rapidheron2 said:swiftscout21, any news? You've been totally MIA! 🤷 Did you actually take my advice and head to the doctor? Was everything exactly like I suspected? 😕 Did they admit you right away for surgery, or did they schedule you for a few days out? Look, if you haven't seen a professional yet, please just go—I don't want to freak you out, I really don't, but a perianal abscess can turn into a massive problem if it isn't handled quickly! Honestly, surgery is usually the only way out; those ointments just aren't going to cut it here. Fingers crossed everything turns out fine! 👍 And please, let us know how it goes!

Hey, I'm checking in—sorry I haven't been on the forum, life has just been crazy busy lately. I haven't made it to the doctor yet, though maybe now that I've read this, I should. Things actually improved after using that ointment we talked about, and the main symptoms seemed to clear up. However, I'm dealing with some bleeding again after a particularly tough bowel movement, which I think might be those old internal hemorrhoids acting up. I'll probably end up heading to a clinic in Chicago for a colonoscopy soon. Also, for about ten days now, I've had this itching sensation, but this time it’s all over my body (NOT just around the anal area). I'm honestly not sure if it's a reaction to the cream or if I'm dealing with an allergy or something else entirely.

Hi there
I'm new to this group...
So, here’s what I’ve been dealing with: there's a spot just above my anus, maybe about a centimeter or so, and about two weeks ago I noticed this tiny little dimple, maybe 2mm wide... and right above that, toward my lower back, there's this slight thickening, almost like a little swelling area. When I'm using the bathroom, I get some minor bleeding, probably just because the toilet paper irritates it... but then yesterday, I actually squeezed that little hole and some pus came out...
I don't really think it's hemorrhoids, but honestly, I'm pretty worried it might be a perianal abscess...
What do you guys think?
Thanks so much

Oh man, that sounds like a TOTAL abscess for sure, or maybe a pilonidal sinus—and honestly, it looks like you've already developed a fistula too! 👎 The only silver lining is that the pus started coming out on its own, so you basically got some spontaneous drainage, which I'm guessing gave you at least a little bit of relief. But seriously, get to a doctor ASAP—like, a surgeon. That usually needs to be handled right away with an incision under general anesthesia... So please, let us know how it goes! Fingers crossed for you! 👍

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice here... I've been scrolling through the first ten pages of this thread and—wow—I’m seeing a lot of similarities between what you guys are dealing with and my own situation. About six months ago, I started noticing that something just wasn't right down there. After I use the bathroom, I get this slight stinging sensation, and occasionally I'll see a tiny bit of blood on the toilet paper. The main difference between my issue and what some of you mentioned is that I sometimes notice a strange odor coming from my anus if I'm sitting for a long time or... well, I don't really know how to describe the smell. Sometimes it's more noticeable, sometimes less so—thank God it isn't happening constantly, just every now and then. I shower every single day and I am extremely diligent about hygiene (I am REALLY big on staying clean), so we can definitely rule that out as the cause. I'm feeling pretty confused and honestly just lost on what to do next... so I was wondering if this could be related to hemorrhoids—maybe internal ones, who knows? Does anyone know what kind of issues cause this or what my next steps should be? Thanks!

I’m genuinely wondering if anyone will be brave enough to actually reply to you, unless they're a medical specialist. Everything boils down to asking more questions that really require seeing a pro BEFORE things turn into serious consequences! Look, if we're talking about hemorrhoids—just a little stinging, some discomfort, or a dull ache—that’s not life-threatening and we can chat about it here. But when you start mentioning blood, pus, or odors? That’s way beyond the scope of these forums. You need to grit your teeth and go get an exam immediately! At the end of the day, we're talking about your body!

After reading all those glowing reviews, I finally decided to give Pfizer a shot.
Could someone please chime in if you’ve had a totally negative experience with it? I'm not just talking about seeing zero improvement after seven days—I feel like things might actually be worse than before!! On the flip side, if anyone has had a positive experience, could you tell me: should I really be feeling a noticeable difference after a week? What kind of change am I looking for?
The packaging looks legit, but I can't help but wonder if these tablets are basically just compressed flour... I'll stick with it for another seven days, and if nothing changes, I’ll be sure to send a very "thankful" note to the importer! It's not exactly $200 pocket change, either...

