We already know weโ€™re the best. We don't need some Spaniard or some Euro gang telling us how it is.

It wasn't actually a foul in the traditional sense, but rather because they stepped over the line during the jump ๐Ÿ˜

Jeremy Phillips54 said:Man, you've gotta be kidding me. Are we seriously saying the problem is only that they made those calls at the most critical moments?

Since we're basically a powerhouse in the NBA, why the hell don't we have any kind of officiating protection? It's not that people should be coddled, but our guys look like they've been through three different wars because of this.

And then there were those two greasy fast-break goals they let slideโ€”calls that wouldn't even pass muster in the minor leaguesโ€”right when things were already going south.

The war started right from that first ejection. I think it was Spoljaric? It wasn't even close to being his fault; Dominikovic caught him in the face while he was trying to move away, and he ended up getting punished for nothing.

The Americans wouldn't have won this without the refs, regardless of the fact that they might actually be better right now. They basically froze up ten minutes before the end and could only score on fast breaks. If we had been within two goals of them, we would have completely blown the doors off.

They were shaking in their boots.

And despite all the officiating garbage, we almost had them; they were saved twice by the posts and a goalkeeper who actually has a face.

Real officials who want to cheat are subtle about it. These guys were just butchering the game. Our suspensions were laughable. And then there was that call on Vori right when we finally had the man advantage. First, they call a non-existent offensive foul when he picks up the ball on the line, then they suspend him because apparently the ball ๐Ÿคฎslipped onto his foot while he was dropping it. Usually, you call that to stop a clear fast break, but this time the play and the argument lasted twenty secondsโ€”there was zero chance for a counterattack.

There were at least a dozen catastrophic errors stacked against us.

I'll say it again: we weren't playing great. Our team looked exhausted and spent, but the officiating was criminal. We managed to drag those amateurs across the finish line even though they looked lost in the final fifteen minutes. If you asked half the people in the stands where they were or what sport they were even playing, they wouldn't have known.

Serse, thatโ€™s exactly the miracle here. We fought our way all the way to the finals without a top-tier goalie, without Dลพomba or Zrniฤ‡, playing with a half-dead Ivan and basically half the national roster... and you're still sitting there complaining? ๐Ÿ˜

Good grief, they really are making things difficult, aren't they? But honestly, let's just push throughโ€”let's aim for -2!!! Forget about that -4, that's just too much!

Two goals wiped off the board, six minutes in the penalty box for absolutely no reason... red card for the guys in red... the keepers aren't saving a damn thing... players are playing through injuries... we ended up losing by four, despite hanging in there the whole game. Still, we're sitting at second in the tournament.

Honestly, everything turned out quite wonderful in the end... We could have easily faced a bitter loss against the French if the officiating had been this blatantly biased against us. Looking at our actual performance on the court, we truly belong among the top two teams in the world, so I believe we should be genuinely satisfied with what we achieved. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘‹

Major props to Lina for that one๐Ÿ™
And now look at you guys, whining about every little thing, two minutes here and two minutes there.
At this rate, we might as well throw him a parade and build him a freaking monument
