Honestly, reading through all of that is going to be such an exhausting ordeal that one might just end up suffering from some internal distress as well.

I was recently diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids, which is quite a surprise since I had a rectoscopy just a few years ago and everything seemed perfectly fine back then.
Because they discovered these—along with several other much more significant issues during this recent checkup—I didn't even get a chance to have a proper conversation with the doctor about potential medications or treatments.
Now, don't get me wrong, I definitely have health issues, though I honestly can't pinpoint exactly what is causing all of them right now.
Would anyone be willing to share a little bit about their own experiences and symptoms regarding internal hemorrhoids?
I am hoping that by hearing your stories, I might be able to connect the dots and figure out what is actually going on with my own body.

If you're dealing with stage IV hemorrhoids, you really need to look into this:

Radiofrequency ablation (removal) of hemorrhoids is arguably the best treatment available. Unlike the standard surgical procedures you'd find in a hospital setting, this allows for the procedure to be done under epidural anesthesia on an outpatient basis. It results in a much shorter recovery period and
significantly fewer postoperative issues—we're talking about recovering roughly three times faster with about three times less discomfort. This includes a full endoscopic exam $200, followed by the aforementioned treatment $5000.

"Ligation" essentially involves looping a tight, elastic band around those small internal hemorrhoidal lumps within the anal area. After about a week or so, the hemorrhoids should just... drop off. The procedure itself can be pretty uncomfortable for a day or two. It's perfectly normal to see some bleeding right after the bands are placed, but it shouldn't be heavy. If you notice a significant amount of bright red blood or any clots, you really need to head straight to the emergency room at a place like the Mayo Clinic immediately.

Jack Hayes35 said:Radio frequency

Aside from the fact that this is just blatant spam—it honestly feels like a scam trying to sell us snake oil—using the term "radio frequency" basically means: I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. If we’re actually talking about radio waves at specific frequencies, then any wavelength above microwaves doesn't really do anything. And look, microwaves can cook or bake things, sure, but that's a different story altogether...

On top of that, I really wish people would learn how to talk properly about HEMO, and by extension, HEMO-roid issues. Why is the terminology shifting from one post to the next? It's probably just lazy copy-pasting, right?

And seriously, is this the kind of price they pay in Hollywood?? Or did someone forget a decimal point somewhere... Either way, ADMIN, can we get this deleted?!?

Let me contribute a few intelligent 😁

1. The most critical step is obtaining an accurate diagnosis. You must visit a primary care physician or a specialist regardless of how uncomfortable or embarrassing it feels; this is vital because...

2. ...hemorrhoids aren't always the culprit. There are several similar conditions, yet "hemorrhoids" is the catch-all term used by the general public. In reality, you could be dealing with hemorrhoids, an anal fissure, an anal fistula, or perhaps something else entirely.

I am providing a copy-paste excerpt below (since I cannot post links due to advertising rules) just so you can see how easily a misdiagnosis occurs:

Anal Fissure

This proctological condition manifests as a small wound or ulcer on the highly sensitive lining of the anal canal. Because the area is so delicate, the typical symptoms include:

* intense, burning pain in the anal area, which is particularly acute after bowel movements and can persist for hours
* bright red bleeding
* a palpable lump located immediately above the fissure, often referred to as a "sentinel polyp"

The pain and bleeding associated with an anal fissure, combined with the presence of that palpable lump, frequently misleads even medical professionals, who may incorrectly interpret the condition as "inflamed external hemorrhoids." To be clear, those are not hemorrhoids.

I dealt with this for several months. I was convinced I had hemorrhoids, so I applied every ointment imaginable before finally seeing a doctor and then a specialist. As expected, it was my own fault for accepting the wrong diagnosis. It turned out I had an anal fissure and that damn "sentinel polyp," which confused me because it looks exactly like a hemorrhoid.

The surgery was performed at a hospital; it lasted about 20 minutes under general anesthesia, and I was discharged to go home two hours later. A day or two after the procedure, I experienced some minor bleeding while having a shit 😁 but without severe pain—just a slight stinging sensation. I take "Fybogel" every morning and evening (I assume it is available in the US) to regulate my bowel movements and strengthen the anal muscles.

