Chloe Gomez6 said:I’ve already started doing 2x1, so I’m sticking with it. Maybe one more after that. It helps. I can still feel them when I touch, but there's no pain, no itching, and no burning.

I know you can't be sure if you're cured for good (though I hope you are😁), but I was wondering about how things look? Can you see anything or feel anything abnormal? Are you able to wipe without being terrified after a bowel movement?

And as for food, I try to be careful. But when I'm out grabbing lunch somewhere, it feels silly to be overly cautious (or maybe that's just an excuse to pig out on the stuff I usually avoid😁).

Honestly, I don't remember ever using toilet paper and then immediately sprinting to the shower. If I'm out and it hits me, I just rush home. Since I go every three days, I usually know when it's coming and stay put—this whole situation definitely dictates my life.
It looks totally O.K. Not perfect, but I'm🙂

Here I am again 😲!
So, look, I went to see my doctor who gave my backside a full inspection 😉 and she told me it was just one single "prolapsed hemorrhoid." Even when she did the whole finger-in-the-butt routine, nothing actually hurt... but, uh, now I’m feeling this burning, stinging, cutting sensation down there again 😲 and I’m totally lost... can that prolapsed hemorrhoid just swell right back up like that???
And... I gotta ask, does it ever feel like the pain shoots down into your leg (like reflex pain), or am I just losing my mind? It honestly feels like the ache is spreading everywhere. 😕
Basically, I’ve been dealing with gut issues for years—you know, that whole irritable bowel type of situation—but lately, the bloating and gas have gone absolutely haywire.
I don't have any blood in my stool, but whenever I go, it feels like everything down there just gets scorched afterward, like the movement itself is totally destructive... I am seriously going crazy over all this. 😠

Also... does it ever cause pain in your leg (referred pain), or am I just imagining things? It feels like the pain is spreading everywhere.😕

I get leg pain too, just on one side (the left😁). It feels like a nerve ache🤷. It only happens occasionally. And what did she say? That she couldn't feel anything during the exam?😕 Maybe she doesn't really know what she's looking for. As for that "prolapsed" part (I think I have it too)—why doesn't that skin just retract? To me, it looks like a little tail hanging there, it's just annoying.😢
I'm not sure what to tell you. Weren't you posting on the ZZ forum about thinking this might be a gynecological issue? Or maybe I'm confusing you with someone else.

Greetings!
Please accept my apologies in advance if this topic has already been addressed, as I haven't had the opportunity to read through every single post from the very beginning of this thread...
In my own experience, I have found Ultraproct ointment to be exceptionally effective, so if you haven't tried it yet, it might be worth your consideration.
Best of luck to you all.

Chloe Gomez6 said:Sometimes my leg starts acting up—just one side, the left one😁. It feels like a nerve is being pinched or something🤷. It’s just an occasional thing, though. And honestly, what did she say? That she couldn't feel anything back there?😕 Maybe she doesn't even know what she's looking for. Also, what's the deal with that "skin tag" thing? (I think I've got one too). Why won't that little bit of skin just retract? To me, it just looks like a tiny little tail hanging out—totally pointless.😢
I don't really know what to tell you. Wait, didn't you post on those other forums too? Thinking maybe it was some gynecological issue? Or am I mixing you up with someone else?

No, you haven't mixed me up—I was posting over there too, because at one point everything down there just started hurting so much I couldn't even tell where the pain was coming from. First, I went to my primary doctor, who didn't see anything suspicious 😕, but then I ended up seeing my gynecologist because everything down there was burning and aching, and I thought... well, I won't say what I thought, but even he concluded that everything was more or less within the normal range, aside from a minor infection... so I got some vaginal suppositories and things were O.K. for a bit... I calmed down... but now, things are acting up again. There's this stinging, cutting sensation, and sometimes the pain just spreads out everywhere, though I haven't noticed any other spots hurting... I'm not bleeding, but I did feel some thickening around the anal area for a while... and now all I have are these intermittent pains and moments where it feels like my intestines are about to burst out of me... just this constant pressure on the anus... yeah, I don't know what else to say.
When I apply creams, it "calms down" a little... but then once I sit for too long or after a bowel movement, the pain or burning comes right back.
My stools have been getting more regular; for a while they were kind of "unprocessed and soft," but now they're... mostly normal... I'm a super neurotic and anxious person, though... and I'm pretty sure those two traits aren't helping—they're actually making everything way worse. 🤷

Honestly, I also experience pain somewhere in that middle area. Since I had my Bartholin gland removed this year, I never know if the sensation is from the surgery or from hemorrhoids, since it's right in between. Dealing with neurosis and anxiety—I can only imagine how tough that is for you 😢. Still, maybe seeing a proctologist would reveal something else entirely. I don't want to scare you, though 😁.

