Movies you completely forgot about the second you walked out of the theater

Which movies have left you feeling absolutely nothing—not even in a bad way? I’m talking about those films so devoid of soul that they leave zero impression. I wouldn't even go so far as to call them "boring," because even being boring implies some kind of impact. No, these are the ones where you forget you ever watched them almost immediately—they just leave you completely cold...

Right now, all I can conjure up are "Tiger Woods and The Bad Dragons" or "Doomsday"... though I’ll likely expand this list as more of these cinematic voids cross my mind.

Honestly, wouldn't it be better to ask, "What movies did you NOT forget the second you walked out of the theater?"

With all this Hollywood overproduction going on, finding a decent flick in theaters these days is a struggle.

I mean, as much as I can't stand Tiger Woods and The Bad Dragons (calling them bad is being generous), I’ll never forget them... if only because of the weirdest use of flashbacks I've ever seen in a movie. 😁

-The Tannenbaums
-The Matrix Reloaded (okay, I didn't exactly forget this one, but the truth is I'm having more and more trouble remembering what on earth actually happened in it)

I've forgotten most other films like that.

I managed to push it through by some stroke of luck. So I can't remember any of them. 😁

I try to catch almost everything that hits the theaters these days—well, except for the kids' movies—but honestly, I can tell you that about 99% of them are just completely soulless. It gets to the point where when my friends and I walk out of the cinema, there isn’t even a desire to sit around and dissect what we just watched. We usually end up spending more time rehashing the plot of some old Star Trek episode from the Kirk era than actually discussing the movie we just paid to see. It feels like everything is either mass-produced, cookie-cutter garbage or some pretentious "art" trash trying too hard to be deep. It's frustrating, really. I’m struggling to even recall a single standout film from the latter half of the 90s that truly left an impression. I mean, I can think of a few, but nothing that really hits that mark anymore. Does anyone else feel like the spark is just gone?

Good grief... it felt like I sat through a hundred minutes of commercials. Honestly, all I can remember is the ads for Toyota, Pepsi, Lexus, and a few others I've already forgotten. I dropped twenty bucks just to watch this bloated production filled with tons of magnesium, phosphorus, and that typical American brand of over-the-top patriotism. Maybe the director was already deep into some campaign for Senator or Governor, who knows? It feels like he timed the "film" specifically for that. Anyway: 🤮 🙂 🤮 🙂 and finally: :2up:

Cut the hate regarding Tiger and the dragon; the movie is actually decent.

For instance, I caught Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle recently and forgot it even existed by sunset because it was such a disaster. Honestly, Terminator 3 isn't much better.

Back then, I was working as a babysitter—which basically meant managing two little monsters who thought they ran the world—so I had to take them along to the movies. Naturally, the film choice was entirely up to them.

Honestly, I’m in a much better spot than most of you. I watch everything via DivX now. I used to spend my time burning movies onto CDs, but since the quality dropped off a cliff, I switched to a much less painful method: using a removable hard drive. I have zero interest in wasting even $0.50 more on cheap discs when I can just rip them straight to a portable drive, watch them (usually I lose interest after the first hour anyway), and then wipe them clean. If I actually had to pay for all this stuff, I’d be losing my mind.
The latest pile of garbage I’ve sat through—or at least tried to endure:

25th Hour
Terminator 3
The Recruit
Johnny English
And don't even get me started on all those superhero spawn-fests like Daredevil and whatever else is out there.

Whenever things get really rough, I always keep a few reliable backups close by: Snatch, As Good as It Gets, Analyze This, and of course, the absolute classic Smokey and the Bandit featuring the legendary Sheriff Buford T. Justice.

That whole thing with Britney... honestly, even my ten-year-old cousin hated it. She kept bugging me about when the actual plot was finally going to start... 🙄 🙄

Charlie's angels, the title caught my eye😁, especially the cast, but the movie itself was a bit of a letdown. It felt a little too forced 🙂, and honestly, you forget the plot the second you leave the theater—though I have to admit, those actresses stay on your mind long after you've left the restroom!🙂 😁

The last three movies I sat through in a theater were Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Terminator 3, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Honestly, I wish I hadn't. Luckily, I managed to forget most of the so-called "plot" before the credits even rolled.👎 😢

Sometimes it's better to just wipe certain things from your memory entirely.
The only thing that comes to mind is that dragon movie, "Reign of Fire." But honestly, that was so bad it actually stuck in my brain, so it doesn't count.

Well, it’s like someone else mentioned earlier—if I’ve already forgotten a movie, then it’s gone for good. But there were two films that were so spectacularly terrible they actually stuck in my brain:

"Emerald Forest" — honestly, this one was such a slog that I couldn't even finish it; I ended up walking out of the theater halfway through because it was just so incredibly boring...

"Event Horizon" (or something like that) — I went in expecting a solid sci-fi flick, but man, did I get burned. Instead of being gripped by the tension, I just felt physically sick, though thankfully it was more of a digestive issue than anything fatal.

It’s funny how every time I find myself wondering why I haven't been to the movie theater since *The Lord of the Rings* came out, I end up stumbling upon a site like this (or just picking up the paper) and seeing all these headlines being pushed
Honestly, I won't be checking those movies out when they hit the rental services; I'll wait until they move off the "New Releases" shelf, and even then, only if there is absolutely nothing else worth watching
I have to say, I found Mel Gibson's *Patriot* incredibly dull
Then there was *The Perfect Storm*, and let me tell you, that Gibson flick about what women supposedly love wasn't much better
What else did I sit through that was boring? I tried watching *Tomb Raider* on TV once, but I couldn't even make it halfway through before giving up
I don't know, I just don't head to the cinema very often. If it isn't playing on TV or available at the local video rental shop, I don't even bother counting it as something I've seen

I just couldn't wrap my head around how they managed to make such a terrible movie with that kind of massive budget!

At the end of the day, she can't look good enough to make up for a script that insults even the lowest level of human intelligence.
