It pisses me off that you got to see it before I did.

To movie was nothing special, hand on heart.
The stunts didn't move me at all.
The plot failed to grab my attention.
The score left me cold too.
The acting? Forget about it.

Tarantino definitely has better stuff out there.
Maybe it’s just because I’ve seen it all before, but it honestly just left me feeling empty.

Still, I suppose I’ll watch the sequel.😁

And seriously, what kind of ***** people decide to split a story like this? Just to squeeze more money out of us? It seems like splitting movies into sequels is becoming some sort of trend lately. 😠

Now I have to wait, and when the next one finally drops, I’ll either have to refresh my memory or rewatch the first part—and frankly, I don't feel like doing that.

I'm not exactly a huge fan of sequels either... Honestly, they should have just released this as one single movie. From what I hear, each part is only about ninety minutes long, so sitting through three hours straight isn't even that big of a commitment... Though, I guess it makes them more money that way.🙂

I don't think Quentin is capable of making a bad movie. At his absolute worst, he still delivers something "very good." (Just look at Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs for proof)

I caught a screening this past Friday. The premiere was held over in Cleveland.
The movie is excellent—genuinely fun, packed with sharp dialogue, and serves as yet another reminder of why I’m such a fan of Tarantino and his previous three films.🙂
It’s the banter, the sarcasm, and that specific brand of low-stakes humor that works so well; it’s irreverent without ever feeling forced or over-the-top.
There is one standout animated sequence, along with a few clever black-and-white interludes.
As per usual, the soundtrack fits the vibe perfectly.
The ending is engineered in a way that makes a sequel feel absolutely mandatory.
Honestly, the film is 👍

I caught a preview of Forspän on NPR earlier today. Fingers crossed it actually hits theaters next week.

A buddy of mine was just telling me how much of a mess this whole thing is. If you're talking about him as a director, then he didn't actually direct From Dusk Till Dawn.

I have never in my life scrutinized a film quite like I did with "Kill Bill." It is possible this stems from the fact that I am not exactly one of those fans obsessed with the recent love affair with trilogies and various Lords of the Matrix... Which leads me to my next point: Quentin copies The Matrix... I think a bigger load of nonsense hasn't been uttered since that agent rejected Marilyn Monroe, suggesting she stick to housework... Anyone with even a modicum of knowledge knows that "Kill Bill" is just a tribute to martial arts films and actually relies on Japanese-Chinese fantasies involving choreographed matches and One man (or Woman, if feminists want to complain) Standing; all these stories about being in a coma and then fighting like crazy aren't logical: Nelogichne. Besides, one should probably take a moment to consider Tarantino's filmography and see what he actually directed versus what he just wrote or produced.

Try searching the list for a Kill Bill link and THEN you'll see how many wallpapers you can actually find. It’s honestly a sad state of affairs that I consistently find much better and higher quality movie stills on this site than I ever do on official studio websites. But hey, at least there's the silver lining that I can actually find them somewhere!

Is there any truth to the idea that the movie actually keeps going even after the final big climax rolls? I remember Harry Knowles mentioning something along those lines in his very first review over at AITCN. He was insisting that it isn't just some teaser or a preview for a sequel, but rather an actual epilogue to part one "that completely changes how you view everything you just saw."

I can't help but wonder, though—was he actually watching the standard theatrical release, or did he perhaps catch some different version?

I was watching it on an old DivX file and the beginning was totally cut off, so I'm not sure if that part even exists in the full version. If it does, does anyone know where I can find a decent download online?

Enough with this idea that Tarantino can't make a bad movie.

Jackie Brown (if I recall correctly) is a perfect example of a mediocre film.

The whole epilogue thing feels like one of those cheesy Mexican soap operas where Cristiano Ronaldo suddenly finds out he has a long-lost twin brother—just being hyperbolic here, obviously.
And honestly, it doesn't play after the credits, because let's be real, half the audience would have already cleared out of the theater by then.
I won't get too deep into the weeds with spoilers.

But man, it is such high-quality kitsch.
