I’m leaning toward the idea that it all comes down to the celery acting as a diuretic, which essentially means this diet is just causing you to shed a massive amount of water weight rather than actual fat.

Wait, what? I've seriously never heard of this "negative calorie intake" thing before...😕 😕 😕

Basically, you end up burning more calories just trying to digest the fiber than what you actually get from eating it.

The chicken noodle soup recipe is finally ready. Honestly, it smells absolutely wonderful—it doesn't have that weird scent some people warned me about. I’m planning to try it for the first time once I get back home later today. Of course, I'll probably head out for a quick run first, then sit down to eat. 😁

Is this whole "loop" thing supposed to be red or white? I honestly have no clue what kind of "loop" we're even talking about here...

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

Michael Fox46 thanks you for clearing that up.

The chicken noodle soup recipe calls for onions.😁 😉

I’ve been eating this soup for three days now—haven't lost a single pound. I suppose it's because I'm cheating😁 , though I wouldn't say I cheat much—just the occasional cookie or snack here and there.😁

Oh please, ladies... I can't believe some of you actually buy into this!
The soup is fine, sure. It feels healthy. But there is absolutely no way it should be your entire weight loss strategy, even if you're using it for a day or two to just... reset the system.
To actually lose weight properly, our bodies need roughly 1000-1200 calories a day, spread out through meals containing carbs and proteins (plus fats, vitamins, minerals, etc.). You aren't going to get the energy you need from just soup to actually function day-to-day, let alone keep up with a workout routine.

Seven days to lose seven pounds? Please. Losing about one pound a week is the sweet spot if you want to actually keep it off. This kind of rapid dropping is just begging for that yo-yo effect...
Personally, I think the soup makes an excellent single meal—maybe for dinner, for example!

I wouldn't waste my time trying to hit 7—I’d settle for a 2 if I'm being honest!
The thing is, when I actually commit to a specific "regimen," it's way easier to stick to it. Just winging it and making up random rules on the fly? Not my style.
And honestly, it sounds pretty unhealthy (don't quote me on that "healthy" part, though).
But hey, hope dies last, right?😁

I usually pair my chicken noodle soup with a little something extra. I’ll have a solid breakfast, then I just call it a day after 5 PM—it’s worked wonders since I've already dropped 10 pounds. Of course, I also make sure to get out there for a 3-mile run every single morning. 😁
So, here's my routine: I'll have a bowl of soup, two pieces of toast, some juice, and a side salad, followed by a light stroll and then my run. It’s a guaranteed way to watch those 5 pounds slip off. 😁

Now, look, a chicken noodle soup recipe can be perfectly fine—it feels healthy and all—but there is absolutely no way it should be your entire weight loss foundation. Sure, maybe use it for a day or two if you feel like you need a little internal reset.
But listen, our bodies generally need somewhere around 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day to lose weight safely, and those calories really need to be balanced out with carbs, proteins, plus your fats, vitamins, and minerals. You just aren't going to get the fuel required to actually function day-to-day, let alone keep up with a workout routine, from just soup.

Losing 7 pounds in 7 days? Honestly, aiming for about 1 pound a week is the sweet spot if you want to actually keep it off. This kind of rapid dropping is just asking for that yo-yo effect!
Personally, I think soup makes an excellent single meal—maybe just for dinner!

Well, if you're only eating it for dinner, then that isn't necessarily bad, right? Is it against the rules to eat after 6:00 PM? There are actually people out there who have dropped 20 or even 30 pounds just on soup. I personally have it every single day, but I always pair it with other foods in small portions. It keeps me steady. I managed to drop 5 pounds—I went from 175 down to 165. Even though the scale moved, I don't think it's super obvious visually.😁

Michael Fox46 said:Look, you’re basically saying you could eat it for dinner, which isn't exactly against the rules... unless you think you aren't allowed to eat after 6 PM? Some people have dropped 20 or even 30 pounds just by having soup for lunch. Personally, I have it every single day, though I still eat other stuff—just in smaller portions and bits and pieces. It helped me drop 10 pounds; I went from 175 down to 165. Honestly, though... I don't think it's even obvious that I lost the weight...😁

The soup itself doesn't make you lose weight (since it still has calories), it’s more about the fact that you're eating less overall. The soup just helps because it's light and fills up your stomach...
And honestly, you can eat whenever you want and however you want. Just look up the calorie counts for whatever you're planning and build your meals around that. For example: breakfast is a slice of toast, some tea, and fruit; lunch is... I don't know; maybe some soup with boiled chicken and a salad; then dinner is cottage cheese, hard-boiled eggs, or hot dogs. Timing won't make or break your weight loss...
I have no problem eating at 10 PM and not gaining a pound. The key for me is not wrecking my metabolism. I don't starve myself all day just to gorge later; I just try to "maintain" things steadily throughout the day...

