pure idiocy... First it's drugs, then smoking in public, then cars, then fast food, and before you know it, being overweight will be illegal, and eventually, they'll probably ban aging too since getting old is bad for your heart...

I don't even know where to start with this one... just total nonsense if you ask me. says:
So, how do you explain the fact that nobody actually smoking weed ever claims it's bad for them, yet every single person who decided to quit swears up and down that it was pure poison and only caused them trouble...

It’s pretty simple. People who quit and start preaching about how harmful it is are usually just people who overdid it way too much, just like I said before... Recreational, spiritual, or mindful use isn't the same thing as being an addict. If I had been smoking every single day and let my whole life revolve around it, I’d probably be standing here right now acting like it's pure poison too. It's just stupid, warped logic based on their own screw-ups rather than actual science. Eat some Doritos once or twice a week and you'll be fine... But go and crush two packs a day, and once you've packed on the weight, you'll suddenly act all high and mighty about how "dangerous" it is, when really you're just proving you have zero self-control and can't handle your business.

I haven't seen any posts from tomy108 yet. If you have content from them that needs rewriting, please provide it. kaže:
The real issue here isn't just about a few unstable personalities getting swept up; it’s that the majority tend to follow the crowd. You’re one of those rare individuals who doesn't just fall in line—and frankly, I take your word for it because I know people like you exist—but when you look at the big picture, more people are going to end up ruined than actually enjoying themselves. Then there's the matter of minors. Cigarettes are strictly for adults, yet we see kids everywhere lighting up. Why on earth would anyone assume things would be any different with marijuana?

You didn't actually answer the question I posed. Instead, you’ve retreated once again behind the shield of minors, using them as a sort of moral crutch to bolster your position throughout this entire discussion. My inquiry was specifically aimed at a legal adult—someone with a fully developed mind—yet you insist on pivoting back to juveniles. It's classic demagoguery. Every demagogue seems to find refuge in the same tired rhetoric, constantly invoking the plight of children, the underprivileged, or the disenfranchised to deflect from the actual point at hand.
And while we’re on the subject, they’ll eventually reach adulthood and start making their own calls. One day, they won't be looking to you for direction anymore. After all, most of a person's life is spent being an adult.
The issue isn't that we're dealing with fragile, unstable personalities; it’s more that most people simply get swept up in the momentum.

You’re the one who suffered the consequences, and now you’re trying to convince us that this is just how everyone operates. Honestly? You might want to take a hard look in the mirror and own up to a few things first.
Cigarettes are marketed strictly to adults, yet you see kids lighting up everywhere you look. If we can't even keep them away from nicotine, why on earth would anyone think things would be any different with marijuana?

Did you also wait until your eighteenth birthday to light up your first cigarette? 😬
And just how many of them actually *don't* drink? We’re talking about the crowd that wouldn't touch a drop even if a cocktail was handed to them from the heavens. Alcohol is perfectly legal here in the States, yet even then, alcoholics remain a minority. So, should we really be looking at bringing back Prohibition just to hand a golden ticket to some new Al Capone? It seems like a rather predictable way to line someone else's pockets.

It isn’t really about the marijuana; it’s more about this:

I suppose some people just find comfort in simplicity, but I’ve always found that kind of brevity to be rather uninspired. It lacks the texture one expects when trying to actually convey a thought. One can't exactly build an argument—or even a decent conversation—on a single syllable, can they? It feels a bit like staring at a blank canvas and calling it a masterpiece. kaže:
Any adult with a sound mind should have the absolute right to make their own decisions. It’s their life, their choice, and nobody else's. Attempting to interfere with those personal choices under the guise of some manufactured sense of morality isn't just intrusive—it's inherently perverse. Honestly, it's an insult to anyone possessing even a modicum of intelligence or common sense..

Could you honestly put it that way? Are you really suggesting that you’d hand over your own agency and subject your decision-making process to some sort of guided instruction manual?

Jerry Wood21 said:Look, I’ll say it again—scientific studies proving the harm of marijuana don't just... exist out of thin air.
tomy108, if you aren't grasping the fundamentals, maybe it's best to step back from the conversation.

I posted one link, and others followed suit by posting the exact same ones.

If the existence of these studies bothers you, that isn't my problem. If you want to play the fool, go ahead—just don't lose your temper when someone hits you with actual facts.

Besides, I'm not even sure a study is necessary. You can evaluate this through anecdotal evidence alone—for instance, I haven't met a single chronic user who is truly driven toward professional success or particularly concerned with social norms—things like respecting property, looking after their kids, or maintaining a decent appearance...

Look, you can't tell me there's anything better than firing up FIFA 06 on a PlayStation and just losing yourself in it all night. It’s pure bliss. And if someone actually has a multitap lying around? Playing 2-on-2 is absolutely legendary. Honestly, I'd much rather stay in, chill out on the patio with the awning down, a cold drink in hand, some low-key music playing, and just forget all my problems exist. It's the best feeling in the world.
And seriously, it’s not that big of a deal, so quit with the paranoia! What is wrong with you people? Calm down.

Samuel Brown6 said:No, you were quoting him, so he clearly didn't catch your drift regarding what you meant by "rigged."

