Morgan Rodriguez57 said:I’ve honestly always gotten along great with all the mods—never really had any friction with them, except for that one weird situation involving MEP... 🙂

So yeah, just a little testament to my smooth sailing with the higher-ups... 😉 😁

But look, just look at the hypocrisy... You're out here handing out punishments to people in places like Ohio for crappy headlines or missing punctuation, yet a few years back, you were busy lecturing some poor professor just to get a ban. You were being incredibly cocky, spamming the exact same post over and over again—which, by the way, was getting wiped by a moderator at the time for reasons I can't even be bothered to remember now. But let me tell you something: I am 99.99% sure that wasn't because they hated you or anything like that. There was a damn good reason for it, okay? 🙂

Anyway... Off topic, but there's no such thing as the "best" or "worst" moderator. It’s just tiers. You've got the group that absolutely nails their job, then the group that does a pretty decent job, and so on, all the way down to the bottom tier—the group that doesn't do a single thing. 😁 But hey, good for them, right? They get all the perks and zero responsibilities. 🙂

It was my understanding that we had reached an agreement that discussions regarding privileges held in the "outside world" would be strictly off-limits.

Of course there was... it just goes without saying, really—kind of like how you always know there's going to be traffic on the I-95 during rush hour, isn't there? It was bound to happen eventually... 🙂

Ronald Allen said:Isn't just being a mod enough of a reason to be considered bad...? 🤔

Reason one: You banned me, but not him.
Reason two: You gave me more points than him—or maybe you just deleted his post.
Reason three: The Reddit admins have it out for me.
Reason four: My Nesquik is dark chocolate, while his has white chocolate mixed in.
Reason five: Your username is black, so I guess your moderator souls are pretty dark too... 🤣 🤣

This part is definitely my favorite. 😉

What an absolute disaster. Honestly, this guy shouldn't be allowed near a moderator position, not even for a tiny corner of a forum if one actually existed. 🙄

If we were strictly going by merit, he’d be Uncle Sam. That said, I really took a liking to him once I got to know him. He is definitely GnothiSeauton, along with John Palmer4 acting as his protector. Just Sandy is also part of that group. Honestly, I think that covers it—and it's probably more than enough.

There are plenty of bad ones out there. Give a person actual power and you'll see what they're really 😉
I’d bet anything that everyone acting all high and mighty with their moderator status is actually just a miserable loser in real life with zero depth. Can you even imagine how chaotic things would get if an Astrice were in charge? It would be like combining Bellwether and Cats into one giant mess. But hey, I don't really care if some little moderator or junior admin decides to take their real-world frustrations out on me. I'll just step away from the computer and go enjoy my day... while they're left with nothing to do but obsess over their count of warnings, bans, and the lectures they handed out on the forum today 😍

Why am I struggling to find any actual arguments explaining why someone makes a bad moderator? 🤔

It’s easy enough to just say, "XY is an idiot," but that doesn't actually prove anything.

I mean, are you just ignoring the banned list? Or are you actually blind?

How can Zg Sash be a moderator after that one post where they insulted every living soul and got slapped with a 45-point penalty? If I did that, I'd be hit with a 500-point penalty instantly. 😕 That basically means whoever is allowing this—the admins—are doing a lousy job.

And how is Bellwether even an admin when she hasn't even been registered for a full year? She doesn't know how this forum functions, she has never once made a constructive post, and she just makes up her own rules on the fly to suit her mood.

It was the exact same deal with Cats. That woman had a million posts in the MK chat thread, and not a single one of them was sane or helpful.

Trust me, the rest of the mods are just as bad. They only promote people because they've been hanging around a specific subreddit for a long time without major violations, rather than looking at whether they spend all their time in the chats saying absolutely nothing intelligent.🤷

I don't even know how to start this one without feeling like I'm spiraling... it's just heavy. There's a darkness creeping in lately that feels impossible to shake, a sense of total isolation that hits you right when you think you've finally found some footing. It’s like looking into an abyss and realizing the abyss isn't just looking back—it’s inviting you in. I've been sitting here, staring at the wall, wondering if anyone else feels this weight. It's not just a bad day or a rough patch; it feels like a fundamental shift in the atmosphere, like the air itself has turned toxic. Everything feels hollow. Every connection feels fragile, like a thin thread about to snap under too much pressure... If you're feeling this way, please, reach out. Don't sit in the dark alone. Call 988 or find someone who can actually listen before things get too far gone... there's still a reason to stay, even if it's hard to see right now. says:
How on earth does Bellwether have admin privileges? She’s been registered for less than a year... she doesn't even understand how this forum actually breathes. She hasn't ever put out a single constructive post, yet here she is, playing judge and jury by making up her own rules on the fly...

