Saw II

Honestly, the ending felt pretty weak to me😢

The movie itself holds up, but there was way too much shaky cam for my taste👎

It’s not bad, per se—but I feel like they should have wrapped things up after the first act, or maybe taken the story in a completely different direction altogether

Personally, I found the film to be absolutely superb. If you take a moment to dig through the details on the IMDb user rating, you can actually find a breakdown regarding the plot for the third installment! 🙂 It is going to be absolute madness... 🙂)

Even the big twist at the end failed to land this time, though to be fair, I wasn't exactly blown away by the twist in the first Saw film either

I watched Saw II the other day, and while it doesn't quite hit the heights of the original, it definitely has its moments. There is significantly more gore and violence than in the first film, but since we’re dealing with a larger group of people trapped in a house making some incredibly stupid decisions, that sense of genuine dread is missing. Instead, the violence just feels "cool," much like those big-budget slashers you'd see in the 90s.

Another issue lies with the direction. They seem to rely even more heavily on rapid cuts than they did in the first installment. One particular sequence was actually building up quite a bit of tension—specifically the hallway chase toward the end—only to have these frantic flashback cuts interrupt the flow and completely ruin the scene.

Oh, and I will say, the ending is slightly more logical than what we got in the first movie.

Watched it last night.
Tons of blood, screaming, and pure panic, but honestly? It was a total letdown. Calling it "garbage" might be an overstatement—it’s not *that* bad—but compared to the original, it doesn't even come close.

It’s definitely a step down from the first one, but honestly? Still worth a watch.. It feels like they shot this thing in a heartbeat—maybe just a month?—and you can totally tell.. It lacks that polished finish, which usually leads to a total disaster..
The cop's role makes zero sense, and don't even get me started on that whole crowd inside the house...
All in all, I'd give it a 4/5...

Honestly, it didn't really hit the same way the first one did, which was a total masterpiece.
That beefy guy who started tearing through everyone like a freight train just felt completely out of left field for me.
And then that whole police reaction... MAN... LIKE, YEAH... JUST GO RIGHT WHERE THE SERIAL KILLER SENDS YOU AND LET HIM HAND YOU THE KEY TO CELEBRATE NEW YEAR'S...
It all basically boiled down to some cheap wordplay. If there had been anyone with half a brain in that room, they would've realized the kid was hiding out in the SEF (like a safe zone or some riddle nonsense)...

I haven't even seen the first one, but this isn't doing much for me either—pretty lackluster, if I'm being honest.

Overall, it's just weak.

I’ve already seen this one, and honestly, it’s just as awesome as the first movie.

From what I heard, it was supposed to hit theaters around January 16th...
And yet, I still haven't seen it anywhere.
