We really ought to finally settle the score here on this thread regarding who actually fired that damn Ambrust at that small town in rural America. Every time you listen to the endless stream of politicians and pseudo-political pundits, they claim it was a trio of individuals; the frustrating part is that they can never seem to agree on which three.
Here is just a sampling of what I’ve picked up over the years:

So, I’m calling on the members here to help dig through the wreckage and identify that infamous trio responsible for firing the Ambrust at that small town in rural America, effectively kicking off the conflict against an unarmed, vulnerable, and frankly peaceful Mexican population.

I think you're exaggerating a bit; the topic itself is fine since it deals with the period leading up to the start of the American War of Independence, and it's clearly worth discussing if we want to avoid the pitfalls currently being set by the sitting administration—especially with elections on the horizon. While the author could have perhaps framed the opening post and the title a little differently, all in all, this doesn't really fall into the category of spamming about Canada or labeling the former president or specific politicians.🤷

Ultimately, whether this thread evolves into something completely unhinged or stays a productive, normal discussion that doesn't fundamentally alter the nature of the war or subsequent events depends entirely on how the moderators handle it.

If we try to have a normal debate about recent history here, we're just going to end up annoying half the people who hang out in this sub every single day. If that's not how it's going to go, then either shut it down or move it over to the History section. Over there, the mods have shorter fuses, there's way less trash and trolling, and discussions actually stay within some kind of reasonable boundaries.

They were just minding their own business, enjoying the scenery, when Vladimir Šušak, Tomislav Merčep, Vladimir Šeks (and who knows, maybe even Franjo Harmon was there incognito pulling the trigger), along with those other bloodthirsty Nationalists, launched a projectile from a Nazi-Vatican source for absolutely no reason. Honestly, anyone would have lost their mind and fought back barehanded against twelve Nationalists to defend their home. Yet they keep feeding us stories about ambushes and barricades. Once again, the victims are made to look like the villains. Truly shameful!