And honestly, you can eat whenever you want and however you like; just check the calorie counts for different foods and build your meals around that. For instance, breakfast could be a slice of toast, some tea, and fruit. Lunch? I don't know, maybe some soup and boiled chicken with a salad. Dinner could be cottage cheese, boiled eggs, or even hot dogs. Timing isn't going to make or break your weight loss.
I have no problem grabbing a snack at 10 PM and I don't put on any weight. My main goal is just not to shock my metabolism. I try not to starve myself during the day only to overstuff myself at night; I prefer to just "maintain" things steadily throughout the day.

Well, personally, I’ll grab a ciabatta sandwich with seeds around 9 AM, then maybe an apple a little later, and when I get home, I have a normal-sized lunch before heading out for a run. Oh man, it's true though... I used to do this thing where I wouldn't eat for two days straight, and then on the third day, I'd order a massive pizza and I practically felt like I was dying from how much my stomach hurt.🙂
In my experience, it really all comes down to staying active, because there's no way you can eat 500 calories and only burn off 150. All I know is that I run every single day and I'm seeing the results. Just so we're clear, I lost 5 pounds in two weeks, and I drink plenty of water—though, again, I try not to go overboard. 😁

It's a bouillon cube. 😁 Look, sorry, I was the one translating, so I took some liberties with it—basically just writing it phonetically. 😂

Bouillon = bouillon.

I really hope I don't end up feeling like I did during that awful Atkins diet... I didn't even mention how dizzy I felt or how much my head was spinning, and honestly, I just had zero energy left in me...

I got this chicken noodle soup recipe from a nurse about a year ago.
It’s a bit bland, but the best part is you can whip up a massive batch that lasts the whole week.
I paired it with all sorts of steamed veggies—nothing with heavy sauces or breading.
I also had chicken, turkey, or fish with brown rice, plus a green salad every other day and two slices of whole grain bread daily.
I stuck to one cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening, using 1% milk.
I ate five small meals a day and always had an apple with the skin on before lunch.
That routine helped me drop 45 pounds and brought my cholesterol down.

This soup isn't just for dieting; it's actually great for detoxing your system.👍

I paired it with everything—just steamed veggies (no heavy flour or butter thickeners),
chicken, turkey, or fish with brown rice, and then green salad every other day along with two slices of rye bread daily.
I just had one cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening, using 1% milk.
I stuck to five meals a day and always ate an unpeeled apple before lunch.
That’s how I dropped 45 pounds and got my cholesterol levels down.

Hi hi Nepto,
There is no way you dropped 45 pounds eating that soup plus all those side dishes! You didn't even mention how long it actually took you to lose all that weight. I bet you look—or looked—like skin and bones right now. Zagorka says she lost weight too, but at least she's still mostly there. 😉

When you're losing weight, you really have to track both the scale and your measurements,
but if someone is around 185 pounds, the scale doesn't tell the whole story. You definitely notice the difference in inches more clearly.

**For example, a guy with a bit of a gut might drop 10 pounds and see about 2 inches come off his waist. If he drops 20 pounds, that could be closer to 4 inches.
The way clothes fit tells you much more than the scale ever will.

🙂 😉 😎

Richard Booth35, give my best to Zagorka 😁
I wouldn't even be dieting if my doctor hadn't flagged my cholesterol.
When she handed me that list of "allowed" foods, I was totally revolted.😉 Not a single mention of cheesecake, chocolate, or BBQ ribs...
I read through everything until it finally clicked—though it took me a bit longer than most—that I just had to cut back on calories and tighten things up!
Since fatty and sugary foods are basically calorie bombs, I cut them out.
Luckily, I love green salad, so devouring a huge bowl every second day was easy. The most important part of this whole thing is that I actually ate real food; I refused to starve myself because that’s just not how I roll.
At my checkup, the doctor asked if I could write down what I eat so she can share it with other patients who need to lose a few pounds.😁
I'm treating myself a little now 😉 since I need to celebrate, but as soon as that fresh seasonal produce hits the stands, I'm right back at it.

For the first time in nine days, I woke up feeling absolutely famished and nursing a massive headache. When I mentioned it to Zagorka, she didn't waste any time—she went straight to making me some oatmeal with soy milk and strawberries. Man, let me tell you, that was easily the best breakfast I've had in nine days of fasting. And here’s the kicker: those five or six pounds I dropped during that initial five-to-six-day stretch? That’s literally all I lost. After that, the scale didn't budge a single gram.
Gary Watson4, you probably have no clue what I'm talking about. See, Zagorka and I have been doing this Hollywood diet thing—you know, the one with just Maple Syrup, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. In the beginning, I was dropping about two pounds a day, but after that? Even though we aren't eating anything—literally nothing—the weight loss just stopped dead. Does anyone have a clue why that happens?
Seriously, what you're saying is spot on; if a person actually wants to stay healthy, they really need to focus on moderation.

P.S. Zagorka sends her best.

Respect, Jamie Clark74,
You’re totally right about that. But wait, does Maple even grow in Australia? Isn't Maple actually a maple tree? You know, the kind of tree where you see the leaf on the US flag.
