Is it okay if I ever mention in real life that we exchanged messages via DM 😍, since you were the one who reached out, just so people know I'm not some total loser?

For what it's worth, I'm not a boycotter either—that's a connection I'm actually proud of.

Peace be upon you.

🙂

Nah, honestly, I’m not even trying to be humble. But hey, I’m working on it...

Can I actually say that in real life—like, "Hey, we've been messaging on DM"...? 😍Since you asked, I'll just say this—I'm definitely not totally clueless...

Anything that makes you happy... and I might just be able to help with that!... 😍

Actually, if you’re cool with it, I’d love to go one step further and just copy-paste this whole conversation into a new thread—it would be my idea, and I’ll make sure to ask nicely first! I also really want to dive deeper into that concept... like, is a woman even considered a Muslim while she isn't wearing a hijab, or is it more like what you were saying... Like Bajagi being a Muslim... lol....
And just so nobody gets the wrong idea and thinks we were actually messaging privately—please, let’s keep that out of it! I definitely wasn't the one reaching out... I just wanted to make sure we stay focused on the actual topic: whether a person is still considered a Muslim while they're actively sinning...
So... is my initiative enough? I just don't want us to end up like those half-hearted Muslims, you know...? 😍

I'm definitely not a boycotter either... that connection is something I'm actually really proud of!

You make us all so proud. I'm totally sure of it...
Aleikum!

🙂

Aleikum Assalam!

🙂

Wait, what kind of attitude is that? Who am I even accusing here...?

Yeah, that’s pretty interesting.
But honestly, I think you’d feel just as much "sadness" if I had personally written those 172,000 posts. Look at all the other users here who have posted thousands of times—doing way more work than dozens of other Americans combined—yet you aren't "mourning" them the same way, right?🤷

And regarding your little call-out about responsibility when you say:

"11. And about insulting Scott Nguyen2, Kate Phillips40, and the rest of this fan club, of course they won't say a word. It's important to step on rowdyhawk10 just to cover up Dervish's insult to you: "

-that was strictly a Dervish situation, which is why I'm not boycotting anything here. But if you're personally curious about my take on it, and why I didn't say anything regarding that unfortunate situation and the improper behavior from a woman like ruggedwolf, I think it's pointless to even comment on it.

If scholars have clearly stated that something like that (an interfaith marriage involving a Muslim woman) is forbidden, and there are arguments straight from the Islamic Science, is it really standard practice for a Muslim woman to argue so aggressively with brothers on a forum like this? It's not certain, and you're playing the "tough guy" whenever you want at the expense of Islam, acting like you can face God while I supposedly can't, rowdyhawk10—even if it were my own sister writing it. If someone persists in a heavy sin that is undeniably forbidden, they inevitably reach a point where they leave the faith. That's clear to any educated Muslim. There's a reason people say:

“To err is human, but to persist in error is the work of the devil.”

Don't try to claim I'm targeting ruggedwolf directly, because she didn't explicitly say she was in an interfaith marriage or anything. I am strictly talking about anyone who would stubbornly stick to something they know is a major sin and is forbidden by the consensus of the scholars.

I'm also not defending the harsh words that user received from that other lady (a housewife, I think), because it would have been much better if her sister had sent her a private message with good intentions to explain that this isn't how a Muslim sister behaves—stubbornly arguing with so many brothers just to cause chaos and stir up anger. She didn't just insist on making trouble over this point; she tried to do the same thing with other topics on the Islam 114 thread. Honestly, I stopped reading her posts after that.

The fact that you support these outbursts tells me you don't actually care about discussing Islam correctly here. If people want to accept it, fine; if not, they can leave—it's better that way for them.

If I were in ruggedwolf's shoes, I wouldn't be getting banned for 15 days just to come back and keep rambling. I'd be too embarrassed to ever show my face on this Reddit again.

Well, you caught me on a technicality, so I'll tell you.😉

Honestly, you’re the one who should be feeling embarrassed here!
Did you even bother reading what I actually wrote? Where did I ever claim that something forbidden was permitted? Just go ahead—try and find a single post of mine where I advocated for anything prohibited. Find me one post on this topic where I insulted anyone. My actual stance was simply that marrying a non-Muslim is forbidden (and no, before you ask, I am not married to a non-Muslim)—that it is a major sin, yes, but that such an act doesn't take a person out of the faith, which aligns perfectly with the position held by the Islamic Community. After I shared that view, people started attacking me for it, not to mention the direct and indirect insults hurled at Sister Sunnah, who is married to a Catholic. How can you lie about this so easily?!

There—take it and look for yourself! You’re trying to make a fool out of me and convince me of something that just isn't true. Just look at the reactions from those watching from the sidelines at the end of the thread—what did they see? Did they see me insulting anyone or anyone else? Just read it!

ruggedwolf, I also made that point very clear. If you keep pushing someone to do things that are forbidden, they’ll eventually hit a breaking point and walk away from their faith..
So you're just... Partially. You were right when you said that specific act doesn't kick someone out of the faith right now—that’s true. But my point above is also true, unless you want me to start listing all my arguments for it?

