Just relax—stress plays a massive role in how your digestion works!
I’ve personally had days where I end up having a massive blowout five times right before an important meeting or something!
I deal with similar issues too; that itching can be absolutely maddening, but honestly, the more you wash, the worse it gets. Sometimes you just have to tough it out and wait for it to subside on its own.
If it becomes totally unbearable, though, just clean up and apply some Fact or a similar cream.

Either way, getting checked out by a doctor is your best bet!
My mother put off going to the doctor for ages, hiding her pelvic pain from all of us... unfortunately, it turned out to be uterine cancer.

I don't mean to scare anyone, but I truly believe it's better to catch whatever "we" might have early rather than later!
Since I spend my days working in the oncology ward, I know the people on the front lines, and the most critical thing is catching the problem in time.

Chemicals are just part of the modern era; you can't really run away from them.

Sandra Baker35 said:It’s fine. Honestly, my anxieties are just part of my daily routine at this point—something I deal with with varying degrees of success, but that's life.
The main thing is, I am absolutely terrified of this exam. It isn't about physical pain or discomfort; it's the fear that they might uncover something much more serious than just hemorrhoids.
I don't have those purple protrusions; everything looks pretty much skin-colored. There’s no bleeding, and I go once a day with normal consistency, but the constant pain, the burning sensation, and that nagging feeling that something is about to slip out of my rectum is always there.
There is this persistent pressure... I went to see my primary care doctor and she took a look; I assume she knows what she was doing while she was performing the digital exam, and she told me she only saw one prolapsed hemorrhoid... but now, whether my internal ones have shifted outward or what, I honestly have no clue.
Basically, my fears are overwhelming, the pain is constant, and my nerves are shot.
I’ve been looking at private practices, trying to decide where to go... but I know I can't put this off forever.
So... yeah. I just hope I make it through this.

I highly recommend Dr. Cavcic over at Sunce near Trnje. He makes the whole process feel relaxed, and you get the kind of pleasant, informative conversation you actually need during something like this. I'm not entirely sure if he also sees patients at their clinic over by Jarun.

Thanks... I already have two doctors on my shortlist, and now I'm adding this professor to the mix. I think someone else already posted something good about him too... anyway, I’m definitely going to schedule that exam... I've already gone to see my primary doctor for at least part of it, which is honestly a huge step for me—some people don't even bother doing that... so... just gotta pull together a little more nerve and do this. 🤷.

Trust me, you don't need any courage for him; he really is wonderful and kind, and I honestly don't believe there's anyone better at treating patients with compassion than he is.
Back when I was getting my physicals done at Sunce, I decided to book everything as a package deal, knowing full well it was the best chance to handle an exam that most of us dread and avoid at all costs. They make the whole process remarkably smooth for the patient; you aren't just being shuffled along an assembly line like you usually feel in those Medicare outpatient clinics.
He could tell right away that I was nervous since it was my first time, and I didn't try to hide it from him. But seriously, you have nothing to fear. You'll actually get a chance to talk, so ask him every single question on your mind. You just change into those disposable boxers they provide, lie on your side, and that's it—it doesn't hurt, it isn't awkward, and it's over before you know it.
He’ll explain exactly what’s happening, show you what he sees in the manual, and recommend whatever follow-up therapy or treatment you might need.
All in all, the whole thing isn't nearly as unpleasant as having a throat exam where you have to keep saying "ah" 👍

Hey everyone!!! So, someone was just telling me about this AMER tea. You can pick it up over in Mexico, and it costs about $13. Apparently, if you drink it regularly, it really helps dial back those chemical dependencies. I actually believe it contains some of the same herbal ingredients found in Pilex. It’s great for urinary tract health too, but man, does it work wonders for cutting down on meds (the guy who told me about it was dealing with stage four—the absolute worst kind of chemical side effects)

Honestly, people who fall for scams like this are just being naive. Let's be real: chronic hemorrhoids CANNOT be cured by teas, ointments, creams, or any of that nonsense—that's just straight-up lies. Not even with Pilex, if we're being honest here. I mean, come on... how is a swallowed substance going to fix a "half-burst capillary"? It's just wishful thinking. If things have already gone south—if they're large and long-standing—there are really only two ways out: using ointments to stop the growth and strengthen those bumpy capillary walls so they stop bleeding, or... well, surgery.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been dealing with external hemorrhoids. They used to bleed all the time—and man, seeing blood is terrifying! It made me dread even going to the bathroom, which just made everything worse because I'd go days without a movement. I ended up having to drink Bekunis tea just to get things moving. Eventually, I got it under control by eating right. But lately, the whole mess has come back, only this time it feels like internal issues. Any time I deal with constipation, there's blood immediately. And the pain... sometimes it hits out of nowhere, feeling like someone is shoving a knife down there. It’s absolutely disgusting. It runs in my family too, so it's definitely genetic. Every time after a bowel movement, I make sure to clean up and apply some ointment (just using Vaseline) which, let's be honest, helps soothe the stinging and the ache down there. I thought I had it handled again by taking that syrup—I think it's called Balhalac—to clear out my system. But today was different and honestly, I'm a little worried. My stool wasn't hard at all; it was super soft (but not liquid), and the burning sensation during the movement was intense. I had to run to the bathroom three times in two hours, and the stinging is brutal. Last time I wiped, there was blood again... I don't get it. I wasn't even straining, and I haven't eaten anything spicy in the last month. I do skip meals sometimes and I drink a ton of coffee (with milk), though. I'm not really a sweets person—no chocolate or cake for me... What could be causing this?

