Does anyone happen to know if Dr. Saraga is seeing patients privately down in Miami? I recall he used to be at the Vlašić clinic, but I’m not entirely sure if he’s still practicing there.
By the way, if anyone has experience with him, do you have any idea what the typical cost for a consultation looks like there?

I’m looking for some recommendations for a solid dermatologist who specializes in scalp and skin issues. I'm originally from the Midwest, but honestly, I’d be willing to travel anywhere at this point just to find someone who actually knows how to help. 😢

I’m looking for a solid dermatologist recommendation here in the States—ideally someone who actually knows their stuff—to help deal with some facial dermatitis. I really need a specialist who won't just spend two years cycling me through endless antibiotics and Uriage without ever running a single diagnostic test. I don't mind paying for a private consultation if it means getting an actual answer. Thanks so much!

Sam Kim12 said:I switched over to the local Grizanski clinic under Dr. Macanović—haven't actually seen her yet since I haven't needed to, but I got a solid recommendation and everyone who’s gone to her says she's a great doctor, really listens, and isn't one of those annoying nitpickers...

👎 How does a terrible student end up being a good doctor?
Dr Macanović spent 13 years in school, then took a 9-year break after graduating, and didn't even start practicing professionally until she was 41. Her GPA from school is a total mystery, but based on actual competence, she wouldn't even make the cut as a coroner!

You should check out Dr. Fauci over in Brooklyn.

Greetings,

Perhaps this is a foolish question to ask, but does anyone know... in the short term—say, within a week or two—I’ve noticed hair loss in a specific area of my scalp. Is there an urgent dermatology service available in Washington, D.C., where I could be examined and advised immediately, rather than waiting until I lose all my hair?
I am aware that private practices exist, but I have no idea who is actually working during these ridiculous holiday days... I am quite anxious about waiting any longer.

Thank you.

It would be smarter to have a primary care doctor look at this first. You might not need a dermatologist; you might need an immunologist.

She has already examined me. Her diagnosis? Stress. She suggested I take some vitamins and try a hair growth shampoo. That hardly feels like a sufficient solution...

Dr. Smith spent 13 years in school, then took a 9-year break after graduating, finally starting her career at age 41... Her GPA is a mystery, but honestly, based on what she knows, she wouldn't even make a decent coroner...

Well, whether you're the first or last person to graduate from medical school, you're still an MD... 😵 I'm not surprised; people take longer to finish for all sorts of reasons, like pregnancy or money issues, but they still have to pass the same exams as everyone else...

Any recommendations for local doctors in the Spanish / Malešnica area or dentists nearby?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a solid neurologist here in Washington, D.C. I've got some MRI results that pretty much need a professional set of eyes to walk me through what they actually mean and, I guess, figure out what the next steps should be. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter if it's private or public. I'll shoot you a DM.

I’d definitely suggest checking out Dr. Sandra Richter.
I'm not 100% sure if she has her own solo clinic, but my grandma actually saw her over at their specialized unit.

Hey,

I need to see a urologist privately in NYC. I’m right near the KAPUN clinic—anyone actually used them before? Or better yet, does anyone have a solid recommendation for another urologist in NYC?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an orthopedist at the University hospital in Washington, D.C.? (My previous one basically vanished on me in Dublin! 😁)
I went in for plantar fasciitis, which meant there was some significant tension in my feet at the time.
The X-rays already showed some structural issues in both my feet and my shins; so, I really need someone who specializes specifically in that area.

It’s not a formal recommendation and doesn't work with insurance, but just as a heads-up—someone suggested the Ribnjak Clinic and Dr. Smith. When I booked, I specifically requested him. I went in for my first appointment because of knee pain and my foot rolling inward (it's not flat feet, my foot just collapses inward). Of course, I ended up seeing a different doctor instead, which I wasn't told since it was my first time there, and he just told me everything would settle down once I hit 40 or 50. He checked my knee with an ultrasound, but didn't bother looking at my foot or the way I walk. I paid a ridiculous amount for such a joke of an exam $100.

Try Ligament. They do great exams and provide orthotics.

I am looking for recommendations regarding which hospital in Washington, D.C. employs the most capable, or at least top-tier, neurosurgeons to handle an incredibly complex surgical procedure.

I don't have any firsthand experience here, but I've heard great things about Dr. Chudy over in Brooklyn. There was actually a recent article about him.
