"Runs smoothly"? Give me a break. The Premier League thread is a ghost town, Serie A has been dead since the league lost its spark, and Ligue 1 isn't exactly a hub for high-level debate either. Look, once the notorious feralgardener36 and that inner circle moved over to the Premier League section, they left a vacuum for fans of the big league. And who stepped up to fill it? Absolutely nobody.

Quote:It’s also possible there are people who *would* contribute if the structure allowed it, but they just don't. Take me, for example. I've been around here a while, but when I show up and have to scroll through five pages of the exact same repetitive garbage, I just lose interest and log off.
If you aren't scrolling through pages of filler, you'll lose the will to write just the same. You're one of the few people actually providing substance in the La Liga thread; if we opened a separate thread, you'd be one of the few people providing substance (and perhaps one of the few users at all) in that one too.

Look, open the thread. It doesn't cost me anything. I’d gladly trade my dignity for a single thread that actually fosters a lively, constructive atmosphere for clubs outside the usual suspects. But I think this whole argument relies on flawed logic—it's not like Barcelona or Real Madrid are responsible for the trolling happening in their own corner.

Well then, why does MLS even exist? I’m not talking about a forum thread...

Besides, restlesssurfer97 is an absolute legend, a total institution... nobody else even comes close to being on that level. You guys really messed up by catering to a handful of specific users and turning this whole place into such a bore... you honestly shouldn't be allowed to make mistakes like that anymore...

Why, really? Is that what we're doing now?

By the way, restlesssurfer97 is an absolute legend; nobody else even comes close. You guys messed up by picking favorites with certain users and turned this forum into a total snooze-fest. You don't get to make mistakes like that anymore.

Protect restlesssurfer97 at all costs!

Morgan Williams said:People might think I’m jumping on their side, but honestly, 60% of VB fans react like toddlers to even the most childish taunts. If ZZ wrote that Messi was an amateur, those five would swallow it whole.

I reckon if we just deleted posts alongside issuing heavy fines, all these problems would vanish overnight.

Prika, we’re actually on the same page here regarding this matter.

Full support for Carlos against these schemes.

People really don't seem to grasp that someone can say something far more meaningful in two short sentences than another person can in two whole pages of text. If they manage to poke at their interlocutor with a bit of wit at the same time, well, that's just a bonus, isn't it? At the end of the day, nobody wants to hang out with the boring types in real life, so why should things be any different here?

It really is just great getting this kind of backing from the most important senators on this forum. image

Let’s try being a bit constructive for once ☕

As usual during this time of year, we're looking for people to run the league threads for the 2013/2014 season

Here’s what’s currently available:
Bundesliga
La Liga
Serie A
The lower English leagues
(I’m expecting more detailed coverage for the Championship and League One—maybe League Two too—so we’ll probably need extra hands here)

Assignments will mostly be first-come, first-served—though, occasionally, someone who proved themselves last season might get priority.

Not that I have to say it—any constructive suggestions are welcome ☕

The 2013/2014 Russian Premier League should be wrapped up by the end of the week.

Maybe

So you've got the Russian league—Vekjo is opening up Ligue 1, Alex Cook. Pretty much done.

Just a heads-up—the Portuguese league is heading back under the general umbrella of the other leagues, seeing as the folks on this forum haven't shown much interest in it anyway.

Man, look at this guy, Alex Cook, just pulling strings to snag Prem through some backroom deal instead of putting it out for a public tender. 🙂

While some folks are heading down to Dubai, I’m more than happy to jump in and help out if there's any workload being divvied up.

Since I started this thread, I feel like it’s a bit of a shame, but honestly, besides the big derbies, there wasn't much worth following this season. It just doesn't make much sense to keep it here.

Maybe interest will pick up if they overtake Ligue 1 on the UEFA coefficients again or if Porto pulls off another Champions League win, who knows.

Come on—we need to get some perks too. 😬

Some of these English posts belong to Dabija—anyway, I’m ready to chip in if there’s going to be some kind of work distribution happening.

Figure it out among yourselves—doesn't have to be all three main ones.

I suspect more people will actually follow this on OL than on its own dedicated thread—just an observation.

Since nobody’s piped up—and I've realized I have quite a bit of downtime over the next few days—I might just grab the lead on this one, if anyone has an objection...

Don't let this thread drag on, otherwise 🙂