My advice is simple: head straight to a doctor via a referral to a specialist or visit a private clinic. Do not let fear or shame stop you; it isn't worth suffering over something that can be resolved quite quickly.

Oh, I almost forgot... I asked the surgeon what caused my specific issue. He told me bluntly: "A poor lifestyle, bad dietary choices (meaning too much fat, salt, spice, and dried meats, and not enough fruit), alcohol, and cigarettes... all the things we already know damage the body."

Has anyone ever heard of or actually been through the THD method ? I've seen plenty of chatter about it online, but frankly, I don't trust any of it until I hear some real-world experiences from people who have actually dealt with it...

Look,

I've looked up the pricing online (👍), and while it certainly isn't cheap, if it truly means I can skip the anesthesia and avoid those brutal recovery periods, then it might actually be worth the hit to my wallet.

If anyone out there has any intel, please, let me know.

I’ve gone through with my third cauterization procedure, and honestly, the results have been absolutely negligible...😂I have my follow-up appointment scheduled for later this month, and I am just at a complete loss as to what comes next... To be perfectly blunt, it feels like I'm just being jerked around; there is occasional bleeding here and there, but that constant, nagging pain simply refuses to subside. At this point, I don't even have the energy left to be angry about it. I just can't wrap my head around what the actual issue is or why this keeps happening to me...🤷

I'm feeling pretty hypersensitive lately—just everything feels a bit much. says:

Maybe it sounds a little silly to say this after everything, but if I’ve managed to keep them under control for over 30 years—without any bleeding or major drama—then there must be something to my routine. They're still there, obviously; we deal with each other every single day, but we’ve reached a sort of peaceful coexistence! The trick is using the right cream—for me, Proctolyn feels like the best option so far (honestly, that Hadensa stuff just makes things worse!), and I pair it with an equal amount of vein gel—I'm using Herbion at the moment. The goal is twofold: first, you want zero pain, so it feels like they aren't even there, and second, you want to strengthen the walls to prevent any rupturing—well, except in extreme circumstances, of course, but... you really should take care of them! You have to stay on top of all the usual hygiene stuff too—like keeping a pack of oil wipes on hand; they aren't expensive and they last a long time!

Man, external hemorrhoids are just the worst... mine have finally calmed down and the inflammation is gone for now, but it feels like they could flare up again at any second. I’m really hoping to kick this thing for good, even if it's just for a while.

I’m really hoping anyone with experience here can weigh in, because I am honestly freaking out a bit. To be honest, I never officially knew if I had hemorrhoids. I’ve always dealt with irregular bowel movements, and if I did have them, I assumed they were just internal ones—especially since there was never any bleeding. But after being backed up for a few days, I finally went yesterday (after taking some medication), and today, while cleaning myself up, I felt this little lump right at the entrance. It feels like a tiny ball or a bump, though I don't really know what to call it. This is the first time anything like this has happened. Is this actually a hemorrhoid? It’s hurting, too—nothing excruciating, just this dull, nagging ache that keeps throbbing even while I’m sitting here. Please, if anyone knows what this could be, let me know. I just need some clarity.

It's possible it's an external hemorrhoid... I have one myself. Try checking in a mirror; does it look kind of bluish?
Common signs are a slight stinging sensation, discomfort when you're sitting, or occasional itching.
Grab some Hemopropin or Faktu ointment... they help soothe things, but they won't actually cure them. You can't really get rid of them once they're there. You can calm them down so they stop bothering you, but the vein remains. It might disappear tomorrow and then pop back up in three weeks, two years, or ten years—there's no rhyme or reason to it. For me, they flare up every few months. Even now, I eat more juicy foods, cut back on soda, and try to avoid red wine, even though I love it. Red wine is definitely something to steer clear of if you have hemorrhoids; stick to more fruits and veggies instead. You just learn to live with it. I remember being totally shocked when I first found out, but now I just manage it with creams. If they don't stay away for a long time, maybe I'll look into surgery, but even then, there's no guarantee they won't come back. Once you deal with them, things just aren't quite the same.
And hey, tons of people deal with this. Honestly, I haven't met anyone who hasn't had them at some point... so there's that for comfort.

