Rachel Wilson24 said:Can you please recommend a good vein cream? I'm looking for something reliable. I know there are also Detralex tablets for veins, so maybe I could combine them—take the pills and use a topical ointment at the same time...

You actually asked this about five or six posts ago, but here we go again: Vaseline, Nature's Bounty, and so on. I used the first one for years, but since they stopped carrying it, I switched to another brand. They're all horse chestnut-based, so basically just herbal remedies.

Just a quick heads-up: try not to quote entire posts. If you're giving a direct answer right below, you don't even need to quote it. If it's not a direct response, just trim out the extra stuff and leave only what you're actually replying to! It makes everything much easier to read...

I picked this up a while ago, but since I've just been sitting on it, I figured it was finally time to give it a shot—though, honestly, I’m pretty skeptical that it’ll actually make a difference for me. At least it’s a lot cheaper than Pilex, even if the long-term cost eventually adds up. But then again, if something actually worked like magic, I don't think anyone would even be looking at the price tag, right?

If it's not a direct reply, just delete everything unnecessary and leave only the specific part you're responding to! It’ll make this whole thread way easier to read...

Thanks for the tip, I've already fixed my formatting😁...What I meant was, my Detralex tablets are actually on their way from Mexico right now because they're about $10 more expensive here in the States, and when you're buying in bulk, that adds up fast. I've tried Detralex before, but only for a little while, so I didn't feel like they did much for me. Now I realize you actually have to stick with them consistently over a long period if you want to see any real results. My doctor's nurse has been using them for years with just tiny breaks, and she says her hemorrhoids are completely under control—so much so that she can actually relax and treat herself to some spicy sausages once in a while😁! Hopefully, we can all be that disciplined😛

Quick question here—I’ve been scrolling through a few pages but haven't seen anything like this yet, so...

So,
while I was taking a massive dump, I noticed some blood on the toilet paper. It's bright red, not dark. And there's quite a bit of it—not even enough to wipe it away because it just keeps coming. This has been going on for a few days now.
Using a mirror, I saw what looks like a scratch or a split in the skin near my anus, and that seems to be where the bleeding is coming from.
The thing is, nothing hurts. There’s zero pain, no discomfort, nothing at all—just blood on the toilet paper!

Should I be worried? Is this just hemorrhoids...?

Help me out!

Thanks 😢

Evo, I've read this whole thread from the top, but I don't feel any smarter about it 😛 so I have a few questions for you "experts" in this field..😉😁
I don't have (or at least I can't feel) any lumps around my anus, but I've been itching like crazy for weeks now, and lately, it’s started stinging quite a bit too. No blood in my stool though. I have a desk job, but I try to stay active as much as I can. Following some advice, I've been washing with just warm water and I even picked up some Aloe Vera ointment and that propolis stuff, but honestly, nothing is working so far. It makes me wonder... do I even have hemorrhoids or what?!
A friend of mine who actually had surgery says I probably have internal ones, but from what I've been reading, people usually deal with bleeding and other symptoms that I'm just not seeing. Or maybe it's just not that bad yet?!
I just read about this old-school remedy—eating pumpkin seeds every day—so I'm heading out to grab some right now. Also, can you still get that Dolacain cream over the counter at a pharmacy?

Henry Baker64 said:I've got a quick question for you guys—I’ve been flipping through a few pages here and haven't seen anything like this mentioned yet, so... here goes nothing.

So, basically,
So, I was in the restroom earlier and noticed some blood on the toilet paper. It’s bright red, not dark, which I guess is supposed to mean something, right? But there's a ton of it—like, enough that I can't even wipe because it just keeps coming. This has been going on for a few days now. Seriously, it's getting ridiculous.
I took a look in the mirror and, man, I saw this scratch or like a split in the skin right on my butt. It’s bleeding—or at least, that’s how it looks to me.
Look, let's get one thing straight: nothing actually hurts. I’m not feeling any pain at all, and honestly, it isn't even bothering me—it doesn't bother me one bit. The only issue is seeing blood on the restroom paper!

Should I be freaking out? Is this actually hemorrhoids...?

I need help, seriously! Please, someone, give me a hand here!

Thanks. 😢

Look, sometimes there isn't even any pain at all, yet you still know the hemorrhoids are right there. Most of the time—at least from what I’ve gathered—the internal ones don't really bother you, unless they get seriously inflamed, then yeah, they start acting up too. But once those external ones flare up and grab hold? That’s when the pain gets intense. If you're stuck dealing with this stuff and you aren't sure what's actually going on, just go get checked out. Seriously. Don't overthink it; it's not some big scary ordeal, believe me. You'll be in and out of the doctor's office in no time.👍I've got both internal and external ones, and honestly, the internal ones just keep slipping out, so there you go. I have no clue how it varies from person to person—everyone's dealing with something different.😉Actually, it's more like I totally blanked on it...🤷

It sounds like internal hemorrhoids to me. Sitting around all day just makes them worse... it might just be the beginning stages, but seriously, watch what you eat. Go talk to someone at a pharmacy and ask what cream they recommend—don't be shy about explaining what's going on. When it comes to this stuff, being embarrassed is your worst enemy!

Honestly, you should just walk yourself over to the doctor to get a definitive diagnosis on what’s actually going on.

If we're talking about hemorrhoids, you might find some helpful tips here, but if it turns out to be something else, you could be facing other issues that might be quite serious.

