Man, you totally screwed yourself there—I can't even locate yours! Guess it looks pretty smart now that you didn't switch to a smartphone.

I’ve got a smartphone now. You should probably grab one too, just for some peace of mind. ☕

Usually, getting two negative tests spaced out by 48 hours was enough to say someone was in the clear, but Mark says that once the infection numbers start climbing again, that rule isn't going to cut it anymore. He’s basically saying the virus can hang out in your nose for up to 25 days, so you really need to stay in self-isolation for about 28 days from the moment you're diagnosed just to be sure you aren't a carrier, and after those 28 days are up, everyone just assumes you're healthy.

Oh my gosh, Alice, I know it's not your job to handle all the procurement stuff, but honestly, if we still don't have enough tests after a whole month, it's just straight-up embarrassing.
I mean, look at how the Germans are pulling off 500,000 tests a week, or how the Britons went out and bought 3.5 million tests, or even that German company cranking out a million tests every single week and selling them for just 1.60 bucks—it's wild, but here we are deciding to just force people into isolation for 28 days because it's apparently cheaper than actually testing them a few extra times.

🤦

Germany might actually start letting people who have antibodies get passes to skip quarantine

So that's the deal, I guess we're finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel 👋

It honestly looks like the Germans have been keeping an eye on Reddit and my old posts, yawn, it really is nice being a visionary sometimes. ☕

Good grief, I can only begin to imagine a scenario where the bars and restaurants are actually running normally for those just trying to survive 🤣

The possibilities for chaos are endless—everything from intentional infections and falsified test results to cold-blooded murders fueled by pure jealousy 🙏

Look, it’s really about the math here—what if it turns out that, on top of everyone currently sick, there are actually five times as many people who already cruised through it without even feeling a thing?
That is a totally plausible outcome from doing massive testing, and honestly, it would completely flip the script on how we view this pandemic and our whole strategy for fighting it.
And don't even get me started on all the other benefits, there's a mountain of them.

As for any kind of restrictions for people who are immune, that's basically irrelevant at this point.

I honestly think if you gave every household in Germany one of those little handheld devices—you know, like the ones people use to check their blood sugar—and had everyone test themselves every single morning, we could wrap this epidemic up in no time at all.

If anyone thinks this idea is going way too far, they seriously need to just look around and pay attention to what’s actually happening in the world right now.
We desperately need a total game changer like this to pull us back from the edge of the global depression we're heading straight toward.

Have you all read Animal Farm?
The more I look at everything happening lately, the more it feels like we're watching that exact kind of transformation unfold right before our eyes.
I can't help but wonder, though... in a world where you see Napoleon on every single street corner, who could possibly step up to be Snowball?

What a pandemic. What the hell... they’re just absolutely wrecking people on the roads at this point.

They’ve actually started the media blitz for that new agency tasked with issuing permits. About time, honestly. 🙏

Well boss, who else would they be working for if not the survivors?

By some twist of fate, if you recall what I posted not too long ago, I actually got caught up in this mess. I ended up getting a dog for my apartment right after the earthquake.🤣

So you're saying you were against getting the dog, but your wife was all in.

Wise move. You really have to stock up on a variety of food supplies for when things go south.

I’m hearing rumors today that the government might temporarily suspend the Building Code and Public Procurement Act just to speed up rebuilding apartment complexes hit by the earthquake.

Why bother following the rules—or even adjusting them—when you can just work under the table? 👋 🤦

Typical government move. 🙏

I’ve gotta say, seeing all those old buildings downtown in Washington, D.C. finally getting renovated is making me seriously stoked 🤣

Man, there are so many complicated questions tied up in this whole thing, but I’m not even gonna go there because I know people will just start coming for me immediately... 🤣

So, they’ve finally come up with a "solution." Apparently, the plan is to offer residents of those downtown buildings marked for demolition some alternative property somewhere else. Is that really supposed to satisfy anyone?
It’s going to happen—one garage and one mall at a time. Just like that.
If it weren't for the earthquake, those obnoxious tenants in the city center would still be there, wouldn't they?
