Where in Washington, D.C., or the surrounding area, besides Radiosurgery, can one have a neck node biopsy performed? To be clear, I am looking for an actual biopsy, not just a cytological puncture.

Two of my buddies worked over at General Electric. It was alright, I guess.

It’s the same with General Electric. I mean, they always went out of their way to help me, and you could tell they actually cared about making things right. I have nothing but respect for them. Honestly, it's because you just don't see that kind of effort everywhere else.

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a neurosurgeon in Indianapolis, the surrounding areas, or maybe somewhere in Washington, D.C.?
Thanks in advance for any leads.

Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a neurosurgeon? Specifically one who specializes in cranial issues rather than spine work. I think I've heard the best specialist is at St. Catherine, but I really don't want to go there. Does that doctor practice privately anywhere else, or maybe you could suggest another neurosurgeon who focuses on the head?

Hey everyone! So, my asthma has been acting up like crazy lately, and it’s getting pretty intense, so I’m on the hunt for a private pulmonologist in Washington, D.C. I really need someone who is highly recommended and actually knows their stuff because this situation is getting a bit tricky for me. I’ve spent quite a while scrolling through old threads from years ago trying to find some solid leads, but honestly, I haven't come up with anything helpful yet. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I had one really bad experience over at St. Catherine, and honestly, I don't think I'll be going back there. I've actually been present for several instances where people were voicing complaints about how they operate. It’s right across from General Electric, where the staff is always polite and actually seems to care about the patients. But at St. Catherine? Not so much anymore. I mean, sure, they have some good doctors and their new equipment is fine, but they just treat everyone like they're on an assembly line. They lack kindness, and they definitely lack patience. If they aren't feeling up to working on a specific day—and I waited a whole month for my appointment—then they shouldn't have scheduled me for that day in the first place. Regardless of whether they feel like working or not, you're still paying for the consultation. They talk about patients behind their backs, like "oh, this person didn't show up," they push certain tests on you, and sometimes they even seem to mock people. I've been to two smaller private clinics, and I swear, nobody behaves quite like the people at this place.

General Electric just confirmed they’re in on the gray matter thing.

Look, it's not like a person can pull double duty working private practice and at the hospital at the same time. It just doesn't work that way.

And don't even get me started on the scheduling. If they aren't actually going to see you on the day they scheduled you—and I waited a full month for this appointment—then why bother booking it in the first place? Whether they feel like working or not, you're still paying for the visit. Plus, the attitude is just toxic. They gossip about patients, like "Oh, this person didn't show up," or they try to push unnecessary tests on you. Sometimes they even go as far as mocking people. I've been to two smaller private clinics, and I swear, nobody acts that unprofessional. Never again.
Of course, because it’s only fair that irresponsible patients just flake out whenever they feel like it. Honestly, they should be hit where it actually hurts—right in the wallet.

I didn't cancel on them at all. When I was scheduled, I showed up and waited for an entire month. I really don't see any point in being bitter about it, but if anyone else has gone through this, maybe you could share what your experience was like?

Look, I wasn't talking about you. And "no room for negativity"? Please. After reading through some of the other posts on this board, I honestly don't think there's a single doctor around here who would actually satisfy you.

Does anyone know if you can get a private allergy panel done here in NYC for things like chemicals or cosmetics and stuff?
All I'm finding online are the standard tests for food, pollen, latex, and all that other usual junk...

Kimberly Ward said:I mean, it’s just not realistic for one person to juggle two jobs—one private practice and then shifts at the hospital.
Oh, they absolutely can. Honestly, I think half the people out there are doing exactly that right now.

Actually, most people do exactly that—it’s possible, provided you have the proper clearance from the hospital director and the Department of Health.

fadedhound7 said:Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a solid orthopedist in Washington, D.C.
It’s probably best to specify what you're actually dealing with—like knees, hips, shoulders, and so on—because, well, they tend to be pretty highly sub-specialized these days.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a proctologist regarding anal fissures? — I've seen Dr. Ivanovic, Kekez, Ratancic, and Lastric in the past, but honestly, none of them really met my expectations. I know about Dr. Fila, but I was wondering if there are any other reliable, high-quality specialists out there?
