How do I upload images and videos to the forum?

Exactly. You selected the resize option during the upload process. Just upload the original image without resizing it, then once it's finished, select the thumbnail instead.

My logic was totally flawed though... I honestly thought I could pull off a two-for-one deal. Turns out it was just the classic same old story. 🙂

On page http://www.gfxartist.com/about/FAQ/14849/, I stumbled upon some code for resizing images, so now I'm wondering—is there any actual chance this would even work on a forum like this?

Honestly, if this worked here on the US forums, the mods wouldn't have such a massive headache constantly cleaning up and organizing posts with messy image sizes. 🙂

No chance...

There’s actually a way to cap image sizes too. Even if you upload something massive like 10k x 10k, it just scales it down to whatever it wants. But I have a feeling we won't see any real fixes anytime soon...

What a waste, but hey, maybe it’ll actually work one day.
I saw some people talking about video tags on some foreign forums, but honestly, I’m not even going to bother thinking about that if we can't even get this image thing working anytime soon.

When you open a sub-forum or any specific post, if you look all the way at the bottom under the rule of establishment, it's right there. It states whether the IMG setting is on / OFF. Basically, images are allowed under the main policy, but they aren't permitted on the edge of the policy.

I'm trying to use (IMG)IMAGE(IMG) on a thread about historical maps—since I spend a ton of time working on History stuff—but it's not working. All I can get to show up is the link, not the actual image itself.
