It was pretty depressing watching the news earlier—apparently, they haven't even paid the actors yet. 🤣

Navajo is going to sue them.

I went to see it this past Thursday because it's absolutely worth the ticket price

The Witcher basically handed us the first real female vampire protagonist in the history of the entertainment industry.
That's a massive plus in my book...

What exactly is a striga? In Polish folklore, we see this creature described as a woman who has been twisted into a monster through the weight of a curse, leaving her consumed by a singular, driving hatred for every living thing she encounters. Is there anything more tragic than a soul transformed so completely by malice?

If we happen to interpret this description as a curse—and given how close we are to the reality of marriage, that might actually be a fair assessment—it feels less like a warning and more like a direct portrait of my mother-in-law. ☕

🤣

I saw my own reflection in Yennefer before she ever underwent that transformation
It’s honestly the most unsettling part when you look at her mother and realize that one day, this is what mine will look like. Or at least, something very close to it...

Look, I don't want to be judged too harshly here—and besides, just in case she or her agents happen to be lurking on this forum, I wasn't actually referring to my own family, but rather to the typical American household dynamic ☕

Since we're already on a roll here, I have another Netflix recommendation for you all
Unbelievable. If anyone actually felt moved by When They See Us, you'll probably find this one just as impactful

From what I can gather, there’s quite a significant amount of time passing throughout the series, which would explain why they look older despite everything. Both her and Geralt of Rivia seem to show it. Still, she carries herself with the air of a young girl.

Personally? It’s just bad casting for me. Even if the show establishes she's over 100, she still looks like she's playing a teenager. Yennefer needs to actually look like a grown woman.

Kate Beckinsale would've been a killer choice.

Haven't seen a verbal massacre on live TV like that in forever. 🤣 🙏

Been scrolling through the reactions all day.

The best part is everyone gasping and acting outraged the second they mention Weinstein. Such hypocrites.

His series After Life is easily the best sitcom I've seen in ages.

The guy is just too good. I found myself laughing and crying within twenty minutes.

If you ask me, everything he’s put out since his time on The Office feels like a massive step backward.

Everything he touches turns to gold.

Absolute legend.

Just give this show a shot.
It’s only six twenty-minute episodes—hardly a huge commitment, right? 😁

Just an idiot working overseas. He stays behind the scenes and you occasionally hear him on the phone, but honestly, the guy is gold.

+1

The only thing that really touches that level of quality is Extras; everything else just feels noticeably weaker.

Honestly, he was at his absolute best when he first took over the Globe. Back then, he hadn't even learned how to be embarrassed yet, and since the stars didn't know him, they were all just completely blindsided by him. Now? They've all gotten used to his antics, and even for him, those old outbursts of temper and sheer rudeness only pop up every once in a while.

I wouldn't call myself much of a TV junkie... I mean, I did get a little hooked on USA, but that’s about it. It’s rare for those Scandinavian creators to miss the mark, though.

Thanks for the recommendation! Just finished the first episode, and man, it’s fantastic. 🙂

Personally, I think Extras is his best work. It’s a total chaotic masterpiece—honestly, better than The Office in my book.
