Look, I'm just asking because I'm curious.

It doesn't show in that specific quote—it shows up later. Why does everything have to be spelled out instantly? Is there some unwritten rule about the exact order people have to present their thoughts on screen? Or is that logic reserved exclusively for (certain) women?😁

Just asking because I'm curious.

I already answered you, but honestly, that question feels a bit pretentious.

With that extra explanation added, it’s pretty obvious to me—just looking at this from the outside—that it feels like a cheap way to twist the narrative.

Honestly, that whole little backtrack of yours felt incredibly pretentious. Anyway, have a good one.

Look, if you and whoever else want to think that—fine.🤷 That's your problem.
The main thing is that you didn't take the easy way out when dodging my question back in post 51.

Your little backtrack feels pretty pretentious. Have a nice day.

Yeah... I already said that, so I'm not repeating myself. You have a nice day too.

placidorca16 said:Dear moderators,
It’s honestly wild how several threads regarding feminism—currently active over in Politics (specifically those regarding "feminist protection of domestic abusers" and various "feminism" discussions)—are completely ignoring blatant sexism, misogyny, and direct violations of the Constitution and federal laws, not to mention international standards. A few users (the original poster, along with felix, bongo, and others, plus the thread starter) are basically just insulting women and their capabilities in general—spreading outright lies about female intelligence and skill as if they were "facts," despite having zero evidence to back any of it up. It's baffling that the mods aren't stepping in, especially since these posts have already been reported.
Does this mean the owners of this forum also endorse the misogyny, sexism, and falsehoods being directed at women?
I’m looking for an official statement from the administration here—this isn't just a breach of forum rules, it’s a violation of the Constitution and the laws of the USA, as well as the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

And then the mods/admins just went ahead and nuked everything—absolute chaos. ☕

🙂

And your point is?🤷 I spotted a typo—literally just a misspelled word—and fixed it twenty minutes later. Is that against the rules now, or are we calling it some kind of "feminist conspiracy"?😕

placidorca16, Sophia Thomas7 thought that quote from Michelle Alvarez8 came from your opening post—he clearly didn't bother clicking the arrow to see she pulled it from the "feminism" thread.

My sincere respect to those who remain optimistic while tilting at windmills—I simply lack the energy to reopen those debates or wade through the endless nonsense found there.

I’m going to go ahead and make my suggestion once again: we really need to abolish the distinction between men's and women's sports, because honestly, seeing them split up like that is just such a blatant example of sexism and gender inequality.

placidorca16 said:Look, I clearly stated that women generally possess more abilities than men. Being able to give birth is an ability—that’s just a fact. Or do you and your little crew think it isn't? What exactly am I "claiming" I didn't say? 😕 Don't try to put words in my mouth that I never uttered or even thought.

Feel free to point out where I actually mentioned anything about a 'conspiracy.'

You didn't say it, but why on earth are you interrogating me about why I edited my original post? As if editing isn't allowed—as if a person can't make a typo and fix it, like everyone else does. Why even ask if it matters to you?😕 Why would that even matter to you in the first place?

Well, look, you actually wrote that women "have more abilities," which honestly comes off as nothing but passive-aggressive provocation, and then you proceeded to list exactly one single thing: giving birth. But hey, if we’re playing this game where we acknowledge men are physically stronger, then that's +1 for strength on the male side and +1 for childbirth on the female side regarding overall abilities for both sexes, respectively.

So, not only are they not "more capable," but you promised a whole range of abilities and then only delivered one. Can you manage to cough up at least three more besides just having babies?

Just for the sake of clarity, could you please list these male and female abilities that are supposedly equal, under which category you can then tack on childbirth as a "superior" female trait?

On top of that, you completely dodged the question about how free speech even fits into this mess. Check post #11. Just a heads-up, I'm asking how legal precedent actually handles free speech regarding this specific topic, not how you wish the law worked.

So, why don't you try answering post #11 instead of just showing up here to chant slogans? It seems like if you can't answer post #11, you probably don't even understand what it's asking.

Secondly, look, I'm all for supporting people in their charitable endeavors, but I draw the line at including baseless claims, half-baked answers, moralistic coercion, and those kinds of cheap tricks used to push agendas that some people find totally objectionable.

placidorca16 said:Right, precisely because it's a public forum. If there were actual "arguments" being made, you could respond with logic—but this isn't that; it's just misogynistic generalizations and insults... Still, nobody's stopping you from feeling as "polite" and "cultured" as those women in the posts claim to be, even if you can't see past your own nose.

Maybe the reason I don't feel insulted by certain descriptions is simply because they don't apply to me? 🤷
Did that possibility ever cross your mind? 😉

When someone (regardless of whether they are male or female) points out that there are plenty of women who are just plain boring, spending their entire lives glued to soap operas and gossiping, believe me, I won't feel the slightest urge to scream, "How dare you, you misogynist!" because, frankly, it’s the damn truth.

