jadetrucker43 said:If you’re looking to pull in a few different posts at once, just hit that "Multi-Quote" option—it's right there next to the standard Quote button—for every message you want to reference, except for the very last one. Once you've tagged them all, just click the regular Quote button on that final post. Everything should automatically wrap itself in those quote tags, giving you the freedom to clean up any fluff, bold the parts that actually matter, or slide your own commentary in between the blocks of text. It's pretty straightforward, really.

Got it?

then you just go ahead and click the standard Quote button on that final post you want to include.

Right?

The system will automatically wrap all those posts in quote tags for you, which means you can manually strip out the fluff, bold the stuff that actually matters, or slide your own commentary right in between the snippets.

Karen Adams2 said:I have to say, this all feels a bit overly complicated to me...🙄I mean, I understand how to quote someone’s message, emphasize it, underline it, or bold it, but I haven't quite figured out how to reply to multiple people at once. Is there a way to just "break up" my text and use the Wrap Quote feature for just one specific sentence or part of their post?😕
Could someone please walk me through this process—really step-by-step, as if you were explaining it to a complete novice?😁I'll be the first to admit that these technical nuances don't always come naturally to me, but I truly want to master this. I really want my responses to sound more coherent and well-structured...😍

And don't get me started...😁

Look, I know how to quote someone, emphasize things, bold them, whatever—but I haven't figured out how to reply to multiple posts at once. So I just chop the text up and quote single sentences instead.

That’s pretty much my approach too...🙄

Can anyone explain this clearly? Like, walk me through it step-by-step? I'll admit, I struggle with this kind of stuff, but I really want to learn. I want my replies to actually make sense.

Well, there's plenty of us around...😉😁

Keith Rodriguez27 said:That’s because they stay trapped in that giant quote box since you forget to delete the original big quote you get when you first hit the quote icon at the bottom of the post. You gotta wipe that first quote out before you start adding your own commentary. But if you do that, you lose the person's name and the link back to their original post. So, here's the move: do what I always do—just grab that
tag from the very end of the post and paste it right after the specific section you actually want to reply to, then use the "highlight and quote" method for the rest of your stuff.[/I]

I suppose that happened to me too.

So, I guess you should just delete that initial quote before you even start commenting on the post.

Fine

But if you do that, you won't see the username or the link to the original post, so you could just do what I usually do.

Which is...😁

which is cutting the "quote" from the end of the post and pasting it onto the end of the first section you want to comment on, then using the "highlight and quote" method for the rest.

I tried something similar, maybe it works.🤷

Where am I missing the mark? If you could provide some more specific guidance, I’d appreciate it.

My current process is a bit of a cumbersome workaround—I tend to hit Quote, copy the entire block, strip out the parts I don't need, write my response, then paste the whole thing back in just to prune it again, and repeat the cycle indefinitely.

Just practicing
I usually do this the hard way—using Quotam, copying the whole block, deleting what I don't need, replying, then pasting the whole thing again, trimming it down, replying, repeat...

Oh, I get it now. So you just tag the username of the person you're replying to, and then you quote specific chunks of their text? Cool strategy.

Just hit that Wrap Quote button for any posts you want to cite—except for the very last one—and then go ahead and click it like usual.

Just hit the Wrap Quote button on that last post you wanted. It’ll automatically pull all those posts in for you.

This all feels unnecessarily complicated to me.🙄I mean, I can quote someone else's

sure
post, highlight it, underline it, bold it—whatever you want—but I don't know how to reply to multiple posts at once.

right

Can someone please explain this to me? And I mean clearly and in detail, like you're explaining it to a toddler.

yeah