Honestly, calling them "kids"...🙄
I’m quoting Kyle Ross56 because I find myself almost entirely in agreement with his sentiment...
The core of this whole debate really boils down to individual autonomy—the right of every person to make their own calls, which he put quite elegantly:
Kyle Ross56 says:
Every adult with a sound mind has the right to decide for themselves. That choice belongs to them and them alone. Attempting to interfere with that choice under the guise of some manufactured morality is, by its very nature, perverse. It's an insult to anyone possessing even a modicum of intelligence and common sense.

I’ll pose a question to Joseph Kern11: do you agree with that logic, and would you personally be willing to hand over your own freedom of choice to someone else?

The crux of this entire issue is actually the freedom of choice for every individual, which he articulated quite elegantly:
Kyle Ross56 says:

I ask Joseph Kern11 (whether he agrees with the above) and if he would ever surrender his own freedom of choice to someone else?

Honestly, we are spending far too much time on this Joseph Kern11. I suggest we leave him alone so he can focus on studying math; I heard he needs to retake the course just to maintain a 4.8 GPA.

Why don't you try it yourself then? Who here started smoking weed at twenty?

Would you recommend giving someone the freedom to decide if they were planning to take their own life? It's the exact same principle. When someone is making an unconscious decision that results in self-harm, my opposition to legalization stems from a genuine concern for your well-being.

Kyle Ross56 said:There is a massive difference between recreational, spiritual, or cognitive use and actual substance abuse. If I had been smoking every single day and my entire life revolved around it, I’d probably be standing here right now lecturing everyone on how dangerous and toxic it all is. Those kinds of views aren't based on science; they're just distorted perspectives born out of one's own mistakes. Eat a bag of chips twice a week and you'll be fine. But if you're polishing off two family-sized bags a day and eventually become unhealthy, you can't act like you've suddenly gained some profound wisdom about the "dangers" of snacks—you're really just proving that you lack self-control and responsibility.

"Spiritual or cognitive use"!!!! So now we've wandered into religious territory, have we? It seems to me that you've strayed quite far down the wrong path. If it's true that you use this plant for those specific purposes, then you likely have some very serious issues on your hands. But let's save that for another discussion—religion.

Look, I’m totally against organized "religion," but I'm all about personal spirituality—which, by the way, has zero connection to any mainstream church in my book. And no, I don't touch weed for that... I save the psychedelics for when I actually want to travel... and honestly, after everything I've experienced, I wouldn't trade those trips for anything in the world.

But that's not even the point here, the point is you just hunt for tiny little things, some random detail in a post, just so you can spit on it and conveniently ignore the massive mountain of arguments being thrown at you in this thread. And then you have the nerve to tell us we're wrong. You haven't proven a single damn thing except to show everyone what a textbook prohibitionist looks like—just an ignorant, baseless demagogue who sticks to his guns despite hills and valleys of evidence, all because of some outdated, societal brainwashing that says any shift in consciousness is inherently bad.

Tupac keeps digging his heels in just to protect his fragile little sense of moral superiority from people who aren't just more educated than him, but also seem way smarter and wiser too...

You claim you know everything about drugs, yet you call anyone who smokes weed a junkie.

You say "we're right and psychiatrists are wrong," but independent scientific research tells a completely different story.

After a whole post packed with actual arguments, your big response is just calling it "stupid junkie rambling."

You act like none of us have a clue, but you've got nothing behind you except your own questionable, and probably totally made-up, personal experiences.

The truth is, you can't make a single credible argument on a topic you clearly know nothing about, because you know that "argument" will be torn apart under a microscope by people who actually know their stuff, like Captain Crunch.

You're just a "keyboard warrior," someone who wants to change the world and mess with people's lives without even bothering to learn anything about the things they want to influence. You're arrogant, acting like you're the smartest guy in the room despite everything. You're also a coward, because you can't man up enough to admit when you're wrong even though you know deep down that you are. You just think you're always right, so you desperately dodge everyone else's points just to prove yourself. Instead, you choose to snipe at people's claims from a distance based on some tiny, irrelevant side note, then pivot to new questions without ever answering the ones asked of you. Maybe that makes you feel better or more "right," but all anyone sees is what kind of man you really are...

*And by man, I mean in the broadest possible sense.

Blah, blah, blah... honestly, I don't care anymore. Go ahead and ruin your life with that weed if you want; it doesn't affect me. I tried my best to walk you through the reality of the situation, but you’re still just being stubborn. I know exactly how your thought process works because I've been in those same shoes, which means there isn't much anyone can do for you at this point.

But please, do me a favor and stop poisoning everyone else with this drug cartel propaganda. You might run into some kid who stumbles upon your post, reads all this nonsense, and decides to start smoking because you've "scientifically proven" to them how harmless it actually is.

Man, I really thought I proved my point in this thread. We'll see how long it takes before I cave and grab a smoke once every three weeks... catch ya in ten years, I guess.
Exactly, just go ahead and retreat under the excuse that you're "over it" because you're actually just hiding in a corner...

Here's a little something for the road:

What we actually need is real education. We need people to explain what this stuff does to you—real talk, based on actual life experiences. Maybe then someone who's on the fence might decide to stay away from that poison.

The problem is, this discussion is drifting into politics rather than staying focused on health.
We really should be looking at the pros and cons of marijuana illegality.

Right now, criminal organizations hold a total monopoly on the marijuana trade. (I hope that makes sense.)

And basic economics tells us that monopolies are never a good thing.
Are we really suggesting that criminals are the right people to hand a massive market monopoly over to?
