I’d definitely recommend Harni clinic. Everything there is so spotless and organized, plus all the gynecologists are incredibly approachable and easy to talk to.

I'm looking for recommendations for a really, truly great private gynecologist in Chicago. I’m curious about what the typical costs for an exam look like, too. I know this topic comes up all the time on these forums, but I haven't been able to find anything specific that actually answers my questions in any of the old threads. I've already gone through three different doctors in just the last four or five years, and it's been frustrating. I deal with these really intense infections, yet every single test comes back perfectly normal, so nobody can tell me what's actually going on. I feel like I've spent a small fortune on various vaginal treatments and nothing seems to work... so I've decided to try seeing someone privately, hoping maybe a specialist will have better luck, but I honestly don't even know where to start or what I should expect to pay. Please, if you have any leads, let me know! Thanks so much.
You might want to check out Dr. Ayub over in Newark; he's a wonderful guy and I think he might even have a practice somewhere in Chicago too. He's great, his office is very nice, and the prices aren't outrageous at all. A Pap smear and a vaginal ultrasound usually run around $100 (I don't remember the exact amount, but it's somewhere in that ballpark)

I actually went to see that gynecologist over at the ExxonMobil clinic in Martinville. Honestly, the guy is top-tier.👍

Just adding my two cents here—I really can't say enough good things about the Villa clinic and Dr. Mario Gligora! 👍

So... I need to see a dermatologist. I’ve actually never been to one before, so I’m wondering if anyone knows where I can find a GOOD one here in Chicago? By "good," I mean a doctor who isn't going to rush me out of the office after barely listening to half of what I have to say. I've had that happen with doctors in the past, and I really want to avoid being put in that situation again. If anyone has a recommendation, please let me know... also, I do have a referral, so I'm looking for someone covered by Medicare rather than a private clinic...
thanks 😉
thanks 😉

It really depends on what you're looking for. Personally, I’ve had a great experience with the doctors at the skin cancer clinic over in Salat.

I’d really recommend seeing Jane Doe; she has her practice over on Masic Street, just a little ways past Kvatric. She is truly wonderful and doesn't charge an arm and a leg, plus you can ask her absolutely anything—she’ll take the time to explain everything to you clearly!

John Doe 😍 If I were a man, I’d definitely marry that woman 🙏 🙏 🙏

I couldn't agree more 👍
I actually visited her back when she was practicing at the university clinic, and let me tell you, she is absolutely phenomenal... I am planning to switch my care over to her very soon 😁

I actually saw her back when she was working at the student health center, and honestly, she’s great. I'm thinking about switching over to her practice soon. 😁
I've been seeing Jane Doe for years, but then recently I accidentally ended up working the wrong shift and... well, I think I fell in love. 😍
How incredibly kind and overly pleasant that woman is... she practically force-feeds you positive energy. 🙂 Who would've thought that my trip to the gynecologist would actually turn into such a blast? 🤣 😍 😁

I've been dealing with some hair issues lately. My hairstylist thinks there might be an underlying internal cause, so she suggested I go see my primary care physician. However, the doctor mentioned that I really should have a dermatologist run some specific tests to pinpoint what's going on. The problem is, I honestly have no clue where to start or which specialists to look for!

Just checking in from a private dental practice here in Chicago. I happened to stumble upon this site, and I figured I’d drop a quick thought...
Honestly, I had no idea people used this platform to swap intel like this, especially regarding dentists... Based on the five pages I’ve skimmed through so far, I can tell there are a handful of practitioners who feel forced to advertise themselves this way—which is their own business, even though, frankly, it shouldn't be necessary at all!
The real eye-opener for me, though? It feels like over 90% of the contributors on this site are, quite frankly, total cheapskates. Just straight-up scavengers looking for a handout.
They want top-tier service and high-end medical procedures, provided everything is as close to FREE as possible.
Good grief, people, don't you get it? You want premium quality? Well, you have to pay for it. It’s a simple equation: you get what you pay for.
Let me tell you about an experience I had about seven or eight years back:
One afternoon, a guy walks into my office without an appointment. He was a blue-collar worker, clearly struggling a bit financially, wearing a green jumpsuit, and he was in some serious tooth pain. I did a full exam and saw the damage: two fillings had fallen out entirely, three were partially gone, and two others were so old they were practically expired. That’s seven different teeth that needed work right then and there. Back then—just like now—I used to show patients exactly what was wrong with them in a very direct, hands-on way. It was considered pretty cutting-edge for our setting at the time, and I did the same for this guy...
His response? "Well, Doc, I actually went to see your colleague just yesterday (he’s right down the street from me, though we haven't met personally) for these exact same pains, and he told me everything looks fine."
So I asked him: "Does this colleague take your insurance?"
He said: "Yeah, that's exactly why I went to him!"
I told him: "Look, unfortunately, all I can do is diagnose your current situation. It's up to you to decide where you want to go to actually fix all THAT."
Everything would be perfectly fine if that colleague of mine hadn't been specifically named and recommended by one of you "keyboard warriors" on here.
I'm just relieved that my name, and none of my friends' names, ever show up on sites like this...
But hey, you guys can see for yourselves!

Worker: "Yes, that's why I went to him!"
Me: "Unfortunately, I can only diagnose your current condition. It is up to you to decide where you want to go to fix it."...
It would all be fine if that colleague hadn't been recommended by one of you "keyboard warriors" on here.
I am relieved that neither my name nor those of my colleagues are mentioned on sites like this...
But you can see for yourselves. ...
Who exactly are you calling a scavenger?
How can you label someone like that when you don't even know them?
And who expects free services? I have never heard of a dentist whose patient ended up owing them money, so what are you talking about?
Your incredible level of culture and etiquette really shines through in your very first post. How do you manage that, maestro?🙏

Unfortunately, I can't really help you out there.
My experience is limited to skin cancer clinics dealing with things like moles and skin tags.

The woman is just too good, way too sympathetic... she practically floods you with positive energy 🙂 Who would have thought that my trips to the gynecologist would actually become something I look forward to 🤣 😍 😁
How much does a full exam cost?