Sorry if this was already covered—I haven't scrolled through everything from the very beginning...
Ultraproct ointment works wonders (speaking from experience), so if you haven't tried it, give it a shot.
Good luck.

So, where can I actually pick up that ointment?

Chloe Gomez6 said:Honestly, I get that weird sensation right in the middle too. Since I had my Bartholin gland removed earlier this year, I can never tell if it's lingering post-op discomfort or just some chemical reaction—it’s all kind of blurred together. And god, the neurosis and anxiety involved... I can only imagine how much you're spiraling😢. But look, if you actually go see a proctologist, it might turn out to be something else entirely. Not trying to freak you out here, just being real.😁

Heh... the thing is, I'm totally terrified that I've got some massive, life-altering issue going on... but then again, I already went back to my doctor and she basically told me there's nothing to worry about. And of course, that was exactly what I needed to hear because I'm too chicken to push for more tests... I'll eventually deal with it, I guess. It's just a matter of when I finally hit my breaking point and just call someone to schedule an exam.
And honestly, everything around the area just aches sometimes... everywhere... I even felt like my groin glands were acting up, though they don't feel swollen or anything. Even my armpits feel sore... maybe it's some nasty nerve pain 😕🤷😲... it's not exactly a sharp pain, more like this intense, painful itching. Nothing is swollen, which is normal for me... ugh... maybe the best move is to just suck it up, face the music, and get these fears cleared up once and for all 🙄

So, I gotta ask—what do your hemorrhoids actually look like?
Basically, I finally worked up the nerve last night to take a good look at my anal area, specifically where those lumps are. But here’s the thing—it’s not red, and there aren't any crazy veins popping out or anything. It just feels like these larger, subcutaneous swellings... you know, like big bumps under the skin rather than some open wound or something gross like that. And now? Now I am freaking out big time????
I always pictured hemorrhoids being these bright red growths, ugh, so who knows what on earth I'm dealing with here!!!!!!!!!!

😲 So, what's the hold-up? Are you still not Hemo-free yet?

Sandra Baker35 said:Heh... the issue is that I’m feeling pretty anxious and convinced that I have, who knows what. Again, I went back to see my doctor, and she told me she didn't think I needed to go any further. Honestly, that was exactly what I needed to hear, given how much I'm dreading going elsewhere. I'll see—I'll probably end up seeking more help eventually, it's just a matter of when I finally reach my breaking point and just call to schedule an appointment.
Everything hurts at times... all over. I had this feeling like my groin glands were aching, though they don't feel swollen to me. My armpits are hurting too. Maybe I'm just dealing with some nasty pain. 😕🤷😲It’s not exactly pain, more like an intense itch... a painful kind of itching. There isn't any swelling, though; that's nothing new for me. Honestly, maybe it would be best if I just went to the doctor and dealt with all these fears once and for all. 🙄

Man, I'm dealing with swollen glands under my armpits too.😁Honestly, maybe group therapy would be your best bet. I know a few people who struggled with health anxiety, and that really turned things around for them. It’s a great way to keep your mind off everything else. I actually know two people who attend regularly, and they absolutely love it—they say it's fantastic. I’d join in myself, but my budget just won't allow it right now.

Good grief, (honestly, my own glands under my armpits are acting up too😁), maybe you should just look into group therapy—I know some folks who dealt with hypochondria and that actually did the trick for them. It’ll definitely distract you from obsessing over the issues. I know two people who go regularly and they swear by it, say they absolutely love those sessions. Honestly, I'd probably go myself—if I wasn't totally broke.

So, if you don't mind, shoot me the doctor's name and their number... I'd seriously consider giving it a shot myself...

So, get this—ANUICE has finally hit the US market. It’s this unique American patent that uses cryotherapy to actually deal with both internal and external hemorrhoids. Basically, it’s a plastic applicator that you just toss in the fridge, and once it's chilled, you use it as a cold compress to knock out inflammation, pain, that annoying itch, and any bleeding. Using it is dead simple—takes maybe 8 to 10 minutes—and it pretty much kills the pain and bleeding almost instantly. If you're dealing with something milder, you can usually get it sorted in about 5 days by using the ANUICE compress 4 times a day. The best part? There are zero drugs in it, so you don't have to worry about side effects or contraindications. And since it's reusable, you just wash it off and stick it back in the fridge. You can grab it at most local pharmacies or head over to the Apollonia Medical Center at 7 Primrose Lane or their location on Velebitska Street, Split.

