Does anyone know if you can actually email a doctor at Mayo Clinic? It’s not listed on their website. My follow-up appointment is still a long way off, but I really need to ask them something. I'm guessing their email addresses follow a standard format, like firstname.lastname... or something along those lines?

I highly recommend Dr. Škorić-Polovina at the Mayo Clinic. Does one not value a physician who remains current with the latest endocrinology research and strictly adheres to the most modern clinical guidelines? She has even expressed her commitment to continuing her practice here in America, which speaks volumes about her dedication! Most importantly, she listens to her patients with such genuine care and attentiveness. As her patient, I can say with total sincerity that I am extremely satisfied with the care I receive.

Does anyone happen to know a solid neurologist who specializes in small fiber neuropathy?

Honestly, I doubt anyone in this country knows the first thing about neuralgia. You're better off looking for a specialist abroad.

Does anyone know of a reliable psychiatrist practicing at the Požega General Hospital? Is it even possible to find a professional there who will actually listen to a patient for more than ten minutes?

Can anyone point me toward a solid neurologist down in Miami?
I don't care if they're at a hospital or running their own private practice, just need someone who actually knows what they're doing...

Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a truly exceptional neurologist or neurosurgeon in Washington, D.C.? I am specifically looking for someone in private practice.

Additionally, could you suggest a good private clinic in Washington, D.C. where I could get an emng performed on my leg? I would prefer a private setting for that as well. Thanks so much.

Also, where can I go privately in Washington, D.C. to get an EMNG done on my leg? Private clinic preferred. Thanks.

I'll shoot you a PM.

I need to get an abdominal CT scan done. I’ve decided to go private and head over to Washington, D.C. to get it sorted. Does anyone have a recommendation for a facility there? Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere with a solid radiologist—someone who actually knows what they’re looking at and can provide a precise reading. Looking online is just overwhelming; there are too many options and no way to know who to trust. So, if you could suggest someone... thanks

Quite a few neurosurgeons maintain private practices; however, it depends entirely on the specific nature of the issue. What are we dealing with?
As for the emng, I suggest St. Catherine; they utilize surface electrodes for their procedures.

For an emng, I’d recommend St. Catherine; they use surface electrodes there.

It's the sacral part of the spine, affecting the pelvic region.

Wouldn't needle electrodes actually provide better, more precise results? With surface electrodes, the impulses tend to scatter, which makes it difficult to pinpoint exactly which nerve is causing the trouble, wouldn't you agree?

Forgive me if I am repeating myself...

Does anyone know of a reliable psychiatrist at the local general hospital in Požega? And tell me, do they actually take the time to listen to their patients, or is a ten-minute appointment considered a luxury there?

Can anyone point me toward the best endocrinologist out there, whether it's someone I can see privately or through Medicare? I'm looking at options between Cleveland and Chicago. Thanks!

Finding the absolute best endocrinologist is nearly as difficult as trying to land an audience with the President or the Prime Minister. If you are searching for that elite tier, Dr. Milan Vrkljan over at Vinogradski would be my pick.

However, if you can find satisfaction in an excellent, reliable specialist who will truly listen to you and take the time to understand your needs, then Dr. Tanja Škorić at Mayo Clinic is the one.

Here is a little bit about my experience with her.

Even though my endocrine issues are quite complex, Dr. Vrkljan eventually referred me to another physician because his schedule was so packed, and after that, the doctors at the hospital seemed to rotate through like they were on an assembly line. Every seven or eight months when I showed up for a checkup, I would be greeted by a completely different doctor. This cycle continued for years until I finally went out of my way to ask about an endocrinologist who had decided to stay in America for good, which led me to Dr. Škorić. And look at where we are now—I have seen her three or four times in a row.

Since I have been receiving treatment at that hospital since I was a young child, saying goodbye to that institution felt perhaps even more profound than going through a divorce (assuming, of course, that I ever had a wife).

There are many things a patient can endure when seeing a doctor, but I simply cannot—and should not have to—tolerate a different physician every few months.

Wouldn't needle electrodes provide better or more precise results? With surface electrodes, the impulses tend to scatter, making it impossible to identify the specific nerve at fault with any certainty.

If it becomes absolutely necessary, one can certainly proceed with needle electrodes; however, I have only undergone that method once and would not opt for it again unless there were a compelling reason. Prof. Mikula is a leading expert in this field, and under his care, I have successfully completed all procedures using surface electrodes.

Thank you. Because of this incredible little miracle, my doctor gave me a referral for an EMG on my leg. I'm going to try to get it covered through Medicare, though I have no idea how long the waiting list might be.

Do you happen to have any recommendations for a great physiatrist? I came across some glowing reviews for Blaženka Nekić, but now I'm left wondering if she's truly that talented or if people are just being overly enthusiastic in their feedback. 🤷

Does anyone happen to know where I might find the shortest wait time for a leg EMG? I spent part of my day checking around a few different facilities, and here is how things currently stand:
- Vinogradski: the next available slot isn't until late February 2020
- Draškovićev: looking at about a 3-month wait
- Train Station: they aren't even taking new appointments until the end of the year

The Vrapce Department neurology wing averages about a month and a half—first available slot is early November. Honestly, a lot of people don't realize you don't actually have to wait forever there. You can call them to book; I think the number is 3787711—try calling on a weekday between 1 PM and 3 PM.

Thank you so much! I'll give them a call tomorrow.👍
