If you want to quote multiple different posts, select the "Multi-Quote" option (to the right of the Quote button) for all the posts you want to include except for the final one, then simply click the Quote button on the last desired post.

Let's see if this works...

All those posts will be automatically placed inside Quote tags. From there, you can manually remove unnecessary text, bold important parts, or insert your own comments between the quotes.

Did I get it?

edit: It worked.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm

did I?

edit: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!

Keith Rodriguez27 said:That’s because they stay trapped in that giant quote box since you forget to delete the original big quote you get when you first hit the quote icon at the bottom of the post. You gotta wipe that first quote out before you start adding your own commentary. But if you do that, you lose the person's name and the link back to their original post. So, here's the move: do what I always do—just grab that
tag from the very end of the post and paste it right after the specific section you actually want to reply to, then use the "highlight and quote" method for the rest of your stuff.
you totally forget to delete that massive quote box that pops up automatically when you click the quote icon at the bottom of a post.

So, yeah, just clear out that first big quote before you start typing your reply. But if you do that, you lose the username and the link to their actual post. So what I usually do—my little workaround—is just grab[/I]

the end of the post and paste it right onto the end of the first section you want to talk about. Then, for everything else, just use that "highlight then quote" trick.

Is there a way to just "break up" my text and use the Wrap Quote feature for just one specific sentence or part of their post?😕
Could someone please walk me through this process—really step-by-step, as if you were explaining it to a complete novice?😁I'll be the first to admit that these technical nuances don't always come naturally to me, but I truly want to master this. I really want my responses to sound more coherent and well-structured...😍

Yeah, same here..

Timothy Jackson2 said:If you’re looking to pull just a single sentence out of someone else's message, just highlight it and wrap it with these tags: [ QUOTE] [ /QUOTE] (Just a heads up, don't leave any extra spaces between the [ and the Q, otherwise things might get a little messy)

So, it looks like this:

Don't be shy! Just try quoting one of the posts on the board and you'll see those quote brackets pop right up for you...

To me, all of this just seems unnecessarily complicated...🙄Look, I know how to quote someone's post, emphasize it, underline it, or bold it—whatever works—but I haven't quite figured out how to reply to multiple people all at once... So, is it possible to just "slice up" the text and use the Wrap Quote feature to address only one specific sentence or part of what they said?😕
Is that what it is?...

Can someone please break this down for me? I’m looking for a really thorough, step-by-step explanation... you know, like you’re explaining it to a five-year-old...😁I have to admit, things like this...
I’ll admit, some of these concepts aren't exactly clicking for me right away, but I am genuinely committed to mastering them... I truly want to reach a point where my responses carry more weight and sound much more meaningful than they do now...😍
I was thinking—maybe something like this...?

I guess you could say I’m just super sensitive to everything. Like, way too much. It’s one of those things where my brain just picks up on every little vibe or tiny detail that everyone else seems to totally breeze past. Honestly, it can be a lot sometimes, you know? Just feeling everything at max volume. kaže:
Honestly, this whole thing feels way too complicated for me. Like, I don't know, it's just a lot to wrap my head around right now.🙄So, look, I know how to quote someone, highlight stuff, underline it, bold it—whatever you need to make it pop—but honestly, I haven't quite figured out how to reply to a bunch of different people all at once. Like, is there a way to just... chop up the text? You know, where I just grab one specific sentence from a post and quote that part alone? That would be way easier.😕
Can someone please break this down for me? Like, walk me through it step-by-step, nice and slow... you know, like you're explaining it to a five-year-old? I'm totally lost here.😁I gotta be honest, this kind of stuff doesn't always click for me right away, but I’m super down to learn. I really want to get better at this—like, I actually want my responses to sound like they make sense for once!😍

Honestly, I feel like I’ve been acting super hypersensitive lately. It’s one of those moods where everything just hits different, you know? Like, even the smallest little thing feels like a huge deal. I was grabbing coffee near Starbucks this morning and the barista gave me this look—nothing crazy, just a glance—and I swear I spent the next twenty minutes wondering if I had something on my face or if I’d somehow offended them. Total overthinker vibes. Just feeling a bit extra sensitive to everything today. kaže:
Honestly, this whole thing feels way too complicated for me. Like, why does it have to be such a massive headache? I feel like I’m staring at a giant knot of wires and I can't even find the end of the string. Just my two cents, though!🙄:

Me too!

