William Taylor46 said:Is there anywhere in Chicago where you can get a private lymph node biopsy on the neck? Like an actual biopsy—removing the whole node, not just a fine needle aspiration.

I think you could probably get that done at a specialized surgical center out in the suburbs. Just give them a call and ask.

Looking for a urologist in Miami—or maybe even Chicago?

I'm looking for a recommendation for a neurologist—if that’s even a thing—who actually has the patience to dig through a mountain of test results and suggest the kind of deep-dive diagnostics that might finally pinpoint what's going on with these neurological issues I've been dealing with. Honestly, I don't care if they're based anywhere in the US or even abroad, as long as they're willing to actually investigate the root causes instead of just brushing them off. I just need a truly sharp diagnostician who won't quit until we have some real answers.

Dr. Damir Surjan at Križina hospital. He did transurethral resection twice for my mom (for papillary carcinoma on the posterior bladder wall). Really solid doctor—super conscientious and knows his stuff.

I need someone willing to order the right diagnostic tests to finally get some answers regarding several issues I've been having, most of which seem to be neurological in nature. Honestly, I'm open to anyone from anywhere in the US or even further abroad within the Western world, as long as they are truly dedicated to investigating the root causes and providing real answers. The most important thing is finding a truly skilled diagnostician.

I'd be just as interested in this. Please let me know if you find anything or come across any good leads. 🙂

Nothing on my end yet. If anyone hears something—seriously, please, someone find something!—I'll pass it along immediately. Same goes for you, just give me a shout if you track anything down.

I'm looking for a general practitioner in Chicago, so I was wondering if you guys could throw some recommendations my way? Just moved into the area and I really need to find a new doctor.

Same exact situation.
So, I just got a handful of private recommendations, and guess what? Absolutely nobody is taking on new patients. It's a total joke!
If anyone could just point me toward a list of general practitioners? I’m planning on hitting them up one by one since I have absolutely zero clue how to actually track down a doctor around here.

I’ve been dealing with pain that started in my forearm and eventually spread to my hand and upper arm. I already saw a neurologist for an EMG and a radiologist for X-rays of my hand, shoulder, and neck. They suspect it might be a spinal issue. Now, I’ve been referred to a physiatrist. Who should I see in Chicago?

Are you looking for private care or through Medicare?

If you're looking for a neurologist, I can't recommend Dr. Ivicic enough at the downtown medical center. She is incredibly thorough—she actually takes the time to look into every single test result and detail, no matter how small. She has this amazing ability to connect dots across different medical specialties, which makes her approach really impressive. Honestly, she’s just wonderful!

Does anyone have recommendations for an *exceptionally* skilled ophthalmologist? I am looking for a truly thorough clinical examination—nothing rushed or superficial. It’s quite a complex case regarding my prescription, which is something your average doctor often misdiagnoses (we're talking severe astigmatism, myopia, poor stereo vision, the onset of presbyopia, a history of significant childhood strabismus, and glaucoma running in the family). Any leads would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!

Still weighing my options on who to go with... I'll definitely give you the lowdown if I end up booking an appointment with her.🙂
