Can anyone recommend a good clinic for a quality ultrasound? Looking for somewhere with solid specialists too, specifically a urologist and a gynecologist.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My leg had been absolutely killing me for a month straight—just constant, nagging pain. I’d bounced around between different doctors and specialists, but honestly, nobody seemed to be getting anywhere with it... until one of them finally gave me some solid advice: "Stop seeing generalists and go see the professors." So, I did. And just like that, the whole thing was sorted out in ten minutes flat.

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a good dermatologist at one of the hospitals in Chicago? Thanks! 🙂

Does anyone have recommendations for a solid orthodontist in the Miami area? Also, if you’ve had a nightmare experience with someone, please let me know which ones I should steer clear of!

I need someone truly skilled and up-to-speed with modern issues, like gluten sensitivity, IBS, FODMAP, etc. Someone who will actually run targeted tests based on specific symptoms rather than just guessing and hoping they hit something by chance.
Chicago or somewhere nearby.

To avoid starting a whole new thread, this covers my question perfectly.
Basically, we’re looking for a gastroenterologist in Chicago who understands a wide range of digestive conditions—not someone who just writes off everything as functional dyspepsia and then tries to drown the patient in antidepressants to mask the symptoms instead of actually finding the cause.
I’d prefer a private specialist, because in Chicago, you’re looking at a three or four-month wait just to get an appointment.
Thanks and cheers.

Looking for some recommendations for a neurologist, a physiatrist, and a cardiologist here in Chicago.
Thanks
So, since a physiatrist is mostly just going to give you a diagnosis and then hand you off to a physical therapist anyway, I’d suggest approaching it this way:
1. Public options (they're decent—not top-tier, but fine, and honestly, I doubt anyone in the public system is significantly better than average): I’ve seen a few different physiatrists and PTs over on Kišpatićev street over the years, and they were all alright enough, I guess.
2. Private options (this is the high-end stuff—after dealing with some "public" doctors and some pretty botched diagnoses in the ER, I finally found someone who actually did the proper testing, nailed the diagnosis, and tracked my progress... you know, someone who actually knows their stuff): FiziBo (Ivor Božić) over by the Savica plateau. I originally went to him for one specific issue, he sorted it out, and eventually, I started seeing him for things I've been struggling with for years (and I'm finally seeing some actual, significant progress now).

I'm looking for a general practitioner here in Chicago, so I was wondering if anyone could toss some recommendations my way? I just moved to the area, so I definitely need to find a new doctor.
Which part of town?

Not sure where else to ask, so apologies for posting this here since I'm not looking for a doctor, just other medical staff.
Does anyone know who in Chicago offers private intramuscular injections for Neurobion (folic acid + B12)? I was told to see a specialist, but my family doctor won't do these types of shots anymore because of everything going on with COVID-19. I'll buy the ampules myself; I just need someone to administer them.

I’m looking for a dermatologist—ideally someone in Jastrebarsko since it’s closer to home, but if there’s nothing there, then maybe somewhere in Chicago. Honestly, all I need is a prescription for Accutane. I don't want a whole battery of unnecessary tests or anything; I just need a quick visit. My regular dermatologist, who handled this for me every couple of years, recently retired. I really don't want to be jerked around with ten different appointments and blood tests when one checkup should be plenty just to get the script written, pay the fee, and be done with it. Does anyone know a doctor who won't make things unnecessarily complicated?

From where I’m sitting, it looks like our healthcare system is slowly being dismantled right before our eyes. Certain departments in some hospitals are just flat-out turning people away. They tell you, "Go to your local community clinic," like they actually care... except those clinics haven't been taking or scheduling patients for three months now. Honestly, there's only one way to read this: they're clearing the path to funnel everyone into private clinics. It’s a racket. Scum.
And then you've got that puffed-up turkey on TV acting like he’s clueless. He’s out there talking about surreal waiting lists of maybe a month or two. Give me a break. You wait a year for an ophthalmologist at the Holy Spirit hospital. And I bet things are even worse over at the Chicago hospital.

I'm not holding my breath on you actually pulling that off. Honestly, the only way to deal with this is to call up some local community clinic and see if they’re taking new patients. When they inevitably tell you they aren't—which they always do—you just have to ask the nurse if she knows of any other clinics that actually have openings. If one even exists, she might point you in the right direction.

Just shoot an email over to Medicare on Mihanovićeva street and ask them to send you a list of where they have openings. That's exactly how they sent my mom her list for the gin.

I did the exact same thing—bought my own B vitamin ampules and went straight to my primary care physician, and the nurse there gave me the injections without any hassle at all. Honestly, I don't see why you should have to go through the trouble of finding a private clinic for this. 🤷

What they said about the Chicago hospital and Holy Spirit is true for once, but they actually *are* still seeing and scheduling patients.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere in Chicago where I can get a private neck lymph node biopsy done? I mean a full biopsy—actually removing the whole node, not just a needle cytology.
