As long as there's funding, there's music.

I suppose the silver lining here is that the government might finally be forced to stop wasting money on all sorts of nonsense; I was just reading that the fighter jet purchase has been called off.

Honestly, let the whole thing just burn to the ground and start over from scratch.

Even if we strike it lucky and actually survive these endless crises, once the entire monetary system collapses and we're forced to live out some crazy Star Trek timeline...☕

I'm all for it. We honestly just need one decent war to kickstart everything.☕

I can totally see Greta Thunberg leading one of the factions.

Is it just me, or is this whole wave of hospital donations lately just straight-up insulting? Like, are we collectively losing our minds here? It’s like taxes and payroll deductions don't even exist—every single month, several hundred bucks just vanish from my paycheck into "donations," and then they have the nerve to ask us to chip in more because hospitals "need this" or "need that." Look, kid, if you're going to strip away my withholdings, just hand me that cash directly. Then, if I actually need medical help, I'll go to a private clinic myself instead of throwing money into a total black hole.

Man, honestly? Just leave them alone about the donations. Seriously. Every time I see people calling out athletes online to pitch in, I just think—hey, why don't *you* donate? Based on their monthly salaries, they’re already paying enough in taxes to cover what most of us here struggle to pay in several years combined. But sure, because they have the money, they should just hand it over too. What a joke.

Soccer players are basically just businessmen, so they don't really have "salaries" in the traditional sense.
And honestly, I actually agree that they should donate. The longer this situation drags on, the more money they'll lose anyway. Plus, there's some basic logic here: if you have more than you need, you share it when things get rough.

Besides, it's called a donation for a reason—it's supposed to be voluntary. If you're forced to give, it isn't a donation. We already pay our fair share through taxes and all sorts of fees, so there shouldn't even be a concept of "donations" for anything else.

Don't get worked up, ruggedjackal46, we all know you're a good person deep down... ☕

And another thing—these Crisis Headquarters love to talk a big game about "public health," but honestly, what are they saying about the health of the thousand people who drop every single day from those shots? What’s going to happen to everyone else? People are going to pack on the pounds like pigs during this lockdown just because they're bored out of their minds eating everything in sight. And don't even get me started on how many people are going to spiral into depression and all that other mental health crap. Where's the "health" in that? We’re already one of the most overweight and physically lazy nations in the EU.

I'm just sitting here waiting for some expert advice and instructions from Beroš and Markotic once I finally get a break from work. Should I just head into the woods and go full Rambo during this isolation?

Aren't you satisfied with people making fun of you in the corner? 🤦

I guess I'm just quoting this so it stays on the record. So, according to you, people are going to overeat because of isolation—whose fault is that exactly? Is it because people are idiots who choose to binge? You can actually stay healthy while in isolation, or even in prison, you know?

Layoffs, layoffs, oh my god, layoffs. Since six months ago, we've been seeing an average of 6,000 to 7,000 more unemployed people every month; now it might hit 20,000. It's not like 500,000 people are suddenly going to show up at unemployment offices when there are only 40,000 more cases in two months.

Honestly, I feel like I'm answering you, but I don't see the point of your post at all. It's probably just a "Ugh, why aren't we like Swedenaaaa" type of thing.

And I'm sitting here wondering why I'm even responding to you either. 🎉

That is exactly what I tell people. In America, cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death, yet now we're forcing people to sit around, eat junk, drink, and smoke.

I have to give them credit for the organization here

I’m officially out of isolation, so I shouldn't be restricted anymore, but whenever I try to generate my digital pass through the system, it keeps flagging me as still being in quarantine. It's a total loop.
Honestly, nobody seems to know which department is actually responsible for updating these records.🙏

Don't even sweat it, man. Knowing how soul-crushing and slow-moving American bureaucracy can be, you’ll probably be sitting in isolation by the time that pension check actually hits your account. 👍

And just from smoking alone, you've got about 30 people kicking the bucket every single day in America.

Honestly, we don't need thirty deaths a day; if some little girl dies once a week, that's enough for me.

Kazo Capak claims that only Japan has better mortality rates than us, but if you actually take a second to look at the data, there are at least twenty other countries out there with lower mortality rates, so why on earth would anyone even spout such nonsense? 🤷

And get this—if you're dead, your mortality rate is technically 100%. So, by that logic, nobody is actually "better" than anyone else. ☕

I haven't actually heard Kazo Capak speak yet—I've only ever read his words—but just reading him is enough to get under my skin. In terms of how they handle opposition, Beroš and Markotic are practically operating on a different planet compared to him, at least when you look at this level of communication.

Beros and Markotic are the actual experts on the ground here, whereas Capak and Bozinovic are just political appointees, and honestly, the difference between them is night and day, especially since Markoticka is basically the gold standard at the top level.

edit: Look, Beros might be a political appointee, but he hasn't been playing us for fools; he’s actually running the crisis based on professional expertise rather than just following some political playbook.