Why don't you just ask for a referral to a specialist or go to a private clinic? This isn't something you should play around with.

I’m curious if anyone here has actually gone through rubber band ligation. I haven't seen anyone write a detailed account of it, just a few passing comments about how much it sucks.
On the other hand, the doctor claims it doesn't hurt at all, that you can function perfectly normally—basically, there’s no reason to complain. I don't see why someone would lie about that.😕

What I really want to know is if anyone here has actually gone through rubber band ligation. I haven't found anyone who’s written a full-blown post about it—just some random passing comments saying it's a nightmare.
On the flip side, my doctor keeps telling me it doesn't hurt at all, that you can function totally normally afterward, basically implying there's zero reason to call out of work. Honestly, I don't see why someone would lie about that. 😕

I am seriously not joking. I already saw my primary care doctor—she did the whole exam, the finger thing and all—and she's not some total moron who wouldn't notice what's going on... and yeah, I'm planning on seeing a specialist privately too. It's just that I'm a total panicker and a massive hypochondriac, which just adds layers of extra dread to everything... everyone is scared of doctors, but for people like me, it's a hundred times worse. But look, I shouldn't be spiraling here; there are other threads for the anxiety stuff, so I won't drag that out... but yeah, if you're asking if I'm absolutely terrified? Yes, I am.😲

Sandra Baker35 said:I'm not kidding around here. I actually went in to see my doctor, and she performed a physical exam—including a digital rectal exam—and I find it hard to believe someone with her level of training would miss something obvious if it were there. To be safe, I’ve also scheduled a private consultation with a proctologist, because let's face it, I'm a total hypochondriac and prone to panic, which only serves to amplify my anxiety. Everyone dreads going to the doctor, but for those of us who constantly spiral into health anxiety, that fear is magnified a hundredfold. I won't turn this into a venting session about my neuroses, though, since there are probably other threads dedicated to health anxiety, and I don't want to derail the conversation. But if you want to know the truth: yes, I am absolutely terrified.😲

General practice definitely isn't the gold standard here; it’s much better not to mislead a patient when the entire course of their illness might hinge on getting to a specialist in time. If you're genuinely losing sleep over this, just go get an exam as soon as possible—you'll save yourself a massive amount of pointless anxiety and mental exhaustion.

I’ve always felt that there is a certain futility in obsessing over worst-case scenarios before they even have a chance to materialize. We spend so much energy rehearsing tragedies that almost never actually happen, essentially draining our own batteries and driving ourselves into a state of exhaustion. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts; you end up physically unwell simply because the constant stress has completely gutted your immune system. Beyond the physiological toll, there’s also the matter of mindset—it feels like if you constantly dwell on misfortune, you're practically inviting it into your life. If you want things to go well, you really have to focus on the positive possibilities instead.
I also tend to feel that there’s a certain futility in constantly beating your head against a wall when it comes to things that are simply beyond your control—you know, obsessing over circumstances where you have zero leverage and absolutely no say in the outcome.
I know how it goes—sometimes it’s just much easier to talk about doing something than it actually is to follow through. 😉

Alex Moore62 said:General practitioners definitely shouldn't be the final word here—you don't want to mislead someone when their whole recovery might hinge on seeing a specialist right away. Honestly, if you're spiraling this hard, just go get checked out ASAP. It'll save you from all this pointless dread and misery.

Personally, I think stressing out ahead of time is just bad business. You start dwelling on these nightmare scenarios that almost never actually happen, and before you know it, you've completely drained yourself. You end up making yourself sick just because the stress nukes your immune system. Not to sound too "woo-woo," but there's that whole idea about not "inviting" bad luck—if you dwell on the negative, you're basically manifesting it. You gotta keep the vibes positive to see positive results.
Same goes for obsessing over stuff that’s totally out of your hands—you know, things where you have zero control over the outcome. Why burn your energy on that?
I get it, though—easier said than done. 😉

