Starting today, I’ve been using a cream from a guy who works at a local pharmacy; he’s one of those people who makes custom remedies for almost anyone, and he actually suggested that Vaseline trick to me... right now, he’s put together some rather unappealing drops and a cream for me to try...

Please, let me know if it works...
In the meantime, I think I'll try applying some chamomile tea compresses...

And how much does laser treatment for hemorrhoids actually run for? I guess one could look into local clinics or maybe specialized surgical centers in the US... 🤔

I’m just completely overwhelmed... I honestly don't know what to do anymore..

I saw my doctor today, and she suggested I head into the hospital so they can figure out a real plan for these external hemorrhoids, since the creams aren't doing a thing. She mentioned that I’ll probably need to have them rubber banded...

And I just turned 20...
It feels pretty terrible.. I feel like such a mess, especially on top of dealing with other health issues too..😠

Has anyone here actually had hemorrhoid banding done? I know some people talk about traditional surgery, but has anyone specifically gone through the banding procedure, and if so, what was your experience like...?!??

I’m really scared, and I truly don't want to go through any of this.....😢 😢 😢

In short: everyone is going to give you their two cents on what to do, but listen to your doctor—they know best. You do what you have to do, and if surgery is the only way, then that's just how it goes.

Look, we're all terrified, and we've all been there. Honestly, who wouldn't freak out when they see that tiny spray of blood? It feels like life is slipping away right then and there... But it's NOT!! Nobody has died from this, so please, don't beat yourself up—just grit your teeth and try to stay positive that it isn't something even worse. This isn't the end of the world. There are much heavier things out there, so even if this hit you early on, use that as a reason to fight—you clearly have the strength for it! Besides, you're a woman, right? You can handle this.

I suppose we all deal with these fears at some point. It’s hard not to feel a bit shaken when you see that thin spray of blood; it can honestly feel like life is flashing before your eyes for a second. But it really isn't like that. No one has died from this, so I guess there's no sense in dwelling on it too much. Just grit your teeth and try to be thankful it isn't something significantly more serious. It’s certainly not the end of the world, and there are plenty of much worse things out there. Even if you felt blindsided by this, maybe that just means you have the strength to fight through it. You're a woman, after all, right?

Thanks, Jessica Grant56... I think I needed that reality check. 😛
You're a legend! 🙏 😉

Don't let it get you down... there are still kids to raise and being there to hold a grandchild's hand! Life isn't some perfect little melody—it’s just what it is. If there's some other version of life out there where things aren't this difficult? Well, I guess we'll never know.

I just got back from my doctor's office after another checkup, and it looks like the ultimate solution is going to be cauterization. I was really holding out hope that we could just get it over with right away, but in my specific situation😂—of course—that isn't an option. They put me on a course of antibiotics because of the inflammation, and I'm scheduled to go back in three weeks. My only prayer is that I don't completely lose my mind before then because of "my little princess," who makes every single day a struggle... She's cold (so wrap her up), her pants are chafing (so take them off), and now, as if things weren't difficult enough, even my underwear is starting to irritate the area🤣... Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the antibiotics to actually kick in? Now that it turns out this is such a significant inflammation that the meds can't just fix it instantly☕...

So, I’ve finally decided to just go through with the classic surgery—you know, the one where they essentially cauterize those three main hemorrhoids that seem to act as magnets for all the other issues. Apparently, things like staplers or laser treatments don't do much when the hemorrhoids have reached this advanced stage; they just keep coming back. My doctor tried to reassure me that "classic" doesn't mean what it used to; he joked that it's no longer like using a sledgehammer and a chisel, which helped a little. He claims it's significantly less painful than the old days, and I might even be able to walk around the house by the third day. Granted, the recovery period is a bit more drawn out compared to the quick laser fixes, but the trade-off is that the chance of them returning is practically zero. I'm heading in for a rectoscopy in a few days, so if any of you have been through that, I’d love to hear your thoughts—is the procedure actually as painful as people make it out to be?🤷

Look, people, get one thing straight. Every single hemorrhoid is going to come back sooner or later if you just keep up this ridiculous routine of eating garbage and living like a total slob. Seriously, get that through your heads. You might feel better for a year, maybe two, even three after surgery, but that doesn't mean you're off the hook. By the fifth year, they could come roaring back even worse than before.

So what?!? Am I really going to stop eating well just because of that? Give me a break! No way am I letting some "goodbye" stop me from enjoying all the delicious food this world has to offer. Besides, nobody actually lives past 120 anyway...

Can you even imagine? Every single month, I end up blowing more money on various pills and creams that, frankly, don't even seem to work anymore, rather than just paying for the procedure to get them burned away... And honestly, if someone could just guarantee me that I’ll actually be able to live a normal life again for a while... then🙏, I feel like I'm just suffering for nothing. As for the diet, please, enlighten me, because I am completely at a loss regarding what I should even be eating. When I hear all the theories about how and why hemorrhoids develop, I just want to scream... It was because of advice exactly like that—eating soups, fruits, and vegetables—that I found myself running to the bathroom every ten minutes, which only made everything so much worse since everything was already so irritated...
Right now, this feels like my only real option, and truthfully, I am just counting down the days until I can resolve this and finally get back to my routine, to living normally... And no, my goal isn't to bulk up on heavy foods like brisket or thick stews; I've never been into that kind of thing. What I really miss is being active—rollerblading, cycling... wearing jeans... I simply just miss having a life without this constant pain...

