Erm... you got a little worked up when someone played that Islamic track, claiming it only gets under your skin when it’s being pushed by some hardcore Religious Fanatic (not that I have any love for them either—I actually used to call a girl I was crushing on a Religious Fanatic just to make sure she knew she wasn't perfect 🙂). So, by your own logic, that song should only annoy you if it were being belted out by a die-hard believer. But it wasn't.

Yeah, exactly... I just can't stand the sound of those songs. As for why I don't care for people of that faith, I explained that part earlier based on religion.

It’s the same deal, but I don't think there's actually a version where they play it "together." That track came out on that Nirvana/The Jesus Lizard split single (I think the Nirvana track was "Oh The Guilt" or something similar)... Anyway, some pirate who put together that red Nirvana compilation didn't realize the difference, so he just threw The Jesus Lizard on the CD. I ended up blasting The Jesus Lizard on the jukebox at the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago, ha! To be fair, over the last six months or so, it's become totally normal to hear Nomeansno / Lizard / Shellac / JSBX everywhere you go in the city, but this was four years ago, back when things weren't quite as mainstream...

because I have NEVER heard anything remotely resembling rock there, let alone hard rock...
the last time I swung by (which was the absolute last time), they were playing Nelly, and that was it!! I am officially done with that place...
