I'm calling this one the mosaic puzzle. There's a mosaic-style image below. You just have to guess which movie it is.

A correct answer gets you 3 points.

There's also a bonus round worth 3 total bonus points (1 point per correct answer), regardless of whether you nailed the main question. Of course, you only get these if your bonus answers are right; otherwise, you lose the point. If you miss the main question, you take a -1 hit which then applies to your bonus score. For example: Main question wrong (-1) + all three bonus questions right (+3) = 2 points total. Get everything right, and you walk away with 6 points.

The catch is, you HAVE to answer the main question to be eligible for the bonus points. If you skip the main one, I won't count your bonus guesses.

There's also a bonus round worth 3 total bonus points (1 point each), independent of your main answer's accuracy. Naturally, you only get credit if the bonus answers are actually right. If you miss the main question, you get a -1 penalty applied to your bonus points. So, if you miss the main question (-1) but hit all three bonuses (+3), your total is 2. Get them all perfect, and you get 6.

I'm looking specifically at ruggedfox28 and Ferstar who were fighting for third place until yesterday. I hope you didn't bail on purpose and just couldn't jump back in because life got in the way.

Ehh... there are still two things we need to sort out.

1. IMPRESSIONS

What did you guys think of this sweepstakes !!!!? What worked, what didn't, which questions were good or bad? If you could change anything, add stuff, or cut stuff, what would it be?
I'll take the blame for some of the hiccups, but that's because I put this whole thing together on a tight deadline and was making up tasks on the fly, trying my best every day to throw out something new, original, and actually challenging for you guys.

2. DISTRIBUTING PRIZES.

So, here's the deal. I ordered all the movies on the same day this sweepstakes !!!! kicked off, specifically on Monday, August 16th. They haven't hit my doorstep yet, so I'd ask the winners to hang tight for about a week (shipping usually takes a week and a half to two max). In the meantime, please shoot me a DM with your full name, address, and zip code. If any of the winners happen to be in Washington, D.C., we can just do a hand-off in person once the movies arrive, and I'll let you know here as soon as they show up. 👍

Just some evening thoughts. Honestly, most people should probably handle this via private message so everyone isn't just copying one another. Or, we could just post a few questions where only the first person to get it right earns the points.

That first idea feels a bit unfair since we aren't all online at the exact same time 🤷 I mean, what if I know the answer but don't log on until a few hours after it's posted? Then it's not really about how much you know anymore

Anthony Smith3—really clever setup. Honestly, the rest of us should probably try to be at least half as creative and come up with something similar. You were basically giving out technical advice on the images, and that ninja bit was awesome. A huge 👍 for all the effort put into this whole thing.

My take? Five stars across the board. But, like David Price5 already mentioned, maybe next time we should handle more of this via PM. Using copy/paste definitely helped a lot of people (myself included), so making it a bit more complicated—you know, harder, where it depends on the individual rather than just a group of identical answers—might be better. Everything else was great—imaginative, well-thought-out, tough but not impossible (plenty of people nailed those cross-referenced images), and just plain fun. The best part was how everything stayed focused on the action genre; even when things got confusing (like how I initially thought that first image from die hard 2 was from K9-Widowmaker because of the hat), you could always pivot based on the genre itself.

So... yeah, that's the gist. 😁

Alright, I've gotta weigh in and say a few things too 😁. First off, major props to Anthony Smith3 for pulling this off. You basically set the whole forum on fire, and I have to admit, these last four days felt like an eternity... I was on pins and needles the entire time. But honestly? It was a great move and a total blast. Huge congrats to feralorca82—I couldn't catch up no matter how hard I tried, haha—and shoutout to briskhound2 for snagging third place, along with everyone else who gave it their best shot. The questions were actually pretty diverse and mostly really well thought out. Personally, I loved the ones about the differences, those 12 Statham movies, guessing the ninja, and the actor-director connections. On the other hand, those rounds with the three crossed images and the blurry ones... man, it would’ve been better if they were actually clear. Looking at them was like staring into the sun; you spend hours squinting and you still can't figure anything out because the key details are just invisible 😁. The additions and anagrams were fun enough, though obviously, some stuff is always better kept to private messages. All in all, the vibe was solid, and I really hope we see more stunts like this down the road 👍.

Well, sometimes you just have to get lucky and be the first one to hit it. I'd much rather rely on luck than start copying others.
