I don't mean smoking several times a day, just maybe once a week?
Or is that unhealthy?

Then again, what's even healthy these days? We're all just living for the moment...

Honestly, what's the harm? If people want to smoke, at least they're choosing something natural over synthetic chemicals.🙂

Man, you guys are the only ones smoking because there’s nothing better than homegrown weed, so that’s why I grow my own stuff myself, lol

Bryan Jones82 said:As usual, this thread is filled with total nonsense regarding marijuana. Look, I used to smoke back in the day too.
Nobody is going to drop dead just from lighting up a joint, but let’s not kid ourselves—marijuana isn't harmless.
It’s not like everyone who smokes ends up turning to heroin, but let’s be real: the chances are definitely higher than for someone who has never touched the stuff.
When it comes to mental health, I’ve personally seen plenty of cases—mostly paranoia and various types of anxiety—that were triggered by weed. Sure, there was likely an underlying predisposition, but the marijuana was the catalyst.
If someone chooses to smoke, that's their business. But if someone is smoking every single day? In my book, that puts them in the same category as someone who hits the bottle every night.👎

That’s exactly the point, though... people always claim marijuana is just a gateway to the needle, but honestly, it all comes down to the individual. It’s about character—whether a person becomes an addict or not. Everyone needs to know where to draw the line.

Everything else is fine, I guess, but I can't really get behind that one part. If you just puff on a joint once a night to wind down—you know, just to chill—it’s basically the same as having a beer. But if you're getting absolutely trashed on drugs every single day? Well, then you're basically just an alcoholic, I suppose.👍

It all comes back to moderation, obviously. Having one smoke a day isn't gonna wreck anyone, but if you're totally wasted every day, you eventually just lose touch with reality...😉

or is that not healthy either?

then again, what exactly counts as "healthy" these days? we're all just living hand-to-mouth from one day to the next...

So you want to flirt with death, smoke a little weed, dabble in this and that... how can you even claim you want to end it all if you haven't even touched a joint?

Regarding your question... look, I've been smoking weed every single day since I was 17... I'm 24 now... and honestly, it isn't great. Doing it occasionally might be fine, but if you find a crew to hang with, that "occasionally" quickly turns into a daily habit. After that, you'll just be sitting at home high like I am, and after that—well, I don't even know myself. Anyway... once you start with weed, you'll probably try all those other easier nonsense things—Ecstasy, MDMA, speed, pills, mushrooms, etc. There’s a very thin line between weed and things like cocaine or meth... especially if you've got the cash to burn. But that's beside the point... after a year, two, or three years of just smoking weed, you'll already be starting to feel a bit foggy. So, my advice? Don't do it. Even I plan on quitting, and then maybe we can grab a beer sometime...

Look, I’m not saying that if you start smoking joints you’re definitely going to end up using a needle—that’s probably an exaggeration—but you should be absolutely certain that you'll eventually want to try all these easier stimulants...

I've been smoking for 15 years and I plan on keeping at it. 😁

If marijuana is legal, wouldn't weed be too? So many people are out there smoking, it's honestly a shame that dispensaries get all the perks...

I mean, we really ought to start some kind of petition to scrap these restrictive laws altogether... either everything gets legalized, or nothing does at all...

I haven't tried it, and I certainly won't be starting now.
At least, not in that particular fashion.

Perhaps one day I’ll bake some cookies... people say you need to smoke up or feast on treats, summon the Wizard of Oz, turn down the volume, and let Pink Floyd play.
If nothing else, I suppose I really ought to experience that at least once.

Besides, it isn't going to kill off any more of my neurons than a single vodka would.

I’ve never touched weed, coffee, or cigarettes—but I did end things with my ex-fiancé because of his marijuana use.
To be honest, that’s pretty much why I’m a single mom today.

He just... started getting duller and more checked out over time.

I never have and I never will. I don't buy into those stories about how you can't get hooked or how it's somehow healthy, because I have a friend who started out just smoking a little bit with her group at her grandma's place once a week, and before she knew it, she was doing it multiple times a day. It didn't even stop there, since the marijuana eventually lost its appeal for her, so she ended up moving on to things like ecstasy and other stuff.
If that's someone's way, then more power to them. Personally, I think spending $83 every month on cigarettes—which I've already managed to get addicted to—is plenty of stupidity for me, let alone getting into something like marijuana that isn't even remotely harmless.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. But personally, I think spending $83 a month on cigarettes—which I've already gotten myself hooked on, damn it—is plenty of stupidity for me, let alone messing with something like marijuana that isn't even remotely harmless.

Well, then you might as well swap the cigarettes for weed so you can smoke $83 less often but with much better quality. 😬 🙄

Look, I smoke weed here and there... but I've never tried cigarettes and I never will because... there is absolutely nothing good about them.

Good grief... $83 a month on cigarettes?

If I actually had that much cash to burn... look, I spend maybe up to $67 a month just on my high-speed Internet... 😁

On a side note, I came across some data suggesting the top five addictions rank like this:
  1. Alcohol—you never truly get over it; you're essentially managing a lifelong recovery process.
  2. Nicotine—you can consider yourself "cured" after about 10 years of sobriety.
  3. Heroin—you might be considered recovered after 5 years clean.
  4. Cocaine—you could be considered clear after 2 years.
  5. Caffeine.

I know exactly one person who was seriously addicted to weed, and even he only smoked two or three joints a day, which is honestly far more than most people touch in an entire week.
Back in my high school class, there were maybe only five of us who didn't smoke marijuana; if I recall correctly, more kids were using weed than cigarettes.

Besides, if I have the willpower to stop after just one square of chocolate or a handful of peanuts, I don't see how one round of cookies is going to kill me. 😉
