Do you happen to have a recommendation for an excellent physiatrist? I found that many people highly praise Blaženka Nekić, but I cannot determine if she is truly exceptional or if those are merely exaggerated reviews. 🤷

The reviews are definitely skewed because the negative comments have been deleted. Personally, her approach did not resonate with me at all, although there are certainly patients who are satisfied (as there are others who are not). For some time now, she has been seeing only private patients, while those using Medicare are being treated by another doctor whom many people highly recommend.
The specialists at Ligament are quite good; personally, I was satisfied with Dr. Žugaj, but I have heard some negative experiences as well, so one should remain cautious. ☕

Just wanted to give a quick update. I spent the entire Thursday glued to my phone, and honestly, not a single soul picked up among the hundred numbers I dialed. I finally sent an email, and they got back to me yesterday with an appointment for November 12th. At this point, I suspect that’s about as fast as it gets. 🤷

Personally, I never quite connected with her approach, though I know there are patients out there who are satisfied (just like any other doctor). They are quite good at Ligament, for instance; I was personally happy with Dr. Žugaj, though I have heard some negative stories as well, so... ☕

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Seeing how those negative reviews just vanish, I decided to go back and look at the feedback for Dr. Bojanić. I distinctly remember women mentioning how the man would literally drool over you or suggest wearing high heels while cycling—complete nonsense, really. And wouldn't you know it? Those reviews are gone. In fact, when I went to see him privately—and I think I $233 expected to receive service from a true professional in his field—it was such a disappointment. Unfortunately, the man does nothing but complain about knees; when it comes to any other joint, he's a zero. To make matters worse, I actually dealt with the drooling and the inappropriate comments right during the exam itself. Disgusting. It is a stroke of luck that they don't delete comments here.

That’s what I was thinking. Since it seems like all the negative comments are vanishing lately, I went to check out the reviews for Dr. Bojanić (I remember back then the women were saying the guy literally drools over you, tells you to wear high heels while cycling, and other absolute nonsense) and yep, those kinds of reviews are totally gone now. Honestly, when I went to see him privately—and god, I think I said this before $233—I actually expected service from someone who knows what they're doing in their field. Instead, the guy only understands knees; when it comes to any other joint, he's a total zero. Plus, I had to deal with the drooling and the flirting right during the exam. Gross. Thank God they don't delete comments on here.

It’s still better than the other options, though. I just have no clue how long the waitlist is at Mayo Clinic. If you've got the cash, I know they handle things at the A. B. R. clinic.😛

Can anyone recommend a solid private orthopedic clinic? I've been an athlete for six years without any major injuries until now, but the doctors I've consulted have given me completely conflicting advice. One suggests immediate surgery, another insists on physical therapy (which I've tried to no avail), and a third claims nothing is wrong at all.

The process should be straightforward: come in, get an MRI (I find X-rays pretty useless since they only show the surface), then proceed with whatever adjustment or surgery is necessary, followed by physical therapy as post-op treatment.

I’m originally from Indianapolis, but I am willing to travel anywhere in the US for quality care.

The standard procedure seems to be showing up, getting an MRI—since X-rays are quite superficial in my opinion—and then having them either set the issue or perform surgery, followed by some sort of physical therapy as post-operative care.

I am originally from Indianapolis, but I am willing to travel anywhere in the US for the right expertise.

You might want to look into St. Catherine in Chicago; they have an excellent medical team.

I’d like to take a moment to publicly commend Vinceković. He has been my ophthalmologist for over a decade now. He used to be with Gethaldus Varaždin, though he’s transitioned to part-time work these days due to his age. Ever since my very first appointment with him, I haven't even considered seeing anyone else.

That said, I am looking for recommendations for a reliable ophthalmologist in Savannah or Chicago. Once Dr. Vinceković officially retires, I want to know exactly where to turn. I am open to private practice, though I suppose a provider under Medicare could work if they are truly excellent—though, in my experience, it’s usually better to stick with private specialists. 🍿 🍿

Hey there! I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences regarding professionalism and bedside manner when dealing with Dr. Diana Kostanjšek over at the clinic on Njegoševa, or perhaps Iva Špelić at the facility on Schwarzwald? I’m trying to get a feel for how they handle patients. Also, while we're at it, does anyone have recommendations for other doctors taking new patients around the St. Catherine or Maxim area? Thanks 🙂

Maybe just go ahead and look up that doctor review site and see what patients have actually said about those doctors, if anything.

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a primary care doctor over at the Remetinec Health Center?

Thanks,

So, I’m looking for a new primary care physician in the western part of Chicago.

Ever since my previous doctor—who, by the way, practically saved my life with her intuition—retired, I’ve been having a nightmare of a time with her replacement.

Ever since dealing with some health issues a few years back, my immune system hasn't been what it used to be; I catch everything that goes around and deal with various other nagging issues. To set the stage, I work an incredibly high-stress job, which doesn't exactly help the situation.

The new doctor is remarkably rude and dismissive. She’s completely self-centered; she won't even look you in the eye while you're speaking, acts like she knows everything, yet makes constant mistakes. For instance, I recently ended up in the ER because my blood pressure spiked. After waiting eight hours, they finally cleared me. When I showed up at her office the very next day, I encountered someone unlike any woman I've ever met. I offered a polite "good morning," and she snapped back, "I can't give you medical leave." Then she checked my blood pressure, and it was actually higher than it had been at the ER, so she just handed me some sublingual tablet. When I mentioned needing documentation for both the ER visit and today's appointment, she looked absolutely livid. It is impossible to establish any kind of rapport with her, yet I'm forced to see a GP from time to time.

If anyone knows a practitioner who actually understands people working high-pressure jobs alongside a history of health struggles, please let me know. My previous doctor was exactly that kind of person, so I managed to navigate everything fine, but under this new one, I haven't been able to get anything sorted for six months now. In a growing area like this, word travels fast—apparently, 200 people have jumped ship from her practice in just the last half year.

Since I dealt with some serious health issues a few years back, my immune system has been shot. I’m constantly getting sick and dealing with various other nagging problems. To make matters worse, my job is incredibly high-stress, which just makes everything harder to manage.

My old doctor understood all of that, so I could manage, but with this new one, I haven't been able to get anything done properly for six months. I've got things hanging over my head that need resolving. Honestly, in the six months since this "doctor" started, 200 people have left her practice, and that's in an area that's constantly growing.

Unfortunately, in the Chicago West area, most of the "senior" doctors are right on the verge of retirement, and they're being replaced by these young doctors.

Well, this "new" one of mine isn't exactly a spring chicken either; she’s probably pushed 40 by now. Honestly, I’d be willing to trek all the way out to Dubrava if it meant I didn't have to lay eyes on her anymore.

I was actually talking about younger female doctors. Sometimes they really are sharper when it comes to making a diagnosis.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some recommendations for a solid dermatologist for a checkup. Ideally, I’d prefer a private practice that isn't too pricey, preferably located near Broadway or the Mayo Clinic area.

I'm looking for an endocrinologist recommendation in Cleveland, though I'm open to checking out someone in Chicago too. I’d much rather go private if possible, but I suppose I could deal with the public system if I had to. Thanks.

Dr. Kelava is an excellent physician, though if my memory serves me correctly, she isn't accepting any new patients at the moment because her schedule is already completely maxed out.

I am looking for a general practitioner in the Chicago area who is currently accepting new patients. The local health center websites are completely outdated and haven't been updated in ages, so they aren't providing any useful information.