Well, I guess I'm joining the club here too. 😁

So, a few days ago, right after I used the bathroom, I noticed some faint traces of blood. At first, I honestly thought it was just ketchup from something I’d eaten earlier, but then I looked at the paper and realized it was definitely blood—just like when you get a nosebleed. My heart basically sank, and I had no clue what to make of it...
😲
Two days later, I went again, but this time things were harder, and the blood actually dripped into the water, plus more on the paper... it looked exactly like the first time, maybe just a little less volume.

Then today, another bowel movement, but there wasn't much on the paper this time, though I did see a tiny bit of blood in the toilet bowl.

The first time, there was this stinging/burning sensation while I was going, which lasted for a few minutes afterward. The second time, nothing burned, but today it started stinging again. Right now, sitting here, I have this slight discomfort in my anal area—maybe a 4 out of 100 on the scale. A few days back, I felt super bloated, too; I don't even know how to describe it, I just felt like I was "full" of air all the way up to my throat. I've been burping way too much for a few days now.

That burning sensation during bowel movements comes and goes every once in a while, and it's been happening for years, but I've never seen any blood before.

I saw a doctor yesterday, and she did a digital exam 😁 in the anus and told me I don't have hemorrhoids, but on the referral for a vascular surgeon, she wrote something like "no hemorrhoids + bla bla fissure" (or something like that).

About two or three weeks ago, I had some blood and urine tests done—totally unrelated to this—and my bloodwork was fine, though there was some calcium oxalate and amorphous urates in my urine. Also, a few years back, I had surgery for a varicocele (that dilated vein on the left side of the abdomen leading down to the left testicle).

I spend a lot of time sitting down and I eat pretty much whatever. I've put on about 13-15 pounds in the last few months, though I wouldn't say I'm fat, and I'll be turning 21 in a few months.

Is this just hemorrhoids or something else? Has anyone else dealt with anything similar?
🙄

I’m dealing with the exact same thing right now after all the holiday overindulgence and heavy meals, though I’m not seeing any blood!
I feel bloated as hell, and my gas is out of control every single night—it’s been going on for about a week now.
My bowel movements are weirdly soft, kind of fragmented, and sometimes the volume is low. I get occasional stinging around the opening, and besides that, I get this pain on the left side of my abdomen, somewhere near the navel.😢
Back when I was seven or eight months ago, I saw a proctologist. He did the whole 🙄 routine and said the rectal ampulla was empty and my stool was normal. He did find one external hemorrhoid, about half a centimeter at the 5 o'clock position, which is why I went in.

Since then, I’ve survived a massive amount of stress, and it looks like my gut is totally punishing me for it.😕
It really gets to me mentally when I can't just go like I'm supposed to.
The itching was pretty constant during the warmer weather, and occasionally pops up now in the winter too, but usually only after I eat something spicy.

Anyone else going through this?
I have another follow-up with the proctologist in two months, God willing. There’s a history of cancer in my family, but then again, I’m only 24.

My doctor sent me over to a vascular surgeon and just wrote down hemorrhoids plus a fissure... is that really all there is to it?
Ugh. For the last few days I've been feeling a bit nauseous too, and sometimes everything just starts spinning...

Man, I really hate to be the one to scare you, but there's a chance it might NOT be hemorrhoids—it could actually be a perianal abscess. Seriously, though, you should probably get to a doctor ASAP. If it is an abscess, that’s an urgent surgical situation, kind of like a burst appendix. If an abscess gets too bad, it can spread or even lead to sepsis, which is no joke. So yeah, definitely head to the doctor quickly! Don't panic, though; everything will likely turn out fine. They'll probably send you home an hour or two after the procedure. Just a heads-up, you'll need to go on an empty stomach because they'll have to put you under with general anesthesia for this kind of thing... But seriously, stay brave. I'm crossing my fingers for you! 👍

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that's it. I know what internal hemorrhoids feel like; sometimes after I use the bathroom and wash up, I can feel them bulge out and then slide back in on their own. I think that's what happened here. It popped out, hurt for a bit, and now it's gone.

And then they probably are indeed HEMO products😁You can find suppositories at any local pharmacy, so just go ahead and pick some up, because if the issue is internal, there isn't much point in just applying ointments all over the outside when the actual problem is deeper inside... So, suppositories...🙂
