Why isn't there any actual public debate about this stuff? Do you honestly think everyone's on the same page? It’s not like I’m watching North Korean propaganda or anything—I’m definitely not buying into whatever Markotićka or Capak are peddling. We've got plenty of scientists and virologists right here in America who don't agree with them, yet there's zero real discussion. Any dissenting opinion just gets slapped with censorship, labeled, or straight-up ignored. Honestly, the whole thing feels incredibly shady.

restlesssurfer97, man, you really gotta sit back and think about this for a second—like, seriously consider why things didn't just absolutely explode over in Sweden, you know? Doesn't that tell you something, even just a little bit, about how much of an actual necessity or how effective those quarantine measures really were in the grand scheme of things?

restlesssurfer97 wrote that back in the US, about 70k people died from opioids last year (even more the year before), and I was just sitting here like, "What does that even have to do with an outbreak?" Honestly, nothing. I’m out here selling crack cocaine on Facebook, and my sales haven't slowed down one bit. But man, dear Irud, you better close those borders because you're being such a racist!
And now look at this: borders are shut, the economy is tanking, and trillions upon trillions of dollars are just vanishing into thin air.
Does something smell fishy to anyone else, or is it just me?

Germany. For an entire month, all you could hear about was washing your hands and wearing gloves. That was back at the end of month three. Now, here we are in month five—which is basically a month and a half later—and suddenly the only thing anyone mentions is masks, and they’re making them mandatory.

Nobody even brings up gloves anymore.

Something stinks here, and it smells absolutely foul...

Yesterday, there were 4,000 people out in the streets in Germany protesting, demanding their freedom back.

How on earth am I supposed to know that?
I can only speculate.
Sure, one possibility is that this whole thing is a hoax and we're just dealing with a slightly more aggressive strain of the flu.
But that isn't the only option on the table.

At first glance, my gut feeling is that the countries hit hardest were the ones with high population density, massive cities, and heavy international transit. But again, that’s just an uneducated guess.

It seems almost unbelievable to me that the entire world is filled with idiots who decided to wreck their economies for absolutely no reason (aside from Sweden and Belarus).
I find it hard to wrap my head around.

How much sense do these quarantine measures actually make, like what they're doing in Italy? Can someone please try to explain the logic to me? If the entire country is basically under house arrest, how on earth are they still seeing thousands of new cases every single day? How is it even spreading if the only people out and about are those who absolutely have to be? Sure, their daily numbers dropped from 3,000–4,000 down to somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500, but I still don't get it. If everyone is stuck at home, how does the transmission keep happening?

I can't get that old joke by Markoticke out of my head—the one where people in medical circles jokingly call COVID a "family" virus because most of the transmission happens within close-knit family circles.

The whole situation has hit countries way less hard if they reacted early and stopped that initial massive spike. Now, they can pretty much start winding things down without any hesitation because the pool of infection has shrunk and we aren't looking at a massive surge. It makes zero sense to keep a country like Germany under lockdown when they’re only seeing maybe 300 or 400 cases across 80 million people.

I certainly won't be the one doing it,

it will be Beroš

and

Markotićka

as well as

Anders Tegnell

along with perhaps a hundred other doctors and scientists who are urging us to remain cautious, yet firmly believe that succumbing to mass hysteria is both irrational and dangerous.

The only logical explanation is that people are simply ignoring quarantine.
There are plenty of other explanations out there, but frankly, most of them aren't even remotely sane. We're talking about 5G conspiracies and all that other nonsense.

The entire situation has hit countries that acted decisively much less hard. By stepping up early and preventing that initial explosion of cases, they’ve managed to shrink the pool of infection. Now, they can start dismantling restrictions without hesitation because the threat of a massive surge has been neutralized. Does it really make sense to keep a nation like Germany under lockdown when they're looking at only 300 or 400 cases across a population of 80 million? It just doesn't add up.

Was this virus unleashed by a single individual, or was it the work of a small group?
What do you think? Would these 300 to 400 cases spread even further without a quarantine?

Honestly, I can't help but feel that the rise in infection numbers is slowing down because this whole mess is starting to show some seasonal patterns. But then again, what do I know? I’d much rather leave those calls to the actual experts.

Let's just hope the warmer weather actually helps slow down the virus. Honestly, though, it’s a whole lot easier to track down the source of 200 or 300 new cases than it is when you're staring down 2,000 or 3,000.

Look at our local numbers—they've dropped from 100 down to 10, and we're getting consistent daily updates on exactly who caught what and how. Today, we had 4 people test positive after crossing the border coming back from Germany. On top of that, 3 others tested positive while in quarantine; they've been stuck there for about 10 days because they were in contact with someone who got sick back in Miami (a caregiver at a nursing home).

With this warmer weather, I haven't even been drinking much water, so my body temp is sitting somewhere around 97-98 degrees,

I’m not quite following—why aren't you drinking water?
If you're dealing with the flu, for instance, that's just a seasonal thing.
Nothing groundbreaking there.

man, no way... I keep hearing people on here claiming that once the temp hits 78, the virus just dies off immediately.
if it actually did that, I'd be totally fine whenever it hits my system!

Wait, where on earth did you hear that 79 degrees kills the virus?
You've definitely got that one wrong.

Man, listen—yesterday in Indianapolis we were looking at the temp difference between 3 degrees and 6 degrees, and then Joso the butcher pops up on CNN and claims you can't survive the Corona virus at +26 degrees for more than 30 minutes. You all see this, right? Seriously, Tudume, give me a break and wake up! Here, have a beer.
Get outta here!

I wonder what the general sentiment regarding the lambs and the gourmets is over in Canada?

Tudume, any chance you could start a mukbang YouTube channel where you just film yourself eating gourmet lamb in Indianapolis 🙏? 🙏.

I’d definitely tune in for that, and I’m pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one watching. 😉

Man, the veal there is top-tier! You basically have to drive 100 miles93 miles north just to find a local farmer who does things the old-school way—where they scatter seeds all over the ranch and pray for rain tomorrow. But honestly, the lamb isn't quite like what we have back home; it feels like it's missing that little bit of salt in the air, you know? Still, it's pretty good!

That would be cool, but who’s actually filming? Look, there's this gorgeous Russian girl sitting right here by the river, just chilling—man, she is stunning. After two minutes, she starts walking around the pool in this tiny bikini, and then all our American buddies start asking me, "Hey Tudume el, is she your girl?" And I'm like, "Nooo, definitely not, she's all yours!"
