This really gets to the heart of the matter
A crisis is exactly what the state needs if it ever wants to feel useful to its citizens again...

So, we have people following the rules by staying home in isolation and quarantine, while those who claim to be self-isolating—or even those with a confirmed diagnosis—just wander around freely without any oversight whatsoever?

Fantastic.☕

Let’s just sit back and wait for the ruling party's apologists to show up and try to defend this line of reasoning too

Don't let envy and jealousy toward the ruling party's popularity be what defines you, colleague. ☕

Based on the behavior described, it’s pretty clear we’re dealing with people who have lost their grip on reality.

The situation is simple: anyone infected has to be kept under strict supervision. We can't afford to play games by just trusting people to stay home. Why take that kind of risk?
Whether we’re talking about microchipping or some high-tech bracelet, it really doesn't matter. The bottom line remains the same: we simply have to keep those who are infected under control.

This Capak guy is seriously starting to get on my last nerve, just constantly talking nonsense. He’d better just hit the factory reset button on himself soon, because we aren't living in North Korea.

And, with great optimism, let's hope that window of opportunity hasn't already vanished into thin air about 15 days ago.

🙏

That PR campaign was executed incredibly well—honestly, even by global standards! They’re going to come out of this looking stronger than ever.

But man, talk about brainwashing! It feels like they're trying to convince us everything is being handled perfectly and right on schedule. You get this impression of a happy, healthy nation that's totally safe because we're physically and geographically isolated, while in reality, people who are actually infected are just wandering around gas stations🙏. Every single high-profile case you hear about on the ground completely contradicts the daily mantras being blasted through the media and the newspapers. And where is the support? There’s almost zero help being given to those testing positive or folks stuck in self-isolation. Honestly, you have to wonder if those two people at the gas station weren't just losing their minds a little bit.🤷.

Did we set up a sniper near the point at Murter?

Can't move without a sniper.

The emergency task force has shut down absolutely everything. There’s nothing left in this country. If you want to drive to another city for a funeral, you can't go without some official stamp. Want to leave the country? Not happening. Thinking about hitting the grocery store at 7 PM? Forget it. Trying to pay bills at the post office? No mask, no entry. You want to fly into the US from _______ without being quarantined? Impossible (unless you're coming from Belgium, ha ha).

And then that same damn task force tells us not to call 911 or anything unless it's an absolute emergency. They’ve basically created a situation where it looks like people are dropping like flies on every street corner, yet they tell you not to call unless you're literally dying.

Congrats.

I don't think you guys realize that the number of people told to self-isolate is hitting the hundreds, if not thousands. Take my friend for example—she got hit with that order just because some guy at her office tested positive for Corona. It’s not like she traveled anywhere or came from out of nowhere; the guy just mentioned where he’d been and who he’d seen, and suddenly everyone in his orbit is supposed to lock themselves down. Given that most of the police force is tied up at the US border trying to manage migrant entry and dealing with all that EU funding pressure, it's pretty naive to think the cops can actually track every single person moving around.

And shouldn't we start by making sure the sick stay in the hospital? We can deal with self-isolation later on!

I think Beroš mentioned yesterday or the day before that there are about 13,000 people under self-isolation orders. Of course, monitoring that 24/7 is a nightmare—but look, just deploy 300 cops or soldiers to patrol the streets and check in on them throughout the day. Or hire private security; plenty of them are probably out of work right now, and there are tons of them available... Most of these folks are in Chicago, which is the most densely populated area anyway, so you can hit more houses in less time. You won't have total control every single second, but once people realize someone could show up at any moment to check on them, they'll think twice before stepping foot outside.

But no, we’re going with phone tracking instead—because clearly, your phone is basically glued to your leg, so you can't exactly leave it at home.🤦

Welcome to a totalitarian regime being bolstered by your neighbors, all because of a single death since this infamous virus appeared in our country.
Get ready for ten more years of crisis and political theater—a cycle of endless excuses and fresh impositions.
Ten years of misery, all triggered by ten people on ventilators.

Speed cameras everywhere on the roads.
Passes required just to move around.

Through all of this, what baffles me most are the people here whom I actually thought possessed some level of common sense and critical thinking skills.
The people who blindly support every single one of these measures, calling for even more draconian restrictions and absurd $30,000 fines just for moving without a permit.
In a country where those you unthinkingly defend are letting people infected with this new plague pump gas at an ExxonMobil station...

Exactly. This whole mobile tracking thing is pure idiocy, especially once word gets out that they're monitoring phones.
On top of that, a huge number of people (myself included) use prepaid cards, so the authorities don't even know who the actual owner is.
A completely senseless measure.

If they really want to track people, they should just give those ordered into isolation an electronic bracelet and call it a day.
Whatever method they choose, it has to actually work... and tracking cell phones isn't the answer.

I don't buy into conspiracy theories... It's just a wrong address.
I honestly think we're looking at pure stupidity here.

It’s the same way in every country.
In all of them, the leadership publicly denounces irresponsible individuals and then follows up by threatening even stricter measures.

Probably some sort of directive.

It isn't about whether you "believe" or not.

You have to look at things case by case.

Starting with the US Soccer association.
There are no privileged players there, and people call that a conspiracy theory?

So, who's actually behind this—is it Anthony Jackson2, Papi, or LikVz? Or maybe it's just restlesssurfer97 playing around... could be...
