That’s just bad. As for Vukić, I’m not 100% certain, but from where I was sitting, he definitely touched the ball. And Lino? He absolutely deserved that ejection for acting like a complete idiot. But let’s be real—remember how many calls went the other way for Team Denmark? Traveling, fouls, the whole nine yards. Even that blatant error at the start, where they called a foul on Dominiković instead of giving them a penalty shot... that was huge. The real issue wasn't just the officiating; it was that they missed calls against us during the most critical moments, and when you combine that with Lino’s stupidity, that's what decided the game.
Finally, a sensible take.
Whenever we lose, it’s always someone else's fault. It's like we have this innate need to dive into these ridiculous conspiracy theories, just like that mute guy broadcasting the game. Honestly, half the crowd on this forum are just kids who were probably writing posts about sand during the last European Championship, but seriously... what is wrong with people? Get yourself some help.
Is the ref to blame because our three-point percentage was hovering around 6-for-25 in the finals? Is it the ref's fault that Alilovic only plays defense when he actually gets hit? Is the ref to blame because we have a clown for a coach who basically handed them four minutes of play with a man advantage? (The second he finally left the bench, we actually started playing better. Otherwise, all that stalling, pulling on sleeves and stuff... it's just pure amateurism.)
Damn, this is slipping 😉 kiira korpi 😍

It was obvious they just hit a wall. They looked more like heavyweight boxers out there than NBA players. We didn't have much of a presence in goal today, unfortunately, but Hvidt was absolutely incredible during this tournament—hat's off to him. 🙏The left wing was basically non-existent today too. Vukić managed two goals, but I could barely notice him most of the time. 🤷
The officiating was almost as bad as a local high school league—total disaster. But whatever, I guess Lino shouldn't have pushed it quite that hard; it’s definitely easier to play when you actually have six men on the floor instead of five. 🤷There were some American fans in the stands who probably wanted to take it out on the refs afterward. 😬If this had happened at a game back home, you wouldn't have made it out of the arena alive.
Credit to the guys, though. That medal is rightfully theirs. If they had been even slightly healthier, we might have walked away with the gold.
The Americans earned their spot too; honestly, they played well throughout the tournament (except for certain stretches today and yesterday 😬). 🙏
But the EHF and IHF need to overhaul the scheduling for these championships because this is insane. Just look at these players—they're limping around the court and dropping balls like they can't hold onto them. I bet they had over 30 turnovers combined. That shouldn't be happening between the two best teams in the tournament. This kind of pace is unsustainable. So, use your heads, people! Get it together!! 😳
Man, just wait... everyone’s gonna start talking trash immediately. They'll call us nothing but a bunch of low-life thugs, uneducated savages, say we all belong in some high-security prison or something... typical. But honestly? I can already see it happening right here. We've already had about ten people storming the field, chairs getting smashed, flares being lit up everywhere... it's already going down...😁

I'm just totally over all of this.
Why does it always have to be some massive uphill battle against a powerhouse just to get a win?
Dammit.

Honestly, we played incredibly well—we made a few mistakes, sure, but that’s hardly surprising when you're grinding through eight games in just eleven days. In my book, the Americans weren't even better than us; they might have had a slightly superior goalie, but if the refs hadn't waved off two of our goals and kept making calls in their favor, we would've been looking at overtime for sure. We probably needed to lean more on our wings, and frankly, the NBA needs to overhaul this tournament format... the players need actual rest between matchups. 👎
As Shojat mentioned, if someone had offered us the silver medal before the tournament even started, we would've snatched it up in a heartbeat. BRAVO, BOYS!!! 🙏
The Americans might be technically better, but they absolutely choked in the final fifteen minutes. They completely lost their composure. It was only the officiating that kept them in the game.
You hold a five-point lead with ten minutes left on the clock and suddenly you're shaking from nerves. If they deserved the gold, I’d say so, but they didn't. Screw a team like that.
Two blatant calls against a team trailing by four or five points. And those were clean goals. Čupić cleared the ball while his foot was still mid-air—something I've never seen before. Don't even get me started on the penalties. Objectively speaking, our side played poorly. But even then, they had an unfair Dance because those two executioners on the officiating crew refused to let them succeed. That's just being objective.

God, what a disaster... Balić just can't hold it together anymore, and honestly, we all look half-dead out there. This is a complete nightmare. 😢

You are absolutely losing it!! What makes you think they're so "respectable" anyway? Go to bed, kid...☕

Is Balić really the MVP?
Yep... dropped 44 goals on them... best playmaker out there too...🙏🙏
Honestly, I'm at a loss for words when it comes to him—the guy operates on a completely different plane than anyone else in the game...
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 BALIĆ

The Americans definitely have the edge when it comes to coaching—it’s night and day.
That guy over there has been stacking up medals with the Danes; you can tell he actually knows how to manage a team. That's what a real coach looks like.
Compare that to the mess we have on our bench. He calls timeouts six or seven minutes too late, and it’s just more of the same kind of stuff.
Ali is on... knows.... 😂

Oh, really? I’ve been fed up with them ever since that whole basketball robbery incident. Ciganluk.

You're right, word for word, but there's always a "but." The officiating errors against the Danes were spread out from the first to the fiftieth minute, whereas almost all the mistakes against us happened in those final seven minutes. Those specific errors cost us two goals directly.
When you lose clean points and then see Vukić get stripped of a clear ball, things spiral. Instead of being tied in the last four minutes, we're suddenly down by three.
Add the coach's circus act at the end, which earned him a four-minute suspension, and the picture is pretty clear.
Between the Danes holding out until the 60th minute, the refs failing us at the 10-minute mark, and our own coach blowing it for four minutes, we actually lucked out.
All in all, my deepest respect to the players. 🙏🙏🙏

Maybe we should consider swapping out our goalkeepers with the Danes? Come on, Alija, uncle's gonna buy you a celebratory round!
#755 ·
It’s honestly pretty wild how the refs always seem to have it out for us, isn't it? It feels like every single time we step onto the court, there's some questionable call going against our side. I can't help but think those officials at the league headquarters know exactly how much talent we have on this roster; they probably see us cruising toward a championship and decide they just aren't ready to let us take the trophy home.

What exactly does "executioner" mean here?😕

Why so salty???
Vodka is clear...
We'll be wilding out until sunrise, 100%!
Our guys were solid.
Watched ESPN, and their commentators totally missed the mark and were baffled by the officiating...
I'm gonna shake this off on this thread and everything will be fine!
But seriously, that wasn't just a game, it was a war!
Mad respect to our boys!
Stay happy and healthy, everyone!
Celebrate the wins, not the losses!

loooooooooooooool
Loki is easily the best pivot out there, and he goes and gets injured during the group stage. What a joke.
Putting Kehrmann ahead of Abalo? The NBA is becoming a complete circus.