I have always maintained the perspective that it is far preferable to suffer a ruptured vessel in one's rear than to endure such a catastrophe within the brain. 🙂

Sandra Baker35 said:I'm really curious about what your hemorrhoids actually look like...
Basically, I finally took a good look at my anal area last night, where those lumps are. They aren't red or looking like swollen veins or anything, they just feel more like large subcutaneous pimples... they don't look like an open wound or anything like that... so now I am just incredibly worried????
I always pictured hemorrhoids as these bright red growths, ugh, who knows what I'm actually dealing with here!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there! Steven Booth65, I'm unfortunately dealing with a very similar situation to yours. I've been struggling with hemorrhoids since I had my baby about 20 years ago... things were fine for a few years, but lately (the last year or two), it's been a daily struggle, mostly with the external ones... though there are days (especially during PMS) when both the internal and external ones act up... Sometimes I can push the external one back in, or they just recede on their own without too much pain. But now, for a few months, I've had this one external one that stays put, and like you mentioned, it looks like a large pimple. Sometimes a little bit of something—somewhere between pus and light blood—comes out of it. It doesn't hurt, but it itches like crazy, so even all the various creams and ointments haven't helped much (I've tried Fact, some stuff from Austria, and some herbal ointments, but nothing works)... but now, something else popped up last night, and it's already gotten quite a bit bigger today. It's this thickening under the skin, just above the anal area toward my tailbone... you can actually feel the lump if you touch it, almost like a swelling...!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS??? PLEASE HELP!!!! I'm honestly terrified to go to the doctor👎

Unfortunately, I don't have any clue what that might be, but please, for your own sake, get to a doctor immediately. Don't play games with your health; there's really no reason to be intimidated by medical professionals. The only thing worth being truly afraid of is the potential fallout of ignoring the issue and letting it go untreated.
Fingers crossed for you! 👍

I've been dealing with chronic external hemorrhoids since 2006. It started out with just a single one, but after about a year, two more popped up... so now I'm stuck with three of them all at once.
I tried using Ultraproct ointment, but for this past year, I’ve been switching between a combination of Preparazione-H and Hemopropin. They seem to dull the pain, sure, but they don't actually make them go away. In fact, I have one that keeps turning into this little 5mm sac...
That little sac tends to fill up with blood sometimes—usually after I eat something spicy or have a glass of red wine—and when that happens, it hurts quite a bit.
My diet is pretty heavy on fruits and vegetables, and my bowel movements are usually very regular every morning.
After I go, my anal area swells up quite a bit, though it does settle down after a few hours or so.
I’m starting to lose faith in herbal remedies, so I’ve decided to go through with surgery at the Mayo Clinic on January 18th, 2010.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I've been suffering with these hemorrhoids for three years now and it's driving me absolutely crazy...

I'll just say this: don't count on surgery being a permanent fix (though maybe you can get lucky)... they can come back. I've read plenty about it, and people have told me the same thing. Anyway, good luck.👍

I'm on my third box of Detralex, and the bleeding started again, even though it had actually subsided for a bit...🙄.

My medicine cabinet is getting pretty crowded at this point...😠.

You really ought to cut out the red wine entirely, because the tannins in it tend to harden your stool. Red wine and beer should be off the table. If you absolutely must drink, stick to a little bit of white wine and leave it at that. Otherwise, keep up with all that fruit and vegetable intake.

I am currently 35 years old, and I must say, I have been dealing with the ongoing misery of third-degree hemorrhoids for quite some time now. It’s become a bit of a persistent burden, if I'm being honest. I have been reading up on this relatively new laser surgery option lately, and I was wondering if anyone here might have personal experience with such a procedure? Specifically, I am looking for recommendations on where one could have this done with high quality and professional care, and I would also be very grateful if anyone could share some insight regarding what the typical costs look like these days. Thank you so much.

A few days ago, I dealt with hemorrhoids for the very first time in my life—external ones, about the size of a kidney bean. Oh my god, the pain was absolutely killing me. I tried using Hemopropin, but it didn't do a thing. Then I went to see my doctor, who prescribed some Faktu ointment, but honestly, that didn't help much either. Since I'm pregnant, my doctor says we have to be extra careful about what we use if we want to resolve this quickly.
My sister-in-law suggested that I crush up some Advil and mix it with lard. So, I’ve been diligently following that advice for three days now, sitting in warm baths every evening and applying the mixture. And thank God, the pain has finally subsided! However, that little "kidney bean" hasn't shrunk at all. I was wondering, does the swelling usually go down soon too? Because, ugh, it is just so gross.
