The Expendables sweepstakes!

Regarding those image resolutions. Unfortunately... I couldn't track down some images in higher res, and Photobucket was giving me a hard time about it too. For example, with the spot-the-difference tasks, even though I uploaded high-res files every single time, Photobucket would end up shrinking them down to the exact size they ended up being here.🤷

As for the PM thing. Yeah... that would’ve made the game way more intense and challenging, and maybe I should have gone that route. But when I was first cooking up this whole quiz idea in my head, making all the answers public felt like the fairest way to do it... though, obviously... it turns out that’s exactly what invited all those copy/pasters. Still... even with all that... only a few real individuals actually stood out in the end.

About next time... who knows when that'll be, haha. I just got swept up in the hype for Expendables... and honestly, that movie was the reason this entire quiz was focused strictly on action flicks. Who knows... if I had organized a quiz around Avatar or Inception, it probably would've leaned toward SF or thrillers, centered around those specific crews...
therefore goldenhound32 and the rest of you who aren't big into action movies... don't sweat it... who knows what the theme will be next time. 😉

For now, I'm totally tapped out on ideas for tasks... but hey... maybe I'll pull something similar together by the end of the year. If anyone feels like organizing something similar on their own dime in the near future... I'd be all for it... I'd love to compete myself, haha.😁👍

I’m joining in to congratulate the winners and Anthony Smith3 for putting in all the effort and time (and the cash 😁) to keep us entertained.

Like most people here, I feel the answers should have been sent via private message. Since it's impossible for everyone to be online at the exact same moment, I’d suggest scrapping the bonus points for whoever is first to answer correctly. Instead, we should just give them to anyone who manages to get all the sub-questions right.

A special thanks goes to the boss for letting me participate in this quiz by heading off on vacation and staying away from the forums. 🤣

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, I suppose. If someone wants a specific theme, they should probably just organize it themselves to their own liking. I'm sure plenty of people would step up to compete...

By "shame," I mean what Anthony Smith3 mentioned—that he views this sweepstakes as a way to promote the art of cinema itself. It would be a pity if it remained strictly limited to the action genre.

I jumped in because I let the excitement get the better of me... then reality set in. It occurred to me that I don't actually need these movies; I don't own a Blu-ray player, nor do I plan to, and when it comes to the action genre, I'm about as lost as a golfer on a basketball court.

I definitely didn't say that... you just jumped to the wrong conclusion. I was talking about promoting the movie Expendables... and the forum itself as a whole...

...it's all written so clearly and simply in the opening post 🙂

It doesn't really matter which movies are being discussed, it's just about the sweepstakes !!!! :-D. People simply love winning prizes, whether they are big or small. It feels great just to be chosen from the crowd :-)

Either I misspoke or I was messing with you—honestly, it's probably the latter, since I clearly stated in the intro that this sweepstakes !!!! is being run to celebrate the release of The Expendables in theaters, so it's strictly focused on action movies and action heroes. Did you actually bother reading the opening post before jumping in?

I'm sorry the questions, topic, and prizes weren't your cup of tea, but I laid everything out in the intro just like I said. If you wanted in, you could have played... if not, whatever. No big deal.

But here... I genuinely hope there will be more sweepstakes !!!! like this in the future... at the end of the day... foreign films aren't exactly expensive to bring over, so the prizes are doable... so I'm hoping something more your style comes along eventually.👍