You hit the nail on the head, Karen Adams2! Honestly, my only goal in life right now is to exist without constant pain, even if it takes me an entire year of trying to get there. I can't even tell you how long it's been since I managed to go for a simple two-hour stroll without those hemorrhoids acting up and making everything unbearable. I'm just counting down the days until my surgery... I just need someone to finally put this agony out of its misery.😛

Everything is going to turn out fine, really. Regarding the sigmoidoscopy, it’s more about discomfort than actual pain, though honestly, it all depends heavily on the doctor you end up with. The first time I had one done, it felt absolutely horrendous—I genuinely thought I was going to burst—but with the second doctor, it was actually quite manageable. Not everyone has the right touch for these things...😁

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I’m also dealing with hemorrhoids. I only just found out about them during a recent checkup with my gynecologist; I mentioned that I was experiencing intense itching and felt what seemed like small external lumps, and after a quick look, she told me straight up: you have hemorrhoids. Since I had never dealt with this before, I did some digging, and the advice I received was to use Faktu ointment, cut out spicy foods, and use cold water rinses. Honestly, I find the cold water thing a bit much—as a young woman planning for a future family, I don't feel like applying cold water down there, but it seems like something I'll have to do. Anyway, I started using the Faktu and, surprisingly, it helped at first, but the issue returned shortly after. The itching is still constant, though thankfully there is no pain or bleeding involved. Now, I've gone back to using the Faktu, but this time it isn't making any difference at all. At this point, I am genuinely at a loss for what to do. Could anyone with experience please advise me or recommend a more effective ointment? This is incredibly uncomfortable and the itching can become almost unbearable.😲Thank you so much in advance.🙏

PROFESSIONAL DEBATE!! I was listening to this radio segment a few days ago about this topic... It’s popular, I guess. But the doctor on the show—who just wouldn't stop rambling—kept insisting on the word HEMORRHOIDS. Like, why so much emphasis?? It’s not like it’s HEMEGLOBIN or HEMOPHILIA, or anything else... it's always "HEMO" if he's just trying to talk about blood. At this rate, it shouldn't even be "HOMO," it should be "HEMO"?!? Honestly, my fellow HEMOsapiens...

Why cold, though? Just because someone said so? It’s like—one thing helps, while the other actually makes it worse. Cold water is meant to constrict the veins when things start bleeding out... Though, honestly, even ice can work since it acts locally without chilling the more vital areas.

I have a bit of a question for the group..
Yesterday, I noticed something that made me suspect it might be a hemorrhoid, though I am honestly not entirely certain if that is the case or if it is simply a subcutaneous pimple, especially since when I applied a little pressure, a tiny amount of fluid escaped from it. It doesn't really sting, there is only a very slight discomfort when I sit down, there is no bleeding, and while it looks somewhat reddish, it isn't particularly intense, nor am I having any issues with my bowel movements.
What do you all think—could this be a pimple or is it more likely a hemorrhoid? My suspicion leans toward it being a hemorrhoid because of its location near the opening and the fact that it feels like a small lump.
-thank you all for your responses-

Lisa Cook81 said:So, here’s the deal... it’s been about two months now. I’ve been sticking to the routine, applying things twice a day—firstly using just some basic ointment for a solid month, and then switching over to something with lidocaine. Honestly? The pain is gone, there’s no bleeding, and nothing is stinging or burning anymore. But still, I just want them gone once and for all because they are driving me absolutely insane! 😠

So, I was wondering if anyone here has actually given those Hemoroidin tablets from Encian a shot? Like, did they actually do anything for you, or am I just throwing money down the drain?
😢
Thanks...

So, I finally bit the bullet and picked up those tablets today. I figured I’d give them a fair shake and then circle back in a week or two to let you guys know if they actually do anything. To be honest, I've been messing around with that Hemopropin cream for about ten days now, and if I'm being completely real with you, it hasn't exactly been a game-changer. Not seeing much of a difference at all, which kind of stinks, right? We'll see if the pills have better luck. 🙄

I’m also dealing with some internal hemorrhoids, so whenever I go after a big bathroom session, I end up seeing little drops of blood on the toilet paper. Personally, I don't think it's anything major, and I'm just hoping it doesn't escalate into something more serious or dangerous down the road. 🙄

I found myself debating whether I should even respond to this, mostly because poking around down there on your own seems like a questionable way to diagnose anything... and honestly, if someone actually tries to handle it themselves without knowing the difference between a pimple and a hemorrhoid, they're asking for trouble. The distinction is actually quite significant; a hemorrhoid is essentially a swollen vein filled with blood, whereas a pimple is just an outgrowth of sebum or pus under the skin. If you look in a mirror, the difference should be pretty obvious. It might be worth browsing some medical websites regarding hemorrhoids just to compare what you're seeing with actual clinical images. Regardless, you absolutely do NOT squeeze a hemorrhoid; if you tried to do that, you'd probably jump through the ceiling from the pain alone.😲
