Does anyone know of a reliable health portal where I can actually ask doctors questions directly?

Rebecca Morris2 said:Also, yeah—I have those annoying prominent ears. I’m turning 18 soon and right now I can't even tie my hair up; it's thick and long, which is miserable in the summer heat, and my ears still poke through the hair—it's gross. I've decided to get surgery and done my research, but you wouldn't believe it—my parents won't let me do it. I spent so much time coming home crying as a kid because other children would tease me—the emotional scars are real, and my self-confidence is basically zero. Yet, they still won't let me, and they don't want to pay for it; I honestly can't believe it. Would any of you allow your child to go through this if it was destroying their mental health like this? 😠 Does anyone have advice on how to earn enough money for this? I don't want to go through Medicaid—to be honest, I'm terrified they'll do a hack job, and since you only get one shot at this, I want it done properly. Costs? Doctors? Any experiences?

I'm planning on seeing Johnson,6 $0.00 and everything—exams and all that—is included in the price
I'm not sure what he's like, but he couldn't possibly be worse than the doctors we have in the public hospitals...😠

Talk to your parents—explain everything, cry if you have to.😁

Hi,
I have a massive fear of dentists, so I haven't been to one in over 10 years. About six months ago, I found an amazing doctor in NYC. She actually did my first session under general anesthesia, but now she’s fixing my graveyard of teeth using just local numbing. Dr. Iva Turner has a website.

Has anyone here actually dealt with the Rident clinic over in Seattle? Specifically, I’m looking into their primary care dental office—you know, the one that takes Medicare—rather than their private practice wing...

Just so everyone is clear, Dr. Smith’s website explicitly claims he provides emergency care to his patients 24/7. What an absolute joke. That is a complete lie.
My boyfriend went to see him this past Friday to get a tooth fixed, and the guy just slapped some temporary filling in there, took my money, and called it a day. Naturally, that filling fell out by that evening. We tried calling Dr. Smith both yesterday and today, but of course, nobody is picking up the phone. So now, he just gets to sit there and deal with the pain all weekend long.
Hands down the worst dentist in Indianapolis!

One more thing—does anyone know if the community health center in Indianapolis still offers an on-call emergency dentist?

I'm reopening this thread. I need to get a gastroscopy done, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place in San Diego and what the typical cost is for the procedure?
Thanks.

I'm thinking about hitting up a nutritionist to chat about my diet and stuff. Does anyone know who I should see in Chicago, and how does the whole process work? Like, do I need a referral from my primary care doctor, or can I just go private? And if it's private, any idea what the damage is going to be?

I’m looking for a solid nutritionist recommendation in Chicago. Also, how does the process even work? Like, do I need a referral from my doctor, or can I just book someone directly? And does it cost a ton...

do a little digging online—there are plenty of private practices out there. honestly, if Dr. Smith refers you, you probably have to be dealing with something pretty serious or a major diagnosis to even get in the door.

Anyone else got a solid lead on an orthopedist or hand surgeon???

I was told to check out Bilic over in the Salad district, but man—the waiting list for a consultation is months long, and if you actually need surgery? You're looking at two years. I seriously can't wait that long.

thanks

Thanks!

You should check out the Kalajzic clinic over on Moliški American—I can't remember the exact house number, oops! Ask for Dr. Bozikovic. The exam runs about $150, and while you're at it, you can just have them run that H. pylori test too...

I was wondering if anyone here might have some firsthand experience with Omega Dental in Chicago? I’m looking to get a tooth pulled and then eventually get a bridge fitted—honestly, I'm looking for a dentist who has a lot of patience! Since they perform everything under anesthesia, I really want to make sure I'm in good hands. Their website looks quite lovely and professional—really, it does!—but as we all know, a polished web presence isn't always the full story. I would just love to hear from someone who has actually sat in their chair before.
Thanks

So, has anyone here actually dealt with Butterfly Medical Group before?
They pretty much focus entirely on thyroid issues and stuff like that.

If you've been there or know someone who has, please let me know what the deal is.