I have no interest in defending or representing anyone just because we share the same chromosomes, and I certainly don't want anyone speaking on behalf of women without my express permission.

Real struggle should be reserved for the disenfranchised, the oppressed, the hungry, and the helpless—regardless of whether we are talking about a child, a woman, a man, or an animal.

To summarize: feminism is, in my opinion, far too narrowly specialized, overly aggressive, and completely devoid of any sense of humor. I won't go so far as to call it fanaticism, but if anyone finds themselves offended by this, I wash my hands of their feelings.

The absolute saddest part—honestly—is watching the voices of genuinely brilliant women get totally drowned out by all the noise feminism makes.

Actually, I don't have an issue with your post—I even agree with most of it—but that one sentence was totally unnecessary. Do you realize what you just said?
If it weren't for the women who fought through history to secure a place in the sun on behalf of all women, you might actually end up being one of those stupid hens wasting your life away on soap operas.
It’s not about whether a specific comment hits home for you personally, because feminism wasn't designed to cater to a few specific women; its whole purpose is to ensure equality for both men and women. Maybe it feels a bit too aggressive for you, but labeling feminists as nothing but "feminazis" and such isn't cool for a forum, no matter how much placidorca16 rants about it...

Exactly.

However, there is a very simple distinction to be made here: the moment someone claims that all women are like that—or even just a massive percentage of them—your refusal to speak up stops being principled and starts looking like mere conformism, or quite frankly, just pure laziness and letting others fight your battles for you.

As for this whole "ability" argument, it’s a total miss—and honestly, a brilliant bit of spin: the original phrasing of "showing more ability" means something entirely different from the revised version, "having more ability."

And don't even get me started on bringing "childbearing abilities" into a discussion like this; it's a ridiculous pivot that invites the counter-argument of male "abilities like peeing against a wall, which women lack"—so, if we're going down that road, let's start counting...

And I guess that brings us right to the heart of why these debates always go in circles: people tend to view feminism as this monolithic movement where men aren't allowed, and every single member is just some radical with a mustache who doesn't have a boyfriend. Which, in these kinds of discussions, pretty much leads to the conclusion that... well, normal women—the ones without mustaches who actually have guys in their lives—would never identify as feminists in the first place.

It’s honestly more depressing to watch people mock things—some out of pure ignorance, others just because they think being edgy is "cool"—when they clearly haven't the slightest clue what they're actually talking about. Or at least, they pretend they don't.

Feminism advocates for political, social, and economic equality between men and women—nothing more. It isn't some aggressive crusade, nor does it require a sense of humor to function—it’s simply about fundamental human rights. It's a decent idea, really; an idea rooted in basic humanity. If certain people can't distinguish between individual behavior and the core philosophy itself, that isn't a flaw in feminism—it's just a reflection of individual apathy and stupidity.

Look, feminism—just like any other movement or ideology—inevitably attracts aggressive idiots who end up doing more damage to the cause than they ever do good. It’s pathetic, really. Under the guise of feminism, certain people just vent their own personal frustrations through battles that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual movement. To call yourself a feminist while simultaneously trampling over men simply because of their gender is pure stupidity. Treating these creatures as relevant—or worse, equating them with the core idea itself, which is noble, non-aggressive, and genuinely good—is just plain foolish.

Spot on. 👍 🙂

But I don't think it’s primarily their fault. Once you burn through the quota of top-tier mods, the interesting ones, or even the actual institutions—like the "forum moderators"—what you’re left with is pure mediocrity. You end up in a space where people barely grasp what free speech means or where the boundaries lie. Eventually, it starts feeling less like a community and more like a precinct where the cops are just hunting down petty criminals 😁), rather than the high-quality forum we used to have. 😉

For me, the real tragedy is watching someone bark about something over and over like a broken record—especially when their own narrow perspective keeps them from seeing how they aren't helping anyone, and how what started as being intense just turns into something everyone else eventually ignores.

Honestly, this is a problem with every single ideology. So, it's nothing exclusive to feminism or anything we haven't seen before.

Report this if you want to keep being trolled—or if you actually enjoy the chaos. Personally, I’m not gaining anything from this. Anyone who actually bothered to read my post would see it has absolutely nothing to do with placidorca16. Maybe I've just lost my mind. i You mocked the individuals in that sentence—but I suppose that's just how it works for anyone reading this with nothing better to do—or for those looking for a fight.

So?🙄 Oh, sure—apparently, asking the moderators to actually step in when people start slinging misogynistic labels around or claiming women have "inferior intellect"—you know, the usual garbage—is what they call being "aggressive."😁