Sister, the way you're arguing with the brothers so aggressively is honestly beyond reproach. Couldn't you have just handled this in a private message instead of making such a scene? Every argument that leads to unrest and fighting should be shut down by all Muslims, especially in public spaces like a Reddit thread.

Don't get me wrong, but this really isn't how an American sister should act. It’s also not how any brother in the faith should behave—publicly pushing for an argument or trying to force a debate that could have easily been handled in a private message.

That’s all from me. I'd just ask that you don't keep bringing up the same topic with me here on Reddit, otherwise we're just going to stir up even more trouble together.
If you want to dive deeper into this, check out my Reddit thread here:Get to know Islam.

That’s how we could actually settle some of these debates in a much more serious way.

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing great.

Seriously, whose words were "heated"? Mine? Where?
I mean, did you even read the thread and see who was actually acting un-Islamic? You want to know what un-Islamic behavior looks like? It's acting all arrogant and condescending, putting yourself above everyone else as if you hold some sinless moral high ground, pointing fingers at other people's sins, shaming them, trying to cast them out of Islam in the name of God, spitting on their faith, mocking and belittling people, and threatening them with hellfire—all while claiming to be a Muslim! Who gives you that authority? Who gives anyone the right to decide where someone else belongs? Only God knows what's in our hearts and who is truly a believer; He is the one who judges. I wouldn't dare try to expose someone else's sins, nor would I presume to judge who is a Muslim and who isn't! And yes, I am standing firm in my views, whether you like it or not. I have every right to them. I didn't insult anyone there—it was actually the exact opposite! Are you now going to take away my right to express myself too? You find my stance shameful, yet you don't find all those insults shameful? Unbelievable.

P.S. Forgive me if I don't consider you any more competent than the leadership of the American Islamic Community when it comes to this or any other matter, so your claim that I'm "persisting" in something that is only partially true really falls flat.

Man... listen to all this harsh talk
Why is it that nobody actually reads the context of what I was talking about? Instead, everyone just immediately "latches on" to one specific word—pulling it right out of the sentence—and stubbornly tries to label it as me being insulting
Look, if I did offend someone (assuming my posts are somehow "wrong"), it’s only because they clearly saw themselves reflected in the "sharpness" of what I wrote
So, what, I was supposed to play nice and engage in some polite little back-and-forth with ruggedwolf just to drag myself down into the exact kind of argument she's fishing for?
ruggedwolf acted all "defensive," when really, I'm just trying to carve out my own space for a real debate
Honestly, a smart person doesn't need much convincing!
And an apology will definitely be coming for anyone who realizes the message was meant for them!

Using that relentless "Monty Python" style logic, Dervish is actually trying to convince us in this thread that verse 4:141 proves some kind of "falling out of Islam." It’s obvious to any sane person that the verse in no way — not even in the most abstract possible combinations — refers to a Muslim woman marrying a non-Muslim. Even Monty Python couldn't make a stretch that ridiculous. But apparently, that's where FMN and Dervish are headed.

For the first graders here:

They aren't going to find a post like yours. They won't give it to you. You’re calling out someone who isn't even listening, and you're writing to someone who doesn't understand you—yet you still insist on playing the victim through trolling. Just another one of those people who acts tough when... In the mass. It’s possible they don't even understand you at all. Not Dervish, nor Jack Wood43... They just don't. They don't want to. Understood.

ruggedwolf, there's no point in calling out someone who isn't listening. I guess maybe you and I should just step away from this discussion altogether? 🙄 Don't you see there's just no real drive to get past this? It feels like we're just circling the drain instead. I honestly don't see what good comes from dragging this out any longer. To be fair, I'm only still here because you are, but it’s taking up a massive amount of my time and peace of mind. Can we please just walk away from this discussion once and for all? Peace.

Please read the bolded part and tell me how that could be anything other than trolling.

You said:

"It’s possible he doesn't even understand you..."

But it's also possible I *do* understand him, right?

You’re just trolling rowdyhawk10 here.

I get that ruggedwolf was right to say that action doesn't take someone out of the faith right now, but I told her to check with the Islamic Community of America (since she doesn't trust my word, which is fair) because persisting in what is forbidden can actually lead to leaving the faith entirely.
That’s where we should stop and end the debate. It's clearly commanded in many Sahih traditions. I'm not making excuses for harsh words, but I'm not making excuses for dragging out an argument like this either—especially from a sister. We all know what happens when arguments go this way, exactly like what happened with Dervish and his crew.

I stand by what I said. rowdyhawk10, think about your trolling and all this psychoanalysis that doesn't apply to me, even though you're penalizing others for it on the forum.

This is a perfect example of why you can't be an objective moderator for any member.

Thanks, housewife. That’s exactly what I expect from everyone else here.

Just a quick refresher.

I accused rowdyhawk10 of being unfit for moderation because he can't grasp or admit when he's wrong. It’s a massive mistake. It calls into question the mental stability of the entire FMN community. It also shows that rowdyhawk10 can't process basic logical dialogue between users, which means he's either limited or—even worse—deliberately playing dumb just to push his own agenda or the administration's. Imagine that.

