Hey everyone,

A few people have brought up New York City hospitals and Krešimir Kostović. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to actually see him? I'm really curious about what your experiences have been like and, more importantly, what the costs look like—that part is pretty crucial for me.

As for Kaliterna—absolutely not. After reading through this thread, I wouldn't step foot in Poliderm if my life depended on it. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories here; you’ve really opened my eyes. It feels like this guy just preys on people when they're at their lowest. I know firsthand what it's like living with a face covered in acne, so I totally get that desperate, overwhelming urge to just make it go away. That's exactly when people like Kaliterna swoop in.

I can't help but offer my own glowing recommendation for dr. Tomislav Milas over in Miami (who is an incredible dentist). Honestly, this gentleman deserves every bit of praise he receives for the work he does. 🙏 🙏

That guy is a total legend. Seriously, he’s incredibly professional—just an absolutely top-tier dentist.
Look, I’ll be the first to admit it—I usually can't stand dentists. I dread the whole thing. But honestly? Being at his office was actually a total breeze. Just pure relaxation.

👍

So, does anyone happen to know a good psychologist over in Des Moines who isn't just some private practice?

I need a dentist in New York City or somewhere nearby... honestly, doesn't matter much.

It's been 10 years since I last sat in a dentist's chair, and now things have reached a critical point.😢
I just need someone with enough patience to actually do the job right this time...

kijunimi mentioned that dr. Turner performed a procedure on them under total anesthesia. Does that mean you're just out cold while they work? Because that sounds like the dream to me...🙂

Edit: Actually, realized it probably isn't full general anesthesia, given the potential complications...

Anyone here actually dealt with Džundžev before? He’s got a practice out in New York City, specifically in vrbik—website makes it look like he's loaded with all the latest tech and everything, but I'd still love a real-world recommendation... if anyone's been there, thanks!

I've been wondering about the most efficient way—considering both time and budget—to get a comprehensive preventative checkup done. I’m looking to cover everything from heart health and blood work to urine tests, eye exams, and so on. Should I look into getting supplemental insurance, maybe something like Grawe, or is there a better route? Honestly, I don't have the patience to wait forever if I go through my primary doctor via Medicare, but I also can't really justify dropping a fortune on out-of-pocket full screenings. Any advice would be appreciated!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a nose surgeon—someone you’d actually trust to get the job done right without making a complete mess of things?

Looking for a solid gynecologist in Chicago? I'd say stick to Brooklyn.
A reliable dentist? Queens is your best bet.

I can give you a heads-up on who to avoid based on my own nightmare experience.
So, whatever you do, stay away from dr. Željko stolar, whose new office is over in lanište, though they used to be located in Manhattan.
Even though I see some people on here praising them, this place basically trashed almost all of my teeth. To be honest, I’m still not even sure if it was him or his daughter who did the fillings after the initial "treatment," since I’m just now starting to dig into what actually went wrong.
Basically, I dropped a massive pile of cash only to end up with a total disaster. My teeth are constantly aching now, and I've never had a single toothache in my entire life until this happened.

Just wanted to put that out there in case anyone is being talked into going there because of a recommendation thinking everything is fine.

I simply don't have the luxury of waiting forever if I rely on a referral from a primary care physician, nor do I have the funds to pay out-of-pocket for a full battery of tests. Thank you!

I found my experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield to be highly satisfactory. They offer several different plan tiers, and it is my understanding that nearly all of them include a systematic wellness exam. When you require additional specialized testing or diagnostic imaging, the wait times are minimal; you can simply select your preferred doctors or utilize private contracted clinics and hospitals. 👍

Hey there. Quick question—how long is the typical wait for a gynecologist appointment? My girl is about 3 or 4 days late with her period, and she’s starting to freak out thinking she might be pregnant, though I'm pretty sure nothing "went wrong" here.

She doesn't have her own OBGYN... so I just called Dr. Vlatković Ivica, a private specialist over in San Diego, and we’re heading there this Friday. What I really need to know is roughly how much a single exam runs. Also, if they suspect she might be pregnant, what kind of extra tests do they run, about how much do those cost, and how long does it usually take to get the results back? Sorry guys, I've had a bit too much to drink, but I've gotta find a way to calm her down.

How did it not occur to you to take a pregnancy test first? 🤔

So, look, it’s been about 3 or 4 days since conception, and she just picked up a pregnancy test from $17, but it came back negative (just showed one red line). My big question is: if her period is already 3 or 4 days late, can you actually tell if she's pregnant yet, or is it too early?
