So, we’re heading over to a private practice run by Dr. Rosenzweig—it’s a father-son operation, actually—just so our little guy can show off his new baby teeth to them.
- They don't take standard Medicaid or anything through the state, but they apparently accept some kind of supplemental private insurance... honestly, I haven't even bothered to look up the details of what it covers.

So, what specifically blew you away about this guy?

Top-tier tech, years of experience, a bit unpolished but he's a killer expert...
Not sure what rates look like these days, but back in the day, the whole NYC area was $433, and repairs depend on the job... maybe 300-$167..

Miller, a husband and wife dental team, are located near downtown Chicago. I believe the filling is $67. They’re top-notch.

Honestly, I was wondering the exact same thing—I actually went out on a limb myself there... they aren't half bad, though.

If you haven't checked them out yet, try "Lightstone Medical" over on Michigan Ave.

Who on earth is this Jurić guy, and what is it about him that you're so obsessed with? 🙂 Give me some actual reasons!
Does he take Blue Cross insurance?

If you're asking me, it's Žurić, not Jurić. I’m not exactly his biggest fan, but he does excellent work (him, his wife, and now even his son have joined the practice). He explains everything clearly, he’s thorough, doesn't overdo it, and never panics. He actually diagnosed my issue immediately when others completely missed it. He's part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield network.

I am looking into getting a crown on my first molar. My dentist at the university clinic mentioned it would cost me $167 to get it done... does anyone know what the typical rates are at a private practice?
I ask because the filling she gave me last time—which was actually my first experience with her—was such a disaster that it’s practically a joke.

jojerfra said:In Springfield, you can find Dr. Sikora over at the Sikora Clinic—it's located at 253a J.J. Strossmeyer Avenue, just shoot me a PM for his phone number.

He’s actually fantastic! I’ve personally visited him, and he’s wonderful with seniors... plus, honestly, it’s such a relief that prices in Springfield are so much more reasonable than they are back in Chicago...

Well, my experience was quite different—Dr. Sikora actually botched a filling in my tooth, and—believe it or not—he completely forgot about it. Everything ended up getting infected and swelling up terribly. When I reached out to him, he just told me he was booked up for a few days and suggested I just "tough out" the pain. I eventually had to pop the filling out myself, and let me tell you, it was a sight to behold... I certainly won't be heading back there again.
Personally, I find that kind of work to be incredibly irresponsible. Not to mention, this is a private dentist where you're paying premium rates for what should be professional care.

Where is this physiatrist located, and what kind of treatment plan did he suggest? Also, what was the damage to the bank account—roughly how many dollars were we talking about?

If you’re looking for the absolute cheapest private options, you should definitely check out $267, though honestly, I usually find the average price for a crown sits right around 1200-$433. You might have better luck finding another social service provider where you can snag a really solid deal for just $167 to get 🙂!

Not sure if there's a better way to put it, but yeah.

Can you give me the breakdown on why he’s actually the best? Like, I need the full scoop—give me all the reasons!
What are his prices like? And how’s the quality of his work?

I was just browsing through this website for a local medical practice—it’s one of those professional portals you find when you're looking for a specialist in the States—and I found myself getting quite lost in all the information provided! It seems to be the digital home for a practitioner, perhaps someone based in a place like Chicago or maybe even Seattle, though I couldn't quite pin down the exact city, but the layout definitely feels like a standard American medical site. It’s actually rather fascinating how these professional pages are structured nowadays, isn't it? They tend to be so organized, almost to a fault, which I suppose is necessary when you're dealing with healthcare and patient trust. I spent quite a bit of time wandering through the different sections, thinking about how much effort goes into maintaining such a polished online presence for a private practice. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a very clean, functional little corner of the internet, and it really gives off a sense of reliability, which I think is just wonderful for anyone searching for quality care!

You simply have to take a look at this incredible, cutting-edge technology! It is absolutely mind-blowing how much dental care has evolved; they are actually using ozone treatment now, which means there is no more of that dreaded, aggressive drilling! They use these high-tech external cameras to inspect everything, and they even employ electronic sensors to measure decay, allowing them to detect issues in those incredibly early stages when the cavities are forming deep inside where the naked eye just can't see anything at all—I mean, honestly, I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it is. In my own case, I had a tooth that I was almost certain would have to be extracted, but thanks to this tech, they spotted several tiny cavities in their infancy and were able to clear them out entirely. You really should go and visit them; I truly believe you won't regret it for a second!

So, just how much does this little pleasure actually run you? I’ve been scouring these pages, looking high and low—really digging through everything—but I can't seem to find a single price list anywhere.

Check this out—this place uses some seriously high-tech gear. They do ozone therapy for teeth so you don't have to deal with all that aggressive drilling, plus they use these crazy cameras to check everything out. They even use electronic sensors to catch cavities in the early stages before they actually turn into problems you can see with the naked eye. Seriously, it’s incredible. I had a tooth that was basically doomed, but they caught a few tiny issues early on and fixed them right up. You should definitely swing by; you won't regret it.

I go to see my dentist, Auntie Zelma🙂 , and honestly, I am beyond stoked with her. She has this insane little camera that zooms in so much you can see every microscopic change, and she uses laser diagnostics to sniff out cavities that aren't even visible yet. Getting cavities treated with ozone costs about $83 (plus you gotta grab their special remineralizing paste— $33) and stuff like that... just ask if you want details. Or better yet, just book an appointment with her; I think she's usually free for $33 check-ups. 🙂

Hello, everyone.
For those of you who have dealt with cervical spine issues—specifically numbness, radiating arm pain, or herniated discs—how did you actually manage it?

Additionally, I’m looking for a solid recommendation for a physiotherapist in Chicago to help address this.
Thanks.

So, I was wondering, how does one actually go about picking a "primary care physician" if they’re coming from a dental school background? Like, do they only take on those really specific, complex cases, or do they just operate like any other dentist you'd find through Blue Cross Blue Shield?

I really need some help here.

I’m looking for a solid, reliable, and super thorough gastroenterologist—someone in private practice—ideally located right in downtown Chicago or somewhere nearby. I need this to happen ASAP.

Thanks!

I urgently need a solid, reliable, and thorough gastroenterologist—private practice in downtown Chicago, preferably near the Loop or the central medical district.

Thanks!

From what I’ve gathered, Dr. Roth is excellent. He has a private office located right near the hospital area over by Illinois Street—you know, if you're heading toward the main medical center from the downtown core—though I can't recall the exact street name off the top of my head, sorry... He’s private practice. Just look up his number in a local directory.
Hope that helps. 🙂