This is easily one of my favorite "arguments"... 🤣

Yeah, for sure, Bellwether signed up and on that very same day, Anderlon told her, "You’re gonna be my right hand around here..." 🧐How could I not?... 😁

I don't even know where to start with this... it’s just heavy. It's one of those things that hits you out of nowhere and stays with you. I've been sitting here trying to wrap my head around it, but some things just don't have easy answers, do they? It's dark, it's messy, and honestly, it's just plain hard to talk about without feeling like everything is falling apart... The user says:
Trust me, that’s how all the moderators work. They only hand out those titles because you’ve been lurking on some PDF for a long time without racking up any major violations. They don't actually bother looking at the fact that you're constantly hanging around the chats without ever contributing a single intelligent thought... 🤷

Look, there’s a difference between hanging out in the Chat threads and actually getting down to business in the serious ones. If I had ten thousand casual posts—which, let’s be honest, I don't—I’d still have five thousand heavy-hitting, constructive ones sitting right here. I could drop hundreds of links for you if you're really that desperate to see them, but I highly doubt you actually care...
Look, I actually wrote most of those posts in the Chat myself—it just so happened that I was already stepping into the role of Moderator by then—so that little "argument" you're trying to make doesn't even hold water... 🙂

Man, there’s no way around it—she definitely had to pass some kind of special screening first. ☕ He’s going to end up with her. 😉

Look, there’s a clear divide here: we keep things light in the Chat threads, but when it comes to the serious topics, we actually get down to business. Even if I had 10,000 casual posts in the Chat—which, let's be honest, I don't—I’d still have 5,000 solid, constructive deep dives under my belt. If you really want me to drop a hundred links to them, I can, but I highly doubt you actually care.
Look, I actually wrote most of those Chat posts myself—purely by coincidence after I stepped up as a Moderator—so that whole "argument" you're making doesn't even hold water. 🙂

I've been watching how you write. Believe me, you are one of a kind. 😉

Whether it’s an exception or not, I find it hilarious when someone with a mere 63 posts that aren't even in the Off Topic or general chat tries to lecture anyone—including a Moderator, for that matter—about talking too much. 😁
And don't even get me started on how you’ve managed over 300 posts in just 19 days... that's over 15.79 posts a day, which still puts you ahead of my 14.68. 😉
I think I've made my point, so I'm stepping away from this before it drifts too far into Off topic territory. 🙂
If you can't come up with a better argument than "the moderators are jerks who have no lives," I doubt anyone is going to take you seriously... 🙂

I think the only real difference between us is that I’m not a Moderator, while you are. So, basically, you’re just arguing with yourself. 😉

Look, having a Chat where people can predict topics doesn't hurt anyone or offend anyone. If anything, it actually helps build a sense of community between the regular users and the moderators. Or what, should we all act like untouchable robots who never joke around or actually talk to the community? 😁 Yeah, right. As if.
That's why I'm telling you one more time: the idea that "moderators are chatting" isn't a valid argument against them, under any circumstances. At the end of the day, every moderator is just a regular user first and foremost. 🙂

There’s a huge difference between occasional chatting and just being a chatterbox.

I don't see where I ever made that claim. 😕 My point was simply that the moderators spend most of their time chatting rather than contributing anything meaningful to the actual threads. If someone only posts about football in the Chat, how can they be expected to moderate an entire subreddit? Since the Chat on every subreddit is basically the same thing, by that logic, that guy would be qualified to moderate every single subreddit on the internet, right?

I would have signed it myself, but you already handled that. 😁

As for everything else—blah, blah, blah... it’s always the same old song and dance.

And honestly, my five years of experience on this forum tells me one thing: those very same users who scream at the top of their lungs that the mods are the embodiment of Evil are the first ones praying to be appointed as moderators. They clearly heard about the perks and benefits. 😁

What kind of drive—not to mention having way too much free time—does someone need to have to spend all their energy contemplating which moderator is the absolute worst? 😕 If you're a decent user, we shouldn't even notice you exist. But if you whine, spam, or troll? Well, then of course we’re going to be in constant contact.

No one can accuse me of having a short fuse and a sharp tongue—so how is it possible that in these five years, I haven't received a single warning or a ban? 🤷 Apparently, "moderator Evil" doesn't apply to everyone... or maybe it's just a matter of having basic self-control over what you write. Go figure. ☕

I don't know about you all, but I’ve been sitting here thinking about the whole concept of suicide... It’s a heavy one, isn't it? A dark, heavy weight that just hangs over everything if you let it. Sometimes life feels like it's hitting you from every angle at once, and you just want to pull the plug on the whole damn thing... It's a grim thought, but it's a real one. We need to be careful how we talk about this, because it matters... more than people realize. says:

I’m calling you out again... give me some actual examples of moderators who do nothing but sit around and chat all day.

Another thing... Some Moderators have made a conscious choice to stay out of the actual debates just so nobody can throw accusations of bias at them. They’re lurking, reading everything, but they won't jump into those threads or pick a side. Is that really just as bad in your eyes? Or am I missing something here...

Look, let’s be real here—anyone who actually makes the cut as a Moderator was someone who spent a massive amount of time dropping constructive, high-quality posts on that specific subforum long before they ever got the badge...
