hmm, so what kind of sugar is actually in that Vindija Gatorade... or whatever the hell it's called again?

just saw a post from Nathan Collins2:

Nathan Collins2 said:I naturally have low blood pressure, and whenever I drink more than a liter of water, my pressure drops fast because I'm losing way too much potassium through urination.

Look, losing potassium when you pee isn't gonna drop your blood pressure—it’ll just make you feel like crap. Maybe you're actually losing too much sodium, which is what's actually tanking your pressure...

Back to the soup topic for a second...

I spotted an entire book dedicated just to that chicken noodle soup recipe at the local bookstore😲

It mentions certain foods and drinks to include that we haven't even touched on here...

Has anyone come across this book?

For instance, it suggests protein shakes twice a day, plus various vitamin drinks... there's basically a whole philosophy behind it...

It’s a nice little book, costs about $43...

Look, there’s no such thing as foods that actually burn fat—it's total nonsense... but hey, you can find just about any kind of garbage written as gospel in those ridiculous self-help books for $43 😁

To Gatorade smells and tastes a bit too much like Charlie's laundry detergent for my liking, and I've got a nagging feeling it's just loaded with sugar, too.

Honestly, I just stick to water. None of that processed junk. And don't even get me started on Tang—it's basically liquid poison if you ask me. 👎
Water is really all you need, and I drink a ton of it. I actually managed to drop 12 pounds just by focusing on my water intake, hitting the pavement for runs, and sticking to a good chicken noodle soup recipe. 👍
In fact, my mom is actually whipping up the next batch of soup for me right now. 😁

Losing potassium through urination isn't going to lower your blood pressure; it'll just mess up your kids. If your pressure is dropping, you're probably losing too much sodium.

Thanks for the info. It's the sodium then. I always get my K and Na mixed up, honestly.😁
The label says it uses artificial sweeteners like aspartame and acesulfame k.
It’s not even that high in calories (compared to all those other drinks from Vindija😕); a 330ml bottle is only about 72 calories. According to the packaging, having two a day is enough to meet the average person's daily mineral and vitamin needs.😁

Anyway, it gets me through these days. I love the grapefruit flavor. Sure, it's a carbonated drink, but I don't care. After years of struggling with sweating, heat, and low blood pressure, I finally found something that actually helps. My doctor was the one who suggested isotonic drinks in the first place. He can't wrap his head around how I stay on my feet when my blood pressure easily dips down to 86/52.
By the way, Vindija's Gatorade is officially the drink of our national soccer team.😬 Not that there's much to brag about since they play catastrophically,😬 but I'm certain the national team wouldn't be "sponsoring" it if it wasn't actually good.

Since this chicken noodle soup recipe is usually something people whip up in the spring—just to help the body reset and clear out all those little toxins we tend to accumulate over the years—it’s also a great little tool when you're trying to shed a few pounds. I always find that bit of seasonal cleansing helps me feel a bit more balanced, you know? Anyway, I was just wondering... have any of you made your batch yet? 😬 I actually spent some time yesterday simmering a big pot on the stove, so I’ve got enough tucked away in the fridge to last me through the whole week 😁 😁.

My sister and I had this whole plan to tackle making some homemade chicken noodle soup together this week—but honestly, I rolled in from my trip so late last night that I’m already feeling the burnout. Between the travel fatigue and eating nothing but junk on the road, I feel like I'm one step away from a total meltdown just from being hungry. 😁
I suspect we might have to push the soup idea back a bit until there's actually a decent variety of fruits and veggies available at the grocery store (you know, for those specific days when you're pairing them with the soup).

I honestly think that chicken noodle soup recipe is fantastic—it's the perfect little prelude before the main course arrives. There is absolutely no way I'd be sitting here eating nothing but soup all day long!

I usually toss in a bit of tomato sauce and some peppers just to give it a little extra kick. 😁 😁 Honestly, I don't think I could survive an entire day living off nothing but soup; I always make sure to snack on plenty of fruit and grab a vanilla protein shake to keep me going. 😁 😁 Between my track workouts and swimming, if I tried to stick to just soup, I’m pretty sure I’d pass out mid-lap. 😁

You all have really worked up my appetite... I think I might just whip myself up a warm chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. 🙂

If you whip up a batch this way in a big seven-quart Dutch oven, you’ll have enough for the whole week. 😁 😁
I think I'm actually going to tuck into some tonight once I finally get back home. 🙂 😁

As for me, I think I'll just dive into some tonight once I finally make it through the door 🙂 😁

I've only got one of those tiny little 2-quart pots lying around. Honestly, that's enough for maybe three days tops, since I usually just grab lunch at the college dining hall anyway.

Eating in the cafeteria, then Josh serves up some chicken noodle soup?

Man, if that's how it works, sign me up for that diet.😉😁

I just went back and scrolled through this entire thread plus my own old posts from a year ago.

Man, screw that soup. 😠

I swear, I’ve probably lost 220 pounds eating it and then gained all 220 right back again. 😁
That stuff is really only good if you want to eat it for maybe two days straight after Christmas or Easter.

I think there's gotta be a better way to go about this—I'm actually getting some sushi rolls for my birthday instead. 🎉 🎉

So, I usually have this chicken noodle soup for breakfast before heading out for my morning swim or a run. Honestly, it’s such a lifesaver if you're looking to detox or if you're trying to drop a few pounds. 😁 I don't even just stick to the soup itself; I'll pair it with some grilled chicken breast and then go absolutely ham on a huge spread of fresh fruit. 😁 😁

I’ve got this nagging little hunch that this is gonna be the main thing everyone fights about in future debates...

Oh man, if only my life were that simple—I’d jump on that diet in a heartbeat! 😉😁

But let's get one thing straight: I am NOT on a diet. Honestly, that would just be the cherry on top of my misery. I feel like I'm perpetually starving anyway! 😁
Just yesterday, I actually had the willpower to skip a decadent chocolate cake for dessert and settled for an apple instead. 😢
