I’ve got a fractured tooth. It’s showing up on the X-ray, specifically along the F line, so it's pretty clear what we're dealing with. To be precise, I'm not talking about a chip where a piece broke off; it’s something internal involving the root and the nerve. The only solution is to have the tooth extracted. The issue isn't the extraction itself, but the fact that this is a front tooth, making it highly visible. My dentist suggested replacing it with either an implant or a bridge. What has your experience been with those options? I can't just let him pull the tooth without having an immediate plan for an implant or a bridge—I can't exactly walk around town, go to class, or hang out with my boyfriend with a missing front tooth. Is it actually possible to get everything handled in one session right after the extraction?

I can't exactly let him yank it out and leave me with a gap; I can't be walking around campus or hanging out with my boyfriend looking like I'm missing a tooth. You might want to move this over to the dental questions thread... you'll probably get much faster answers from the actual dentists and specialists over there...

In Chicago, it’s alright, though I have to rely on Blue Cross Blue Shield (unfortunately, I can't swing $300-$133 for private checkups).
If you can find somewhere near the center, that would be great, but if someone is actually good, I don't mind traveling a bit further. Thanks.

It’s an adductor tendon issue at the hip, man—basically a sports hernia.

Feel free to reach out to dr. Starešinić—he’s great, both as a person and a pro...

Does anyone have a good physiotherapist they could recommend in Chicago, and would you mind letting me know roughly what a private consultation might run me?

I have nothing but praise for this incredible woman.
She actually takes the time to sit down with you and explain everything in detail, which is huge because I always end up with a million questions. 😁
She is highly skilled, completely dedicated to her practice, and easy to talk to. She fixed every single issue I’d been dealing with for years just because my previous doctors were incompetent and careless.

Adding my vote for Silva Babić, 👍. Like Schiba said, she’s patient, professional, and won't leave you hanging when you have questions.

I can't tell you the exact price since it's been ages since my last visit, but you should probably call to schedule about 3 or 4 days ahead. At least, that was my experience.

Does anyone happen to have any info or perhaps some feedback regarding Dr. Anita Hrestak over in Atlanta, Georgia?

...who specializes in bacteriology. I don't have all the details yet—I'm still waiting on the guy to get back to me with the actual diagnosis—but the bottom line is that this person is dealing with some kind of bacterial cocktail that's essentially eating away at the flesh on their leg. From the inside out.

I really want to point them toward a solid private specialist who can actually cure the underlying issue, rather than someone who just hacks away at necrotic tissue all day.

Any leads? 🤷

Man, don't start preaching all that alternative nonsense to me, especially not that junk they're peddling over at those sketchy supplement companies, because you'll end up behind bars before you even know what hit you.

Hey everyone! I’ve been scouring the web looking for some info regarding Dr. mraz based out of Columbus, Ohio.
Does anyone know if he runs his own private practice or if he offers private consultations?
If anyone happens to have his phone number, office address, or even an email address, please let me know!
What’s the best way to actually get a hold of him?
Thanks in advance! 😉

I’ve actually posted about contact lenses before—honestly, my best advice is just to go see an ophthalmologist:
Dr. Ahmed Zin is great; he’s based over in Atlanta, Georgia, and you can even use your insurance referral if you have one. His office is right on Kašinski ulica, near the police station, in that same building where the dentist and the Ghetaldus optical shop are located...

Just a heads-up to everyone: sharing anyone's private info—including your own, for heaven's sake—is strictly forbidden.
Anyone caught posting someone else's data will face an immediate 500-point penalty and a 7-day ban. If you do it again? You'll be reported directly to the abuse department and the police!

So, Megan Williams9—if I catch even one more slip-up from your end, you’re getting a permanent ban and a formal report. You’ve already been put on ice once, and now you have been warned exactly what's coming. You are breaking the law, and quite frankly, I don't care about your "intentions." And don't even think about trying to use clones to bypass this—I'll sniff you out in two minutes flat.

Regards,
terminate

So, we're dealing with childhood obesity here. Does anyone know of a good specialist or clinic for an evaluation and some actual guidance?
The pediatrician claims we don't need to do anything because he'll just "grow out of it," but honestly, it's getting worrying—I'm concerned about the long-term health implications...
Plus, weight issues run in the family (dad, grandma, grandpa—most are well over 220 lbs).
If anyone has leads, please let me know.

Well, I actually went to Aritheru 😉
The staff there are super knowledgeable. A checkup is about $67, but they take insurance too—you just have to wait a bit longer. They’ve got everything you might need for therapy, too. I did some pool work and laser therapy there. You can use your insurance for that, but if you go private, treatments are around 60-$33 maybe, depending on what kind of session you get 😉.

Thanks!

Just one thing—whatever you do, stay far away from Dr. Vučinić’s office!

Honestly, I’m in the exact same boat. I am desperately hunting for a doctor who actually wants to open up a private practice in New York City. At this point, I'd settle for just about anyone, as long as they're actually accepting new patients. It shouldn't be this hard!

As far as I know, there’s an obesity center over at Washington, D.C. University Hospital.
Try giving them a call... maybe they can actually help you.

Thanks, 🙂

That’s exactly how I felt after meeting him... today marks the 12th day since my surgery and I finally had the sutures removed. So far, everything seems to be progressing according to plan, even though my specific case was quite a complicated procedure. 🙂

Can anyone point me toward a solid endocrinologist in the Washington, D.C. area?
I've been dealing with irregular cycles, plus I've had some issues with my adrenal glands in the past.

thanks
