Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Watched it tonight. It was excellent😁

After reading all this, I've gotta go hit the movie theater myself!👍

Anyway, this is easily the best Harry Potter film so far—I might even give it another watch later. It was a really pleasant surprise, even though my expectations weren't particularly high...

I liked how the plot started leaning more into that teenage vibe (the formal dance and all the staring at crushes)... 🙂

The ending didn't quite land for me, and I'm not a huge fan of leaving things unresolved, especially since the previous movies didn't really do that, but it's fine. The main thing is that the 150-minute runtime doesn't feel long at all...

I’ve been sitting here staring at the screen, trying to figure out what to actually say about this movie, but honestly, I just can't bring myself to do it.

But fine, here's my two cents, even if it's brief...

It’s basically pure eye candy designed for kids. It’s absolutely loaded with special effects, but once you look past that, the story and the characters feel totally hollow. I guess it's fine if you just want to kill two and a half hours and turn your brain off completely.👍

In my opinion, the third installment was definitely the best one so far.

That Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie was actually pretty good. I really liked it (especially the guy who played Cedric Diggory... his death totally broke me)😢

Honestly, all the actors seem way better this year. Harry looks more grown up 🙂 , and Malfoy—I wish they showed him more!!!

And I have to say, the dance scene was pure drama—that ballroom looked incredible... just perfection!

Anyway, I guess I'm getting off track. The movie is solid, though I feel like if you haven't read the book, some parts might be confusing. I get that they can't include everything from the novel, but half the stuff isn't explained, they just throw you right into the action... Not that I mind, since I already read it, so it wasn't an issue for me... Just wish I could've seen Cedric in that bathroom scene 🙂

Yeah, I watched it too... Honestly, I loved the movie, even if they stripped away so much from the book, which kind of sucks. But hey, you can't really cram 500 pages into two and a half hours without losing stuff somewhere.😳 I felt like I would’ve been totally lost in the plot if I hadn't read the book first, but it worked out okay.

All in all, the movie is solid. Visually? Stunning. To be honest, I actually found it better and way more fast-paced than the third installment.

Now I’m just sitting here wondering who on earth they’re going to cast for the next one, since there’s a whole mountain of new characters introduced.🙂

Oh, and one more thing—when I was reading the book, I definitely pictured Cedric Diggory being a lot hotter ☕... nothing compared to Oliver Wood, though.😍

I expected this movie to be garbage—but even by those low standards, it failed miserably.
It’s like that sensation when you chew a single bite of food for too long until it becomes nauseating; that is essentially the viewing experience here. To make matters worse—the "cherry on top," if you will—it drags on for nearly three hours.
I rarely use tacky emojis, but this one is earned.

Personally, that thin character development and the lackluster acting bother me a bit, but it doesn't drive me crazy. It's one of those things that bugs me for a second, then I immediately forget about it the moment the first magic spell hits the screen. 😍

When it comes to seeing fantasy movies in a theater, my expectations are honestly pretty low, so I rarely end up disappointed. Because of that, this actually landed quite well for me. 🙂

And of course, there's Alan Rickman again. 👍

And seriously guys, take it easy with the spoilers. If I had walked into the theater knowing exactly who was going to die and all that, I would have lost my mind. If I were a moderator, I’d be wiping all of this out. 😈

I found the opening to be a bit silly, honestly, but looking at the movie as a whole, I actually thought it was quite good... though, I suppose I can't claim to be entirely objective since I'm such a huge fan of Harry Potter. But hey, what can you do? I guess I'm still just a kid at heart somewhere inside.🙂