I'm right there with you... everything is fine until we're talking about actual illness. See, I've been dealing with certain mental hurdles—anxiety, panic attacks, and pretty intense hypochondria—for about 20 years now. I've even sought treatment for it, but honestly, it hasn't been much help.
Here's the thing: if a person is rational—meaning they're mentally sound—then they can process things the way you're describing. But when you're battling an actual illness or one of those disorders I deal with, being "rational" becomes a massive uphill battle. Because at its core, the whole point of the sickness is that it occasionally makes you feel completely "irrational."
Man, I'd love to be part of your group of level-headed people, but... I guess that's just wishful thinking on my part.
But hey, look, you have to seek treatment... try every possible avenue and see every specialist available. Still, there's a protocol: you start with your primary care doctor, and then you move up the chain. I truly believe even general practitioners have more than enough "enviable" knowledge to handle specific issues; otherwise, their entire job wouldn't make any sense in the first place.

Look, if you want to deal with this, regular hygiene is everything. Seriously, don't go overboard with the toilet paper—either ditch it or just use a tiny amount. Every single time you finish up in the bathroom, just wash yourself with some lukewarm water and apply some Faktu ointment. If you've got an outbreak right now and you stay on top of applying it, you might actually dodge a full-blown inflammation. I once had two of them flare up at once—honestly, it was a nightmare, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I ended up seeing a doctor about it. But hey, if things really start getting inflamed, just use Ultraproct ointment; it clears up in like two days, and I know that because I tested it on my own skin. Also, try to eat plenty of fiber and keep drinking water. And for the love of God, take a break from the gym for a little while. You can actually trigger hemorrhoids just by pushing too hard during heavy lifting—I actually read that on the news last night. Anyway, catch ya later.👍

Sandra Baker35 said:I’m with you on that... everything seems fine until illness enters the equation. For about twenty years now, I’ve been dealing with certain psychological hurdles—anxiety, panic attacks, and some pretty intense hypochondria. I’ve sought treatment for these issues over the years, but honestly, it hasn't yielded much success.
So, here is my take: if a person is rational—which implies they are mentally sound—they can exercise the kind of healthy judgment you’re describing. But when you're battling a disorder like mine, being "rational" becomes a moving target, because the very nature of the illness is to occasionally strip away your ability to be reasonable at all.
I would love to belong to your group, but... I suppose that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
Still, one has to seek treatment... through every possible avenue and under any specialist who handles these matters. There is a standard protocol, though: you start with Primary Care and move forward from there. In my view, Primary Care physicians possess enough specialized knowledge to handle most things; otherwise, their role wouldn't carry much weight in the medical system.

I didn't realize everything you were fighting against, so please forgive me. I had no ill intentions—quite the opposite, actually, though I trust you understand that. 😉
Like you mentioned, seeking treatment is essential. Personally, I always tackle health issues the moment they surface. I don't sit around waiting or ignoring symptoms, because letting things linger can be dangerous. If you don't address a single issue when it arises, it can snowball into ten other problems, leaving you with eleven complications that are far more difficult, or even impossible, to resolve once permanent damage has set in.
As for Primary Care, you find all sorts of people there, just like in any other profession. You have the exceptional ones and the incompetent ones. The most damaging scenario is when a doctor is both unskilled and stingy, trying to save money at the patient's expense by refusing to provide a referral to a specialist. I truly cannot wrap my head around patients who stay with doctors like that and end up either in serious trouble or in the morgue. Fortunately, my GP is O.K.; I go to her, explain what’s happening and which referrals I need, and she never pushes back because she knows I'm right.
Hang in there. 👍

No biggie. Honestly, my anxieties are basically just my daily reality at this point—I deal with them more or less successfully, though some days are definitely harder than others, but hey, it is what it is.
The thing is, I am absolutely terrified of this exam. It’s not even about the pain or discomfort—it's the "what if" factor. What if they find something else entirely besides just hemorrhoids?
I don't have those nasty purple bulges or anything; they're mostly skin-colored. I'm not bleeding, I go once a day, and my movements are pretty much normal size, but man, the constant aching, the burning, and that nagging sensation that something is just going to slip out of my rectum at any second... it's exhausting.
There is this relentless pressure there... I actually went to see my primary care doctor and she took a look. I mean, I assume she knows what she was doing while she was poking around, but she just said she saw one prolapsed hemorrhoid... now, whether my internal ones have migrated outside or what... I have no clue.
Bottom line: my fears are through the roof, the pain is constant, and I am a total nervous wreck.
I've been scrolling through all these private clinics, trying to figure out where to go... because I know I can't just ignore this forever.
So, yeah... fingers crossed I make it through this alive.