Since his behavior threatens the preservation of Islamic Science, which we've been studying here for years, I believe the sacrifices we make (the bickering, the attacks, the discomfort...) are completely worth it.

(This applies to any professional field, by the way. I don't want this to look like just some random Muslims complaining about other Muslims... this is about expertise.)

If he finally realizes where he messed up, we expect an apology. That would prove he's someone we can actually rely on when things go sideways, whether intentionally or not.

The fact that he keeps digging in to defend a position that is clearly wrong (which I've already proven) tells us he'll justify any stance using whatever means necessary.

That does nothing but damage Islamic Science. I believe it's a duty to call out someone like this, especially when they hold power.

Man, brother... listen.
Look, get this straight. Nobody is claiming it’s actually permitted. No one is saying it isn't a sin, either. We're simply stating that it doesn't result in leaving Islam—and honestly, we settled that debate a long time ago, didn't we? Semek already laid it out. [Link] Straight from the official Islamic Community of America website. Here it is: A Muslim woman marrying a non-Muslim is considered a major sin, though it doesn't technically take her out of the faith. So, I suppose her prayers, fasting, and other good deeds would still be valid...This discussion really should have ended already. I guess there isn't much point in dragging it out further. You might want to remember that you're in the same position yourself. Here. He actually wrote that he was mistaken?!?! 🙄 It was quite nice of you to say that back then.

And one more thing. FMN wasn't banned because of ruggedwolf, I swear to God! It was actually because of what he said to Salaf: I’d honestly be happy to take a three-day ban... because I’ll just tell you exactly what you are—a complete idiot, a total jerk, and so on. So go ahead, ban me now. I'm not entirely sure exactly what he said or what kind of insults he threw out there. But apparently, that's why he got banned, rather than for citing Quranic Verse 4.141. Personally, I feel like he only cost us about 30 points. Honestly, the world wouldn't have ended, and FMN could have just kept posting on Reddit.

Dervish, I swear by whatever you hold most dear, please don't let these trolls get to you anymore. You were so kind yesterday, checking in on me, Nicole James, and everyone else. Kenneth Peterson5 was absolutely thrilled, and honestly, I was too. I suspect you were feeling pretty good about it as well. A lot of us felt that sense of connection. So why go back to this? Why would you let a few trolls slide into your DMs and manipulate you into thinking you somehow "betrayed" the cause? I suppose one might wonder when exactly what you accomplished yesterday actually counted as a true victory. Can we please go back to yesterday’s decision? It seems like a lot of people are getting emotional over this. You should really get back to discussing Religion with everyone else; I guess this isn't the only thing Islam has to offer. Keep fighting the good fight. Maybe try reaching out to ruggedwolf in a private message to clear the air? Connect with the Sunnah again. Listen to what Bradley Davis33 has to say. We need to breathe some life back into the Techie community. Let's stand up against those who want to undermine us and enrich Islam-114. There are so many topics waiting for answers. Just... maybe don't keep going down that path with ruggedwolf. Perhaps you two just aren't seeing eye to eye. Please come back to the Reddit community; it's becoming far too costly otherwise. Is our community really meant to be destroyed like this? What is the actual price of that? Peace.

You really don't get it. Fine, you're narrow-minded. Whatever. It is what it is.

Anyway, peace be upon you. I thought you were a bad person, but you're just limited. It's not a big deal. At least you're healthy.👍

Fine, let's just say I am. Are you finally planning on coming back to Reddit? 🙂

Let me expand on that a bit...

rowdyhawk10, look, this Reddit is meant for discussion. Fine. You can argue, find solutions, or offer answers in any thread. Except for the technical ones. We don't bicker there. Islam 114 is technical. You missed the mark there. Whenever I—or anyone else—gets something wrong in a technical thread, I own it, because we’re talking about expertise, not just casual forum chatter. Try to at least draw a line between the two.

Here’s where you went wrong:

Taking a Quranic Verse and interpreting it however you feel like (with all those hypocrites saying "FMN wanted this" or "FMN meant that" regarding the verse...)

We don't do that, rowdyhawk10. It's a Quranic Verse. FMN provides the verse. Anyone even remotely familiar with Islam knows you don't just interpret verses on a whim without authorization (unless it's for yourself).

Do you see what I'm saying now?

And now look at the consequences of breaking Sharia. At most, it's a 30-point penalty. That's nothing. What I wrote above is the important part.

So, you actually had the nerve to claim that, by your interpretation, the verse has nothing to do with the question, ruggedwolf? Get it?

That kind of move is extremely dangerous.

It would have been just as bad if you'd claimed FMN just threw out a verse for no reason. If you had, FMN would be dead to me forever—considered crazy, unstable, or an enemy of Islam.

It's dangerous, rowdyhawk10.

But one thing: my mistake was human. Fix everything that's wrong.

P.S. S. Delete. Sorry...