I’m also stuck in that unlucky group with genetic factors, dealing with this whole hemorrhoid nightmare.
About ten years ago, I had laser surgery to get rid of them and treated a fissure that popped up at the same time. Honestly, it was great—it actually worked until they decided to show up again recently. Now, after every single bathroom trip, it’s nothing but pain and burning, and I’m bleeding more often than not. I tried calling a few proctologists, but man, what a disaster. The exams and the prices are just insane. For instance, Dr. Misir, who did my laser procedure way back when, has such a great setup; his exam chair is more like an elevated gynecological chair where you just lie down, unlike those other places where you have to awkwardly hump the chair or lie on your side. Plus, Dr. Misir uses lasers instead of that old-school ligation stuff. The results are so much better—way more comfortable, less pain, it dries out the hemorrhoids and tightens the veins immediately so there's zero bleeding. As you can see, I made it ten years totally fine, even while eating junk, but I’ve gone and trashed myself again. I’d go back to Dr. Misir in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, his prices have skyrocketed. Now, every single hemorrhoid costs up to $1667 and a fissure goes up to $2667. I nearly fell on my butt in shock! It used to be like $100 back then, ugh.
So now what? I call Dr. Phil or Dr. Smith, and oh my god, they are straight-up butchers. They do ligation where you bleed everywhere, they shove their fingers inside you, and it hurts like hell. Honestly, I’d love to punch one of them right in the junk! And the exam? One time you're forced to hump the chair, the next you're on your side. The price for those procedures is "cheaper," maybe $1500-$833, but still. And some people don't even treat fissures, or you end up in a hospital under total anesthesia, like what happens over at the Bates clinic. Absolute nightmare.
I also bought those Pfizer tablets. I finished two boxes and now I'm taking a three-month break. That's what Dr. Landon, the Pfizer advisor, suggested. But honestly, even with those, it still hurts after every bowel movement, especially if I have to go again. I feel like things are a bit more resilient, but it's definitely not perfect. I try to watch what I eat, but if I slip up even once, it's game over. My backside has become a total disaster zone. I don't even know what to do anymore. I don't have the cash for Dr. Misir, and I definitely don't have the guts or the energy to deal with those butchers. So yeah, that's my experience. I'm just waiting it out and seeing what happens.🤷

Could you please ask Amanda Vaughn2 to send me some info, like an address or a phone number, so I can get in touch with Dr. Misir as soon as possible? Thanks in advance!

Thought I’d jump in and share my own experience here. I was dealing with all the usual misery—hemorrhoids, bleeding, stinging, constant pain... the whole deal. Tried a bunch of different ointments, but honestly? Nothing worked. Eventually, someone told me the secret is just softening things up. They suggested ground flaxseeds mixed into some yogurt, and man, it actually works. Everything is way smoother now, even if the volume is a bit higher. Seriously, just Google "flaxseed benefits"—it's basically a miracle seed. I do two spoonfuls with yogurt once a day. But here’s the kicker. Even with the seeds, I’d still see blood on the toilet paper every single time I wiped. Then I stumbled onto this forum post that sounded totally crazy at first. This guy swore that toilet paper is actually what triggers the hemorrhoids most, so he ditched it entirely and hasn't had a single issue since. At first, I thought, "No way, that sounds super gross," and the idea of having to clean myself with my hands felt pretty weird. But hey, I figured I had nothing to lose. When you're in pain, you'll try anything. I’ve been doing this for over a month now, and I’m telling you, it’s a game changer. No more issues at all. Most of you have probably noticed that little bit of blood on the paper after wiping too. Anyway, that's my two cents. Give the flaxseeds a shot and try ditching the paper to see if it helps you out. Good luck, everyone! Let me know if it works for you!

I haven't personally tried 😛, though I’ve often wondered if switching from dry toilet paper to those moistened wipes might be a more comfortable approach.
What really puzzles me, however, is the conflicting advice floating around; everyone seems to insist that you should avoid using warm water because it supposedly dilates the blood vessels and worsens hemorrhoids, yet I have read countless times that sitting on a cold seat is just as detrimental to the condition. It leaves me feeling a bit lost, trying to discern which of these warnings are actually grounded in fact and which are simply myths. 😉

So now I'm stuck wondering—which one of this is actually true, and which is just some myth? 😉

Look, if there’s active bleeding, it’s strictly cold water—though, let's be real, you aren't going to sit there for ten minutes just to cool things down... I mean, are you lucky enough to see the bleeding stop after a few minutes? If there isn't any bleeding, then warm water is definitely more comfortable, and again, you aren't spending ten minutes washing anyway... The real issue is the sitting. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but here it is again: hard surfaces are enemy number one, and honestly, even some of those faux leather seats aren't much better!

First off—personal experience. That’s how I ended up dealing with it myself... though, okay, maybe there was a bit of genetics involved too. The real culprit is sitting for hours at a time, which, let's face it, is pretty much everyone's life nowadays.
Second thing to consider: think about the surface you're sitting on. If it's non-breathable, you end up sweating—and then when you finally stand up, everything underneath is just damp. It's not great.
My own takeaway? Always go for a cushion that actually "breathes." But honestly? Just get away from those cheap faux-leather seats!