Can someone please break this down for me? Like, walk me through it step-by-step, super detailed... you know, explain it to me like I'm five?

Hey! Just popping in here. Hope everyone's having a killer day!

I've been wondering—how exactly does one quote a single long post in multiple separate pieces...

Basically, someone drops this massive wall of text, and I want to be able to quote it bit by bit—responding to specific sections—while ensuring the original author's name stays pinned at the top of every single quote block.

I see plenty of people pulling this off, yet I'm completely lost on the mechanics of it.

Same here.😁

It’s just not working—plain and simple. I’ve tried everything, and honestly? It’s a total dead end.

I’m approaching it this way—and I’ll try to be as thorough as possible—so bear with me! From the very beginning!...):
If I hit "Quote" on a post—you know, that little button that brings up the quoted text—I can just highlight the specific section I want to reply to... and then what? Is there a trick to making sure only my chosen snippet shows up?
PHP Code:
[ICODE][COLOR=#000000] [COLOR=#0000BB]To lie—well, that’s a slippery slope, isn't it? It’s one of those things that seems simple enough on the surface, but once you start pulling at the threads, the whole thing just unravels. You think you're just smoothing over a little wrinkle here or there—maybe avoiding an awkward conversation or keeping the peace—but before you know it, you've built this entire house of cards that you have to spend every waking moment defending! It’s exhausting, honestly. There’s a certain weight to it—a mental tax, if you will—that you pay every time you aren't being straight with someone. I've always felt that even a "white lie" carries its own kind of baggage. You might think you're doing someone a favor, but really, you're just robbing them of the truth, which is the foundation of any real connection. Whether it's in business or just hanging out with friends, integrity is everything. Once that trust is breached, it is so incredibly difficult to stitch back together![/COLOR][COLOR=#007700]; [/COLOR][COLOR=#0000BB]I click on the icon—[/COLOR][COLOR=#007700]([/COLOR][COLOR=#0000BB]It’s just like one of those little speech bubbles you see in a comic strip![/COLOR][COLOR=#007700]...); [[/COLOR][COLOR=#0000BB]U[/COLOR][COLOR=#007700]][/COLOR][COLOR=#0000BB]The selected portion of text will be wrapped in q tags.[/COLOR][COLOR=#007700][/[/COLOR][COLOR=#0000BB]U[/COLOR][COLOR=#007700]] [/COLOR][/COLOR][/ICODE]

"At the very beginning and at the very end."I’ll probably tack a little comment right after that quote at the end—and then I'll go ahead and highlight that second section again! I might throw in another icon, too... followed by one more quick remark tucked behind the quote. Just keeping things lively!

I’ve been running into this same headache lately—why does everything at the bottom of my post end up swallowed by one giant "mega-quote"? It’s like my little nested quotes and my actual commentary are all getting sucked into a black hole of formatting! It's driving me a bit crazy trying to keep things tidy. It actually makes sense—especially since my own comments are tucked right inside that "main" quote block... don't you think?
It looks like you might have cut off there! I was just getting ready to dive into this—did you have a specific thought or question in mind? I'm all ears and ready to jump in whenever you're set!
I’ve got to be honest—either I'm totally misreading the situation here, or I am completely missing a key piece of the puzzle!

To pull it off—to actually make it happen without anyone even suspecting a thing—is where the real magic lies!
So... what now?🤷
Everyone keeps telling me the same thing—just highlight the text, hit the icon, and leave a comment... So, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing! But, well... just look at what I'm actually getting out of it...
Something isn't quite clicking here—I feel like I'm missing something obvious! Would any of you patient souls mind taking a look at what I've written? I'm trying to figure out exactly where my logic is tripping up...:m

Peter, it’s quite simple. Just highlight the specific text you want to address and click the "Wrap Quote" icon, then type your response after it. Repeat the process by highlighting the next section and clicking the icon again.
Everything ends up nested inside one massive quote because you aren't deleting the closing tag at the end. When you hit the quote button, the forum automatically adds the opening and closing tags; leave the first one so people know what you're replying to, but manually delete that tag at the bottom.