Look, I totally get wanting to show solidarity with people dealing with the same issues—we all want to help. But instead of offering well-meaning advice that basically just describes a descent into hell, we really should be telling anyone who says they're seeing blood for the first time the one right way to handle it: GO TO THE DOCTOR! It might just be hemorrhoids, but it might not be, you know?? Of course, the easiest way most people try to figure things out is by jumping onto Google and typing in "hemorrhoids." You don't have to fall for those flashy ads promising magic, overpriced cures, but at least you can learn something useful from actual medical info online.

Hi everyone. I’ve been reading through these threads repeatedly, but I just can't seem to find anything that addresses my specific situation. Basically, I have SOMETHING down there. I'm not entirely sure what it is or how much of it there is, which is why I'm scheduling an appointment with a specialist. My primary care physician mentioned it might just be a tiny polyp, about the size of a grain of rice, and suggested it could be removed in an outpatient procedure. The issue is that I’m feeling pain throughout the entire surrounding area—it feels deep inside. I couldn't sleep at all last night because of it. I'm asking for any advice on first aid to manage the pain until I can see the specialist. Just something to take the edge off...
It goes without saying that the pain this time is excruciating, especially since it follows a bowel movement accompanied by bleeding.
I'd appreciate any information you can share. I just need the pain to subside; I can't even sit properly at work anymore..

Look, everyone has their own go-to "remedy" that works for them; some swear by aspirin, others by ibuprofen, or acetaminophen... and so on.
Personally, following my hemorrhoid surgery, I took Ketorolac, and it worked wonders for me.
The bottom line is to stick with whatever you usually tolerate so you don't end up dealing with stomach issues or other side effects, and call it a day.

Sorry... but honestly... many people can overdo it with those kinds of things. I am certain they help, but only when the situation becomes absolutely unbearable.
I only reach for a pill in an absolute emergency.
I am actually on a lifelong therapy regimen because of allergies and some bronchitis... but I only use it when it is strictly necessary (usually during peak allergy season).
I have dealt with the flu, colds, and headaches for three years now. It all comes and goes... but I don't touch pills.
To avoid going off-topic...
On Tuesday night, I met a girl—who, quite frankly, I was shocked could even suffer from hemorrhoids—who managed to cure hers. They just receded after she changed her diet. She gave me the brief version of how she did it, and since I am seeing her again in a few days, she will explain the details.
Prevention is always better than a cure.😉

Better to prevent it than to treat it😉

Can you share that with us later? Some of us are still suffering miserably from hemorrhoids.😢

I was honestly hoping for some kind of cream or something to ease the discomfort until I can actually see a doctor. I'm not really the type to just pop painkillers every time something hurts...
I'll hang in there. Hopefully, the wait for my appointment won't be too long.

But why did you think it was so unbelievable that she had hemorrhoids? Haha, even younger people deal with this, even the fit ones.😉 LOL

Look, plain and simple: my pain threshold is practically zero. It's incredibly low, so when something really starts tearing me apart, I just can't endure it for very long. When the pain gets to a point where I can't even think straight, let alone function normally, I simply take some medication.

That doesn't make me some kind of pill addict—it just means I take something when the discomfort becomes intolerable...

Most people understand (at least the majority do) that medication is a necessary evil and should be avoided whenever there's a suitable alternative, but that isn't always a practical reality.

Why on earth would you find it unbelievable that she had hemorrhoids? Honestly! Even younger people deal with them. And even the good-looking ones too!😉LOL!

My doctor keeps warning me that I'm headed straight for hemorrhoids. Honestly, I thought I had at least another 10 or 15 years before dealing with that! I was under the impression that nobody younger than 30 or 35 ever had to worry about this stuff. But hey, life always finds a way to surprise you!

Don't get me wrong—I am absolutely not a pill addict. It’s quite simple: when the pain becomes truly unbearable, I take something to manage it!

Most people—at least the informed majority—understand that medication is often a necessary evil. We should always aim to choose a natural alternative whenever possible, but let's be honest: that doesn't always work out in practice.

Without a doubt. I’ve heard it more times than I can count: a person really is their own best doctor. 😉

I was wondering if anyone knows how much that Dolacain cream usually goes for? Also, I guess I should ask—is it intended for external use, or is it meant for internal application?

Something weird happened at work this morning. I headed to the restroom and noticed this bright red, honestly pretty distracting spot right on my backside. It looked like pus was just oozing out of there. I was stumped. I asked a coworker what he thought and showed him. His brilliant diagnosis? He figured it was from too much "anal fun." So, we decided to walk into the boss's office and let him weigh in. He gave us the exact same answer before sending me straight to the doctor. The doc, however, shot down the "too much fun" theory. He said they were actually just hemorrhoids and handed me some cream made from chicken egg cells.
What’s your take on this?

wanderinggardener6 said:I had a rather unsettling experience at the office this morning when I stepped away to the restroom and noticed a peculiar, deep red spot. It looked quite concerning, almost as if there was some discharge occurring. I found myself feeling a bit lost, so I eventually asked a colleague for his perspective and showed him what was happening. He jokingly suggested it might be due to excessive anal play, which felt a bit crude, so we decided to approach our manager to see if he could offer any insight. He shared the same humorous take before sending me to see a doctor. Ultimately, the physician clarified that it wasn't related to anything like that, but was actually just hemorrhoids, and prescribed a cream made from some sort of chicken cell derivative.
What are your thoughts on this situation?