I mean, if you're looking for a little extra help, maybe you could try some tea made from Suban - Hemorosan, I guess.

Listen, folks... don't mess around when it comes to hemorrhoids. I dealt with internal ones for years—they were bleeding constantly, or at least most of the time. I was too stubborn to see a specialist. I tried everything: different ointments, herbal teas, changing my diet... but nothing worked. Nothing. I just spent years suffering, hoping things would eventually turn around on their own. My primary care physician wouldn't even bother referring me for further testing; he just kept telling me to watch what I eat. And honestly, if my doctor won't take it seriously, why should I? Am I an idiot?🙂That all changed this summer when I ended up in the hospital—not for anything else, but specifically because of anemia caused by that ongoing bleeding. It was brutal. For two or three years, I’d been feeling exhausted, completely drained, dizzy all the time, heart racing... you name it. It turns out it all boiled down to anemia. I suppose I'm lucky it wasn't something even worse, right? But now, I've been undergoing treatment for months, and who knows how much longer I'll have to choke down pills every single day until my blood work stabilizes. To give you an idea, my iron levels plummeted from a healthy 20+ down to a pathetic 2. No wonder I felt like a zombie...
So, seriously people, don't play games with your health. Just go to the doctor...

I’m sorry to say this, but I think the initial mistake was yours—though the oversight by your physician was perhaps even more significant. Honestly, once you realize something isn't right and it persists for months, let alone years, you really shouldn't hesitate to seek professional medical help immediately.😁
Hemorrhoids are certainly nothing to take lightly. While minor issues can be managed with over-the-counter creams or topical treatments, if you're facing heavy bleeding, discomfort while sitting, or difficulty with bowel movements, you really can't afford to wait.🤷

I’ve been scrolling through various threads on this topic, hoping to stumble upon some real-world accounts of using bee products to manage hemorrhoids, but I have to say, I’m feeling pretty let down by the lack of information.
From my perspective as a beekeeper, I’ve seen firsthand how apitherapy—specifically utilizing preparations made from royal jelly, propolis, pollen, and honey—can lead to successful recoveries, even in those stubborn chronic cases where multiple surgeries haven't quite done the trick. If anyone here has gone down this path or is considering trying it, please, I’d love to hear your experiences, or feel free to reach out to me directly via DM.
Thanks.

Hey everyone,
So... I've been feeling this slight stinging sensation for about 3 or 4 days now. When I wipe, there’s just a tiny little speck of blood—nothing major, just a small dot. I haven't felt any pea-sized lumps or anything, and my sister even took a look to check things out and said everything seems normal. My digestion is usually fine, I don't eat peanuts, and I stay hydrated with plenty of water, tea, and probiotics. I haven't been particularly active lately since I had some medical tests done and basically had to be a couch potato for a bit.🙂Could this possibly be internal hemorrhoids? My dad deals with this kind of stuff quite a bit, though his issues are likely different since his bowel movements are pretty irregular. Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated...

TO coastalpuma4:

It sounds like you're dealing with internal issues; I experience the exact same thing myself. Hemorrhoids can definitely be hereditary, so if your father struggled with them, there is a high probability you will too. That tiny spot likely just means a small vessel has burst, which isn't as scary as it feels. People deal with much more significant bleeding than this, so please try not to worry too much. If sitting becomes uncomfortable, you might find some relief using topical ointments or medicated wipes, but generally, the best approach is maintaining a solid diet, ensuring regular bowel movements, keeping the area clean after every movement, and staying active. You might want to avoid fruits with tough skins or seeds—or just peel them first—and steer clear of overly greasy or spicy foods. There is really no need to panic; everything is going to be fine. 👍

I think I might give it a try myself, though I suppose I would need a specific recipe first. 😉 😉
I haven't personally heard much about this particular approach, but I find it quite plausible; since the medicinal benefits of honey are so widely recognized for various uses, it seems entirely reasonable that it could work here as well.

So, it looks like I might be dealing with some hemorrhoid issues myself... about a month ago, I noticed this little soft, elongated bump near my anus, but it wasn't red or anything, and it just kind of cleared up on its own after two or three days. Now, it's popped up again, though it doesn't really hurt—just a bit itchy, if that makes sense. There’s no blood when I go to the bathroom either, and it still looks just like normal skin color. Do you think these are actually hemorrhoids? And should I try using some kind of over-the-counter ointment or something else to get rid of it... I mean, how long does it usually take for them to finally go away? I'll definitely head to see a doctor if things start getting worse, obviously, but I was hoping I could maybe handle this on my own first if it's even possible...
