Man, we really have some serious momentum here. It’s impressive how much ground we're gaining after a race like that. 👋

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Alonso grabs a podium spot by tomorrow! haha

And they'll probably nail Robert Kubica with a penalty too.😢

I don't think it'll happen—the investigation covered four different drivers, and they went ahead and released the findings on Jarno Trulli and Sebastian Vettel immediately.

Alright, let's all just take a breath here. It was only the first race of the season, so there’s plenty more excitement coming our way. I guess I have to ask, though—why isn't every single team utilizing KERS yet? I mean, where is Bernie now? He used to be all about pushing the teams to be more competitive with one another so we wouldn't see such massive gaps between the big spenders and the smaller outfits. From what I can gather, KERS seems to offer a massive advantage, especially when you're trying to claw back speed right after exiting a corner.

Kimi Raikkonen is easily the fastest man on this planet.

He's so quick he probably thinks he could drive straight through a brick wall.🙏

My take? He probably didn't keep those brakes at the right temperature during the safety car period, so they just... lost it on him.

Morgan Murphy7 said:Alonso on the Hybrid Drive System

To be honest, I didn't really notice much of an impact from the Hybrid Drive System, and I found myself feeling a tad let down by its overall performance

What a legend. What did he expect, a jet engine?

He did spend that one year alongside the very best—it was a short stint, certainly—but he walked away having learned quite a bit from the experience. 👍

It wasn't a brake issue at all, 😁

you could clearly see how composed he was; while everyone else was driving like they were in a frantic street race, he was just cruising perfectly straight.

He probably looked around wondering what kind of chaotic qualifying session everyone else was having while they were busy weaving through the turns like maniacs.😍

We'll just have to wait for the ruling on April 14th and see how it plays out.....☕

Wait, did you even watch the race? They all finished under the Safety Car. 😂

Honestly, what kind of nonsense is this? It’s actually getting a bit repulsive to see people tearing down Lewis Hamilton like this... I mean, his only "crime" is probably having more than two brain cells to rub together—he's clearly smart enough to avoid slamming into a wall or spinning out like some of those drunk drivers you see on the news

Up until yesterday, half the Ferrari fans were practically salivating at the thought of Lewis Hamilton jumping into an uncompetitive car just to see if he could finally shake things up. But today? Suddenly it's all about luck. Seriously, kudos to you guys and your incredibly flexible standards. He managed to drag a total junker of a car onto the podium, and if you have a problem with that, then honestly, just go deal with it yourselves

It’s not just one thing, it’s more like a whole collection of issues that, when you pile them all up, you end up with.......🤣🤣🤣

Look, man, Hamilton just drove his own race. It's much easier to swallow it as "just Hamilton being lucky" than to actually face the reality of the situation and admit: yeah, Ferrari messed up again, Kimi hit the wall yet again, Sebastian Vettel was an idiot, and so on and so forth... you can just fill in the blanks yourselves. 🤷

driftingbison4 said:I’m not some F1 "historian" who keeps track of every single crash, and I don't really root for anyone specific—I try to watch F1 with total objectivity. But what does stick with me are those insane driver moves that clearly come from desperation, rage, jealousy, stupidity, or just plain ignorance. Especially when one person's blunder ends up costing another driver or their entire team everything.
Now, Sebastian Vettel definitely isn't part of the "unskilled or untalented" crowd, but this isn't his first year in the game, and it certainly isn't his first slip-up like this. That's probably why he went on record saying he felt like an "... idiot and was so, so sorry." Most likely, his engineers were barking at him from the pit wall to stop fighting with Kubica because their tires were shot and he didn't stand a chance.
In fact, Brawn probably warned Button about 5 or 6 laps before the incident that his biggest threat was actually Kubica (who was about 10 seconds back at the time), rather than Vettel, who was hovering around 4 or 5 seconds away.

The thing is, some people just never learn that being a great driver means using your head, not just chugging "Red Bull." If Brawn were running his show, he wouldn't have let that happen. He could’ve learned a thing or two from Lewis Hamilton about how you win championships by knowing when to ease off a little, instead of charging ahead like a madman.

Vettel admitted he messed up badly. He should have let Kubica pass since he had no chance. He also should have secured points for his team by taking third. Instead, greed took over and he did what he did. There was a post-race press conference. You can find the video on the Formula 1 site. I watched it on ESPN. It was useless. Vettel screwed over both his boss and his pit crew.

There is a distinct possibility that Lewis Hamilton might actually pull off a win in this race👎

At the end of the day, the points are what matter. 🙏

Take Fernando Alonso—he finished fourth through no fault of his own.

He overtook twice during the race and got overtaken three times. 😁

But once Renault actually finds their rhythm around October 20th, man, everyone is going to be in for a massive wake-up call. 🙏
