Yes, I'm on my computer. I don't use it on my phone, and I haven't even used it on a Mac before; honestly, the only reason I even downloaded the beta version was to help you out. 😬
Since I'm not an Android user, someone else will have to test how the mobile version actually performs.

In the DuckDuckGo browser, the YouTube video just won't show up—all I get is this weird blue rectangle, kind of like the screenshot I posted above. And just for the record, I'm already signed in on both Chrome and DuckDuckGo.

neoncobra4, you might want to try asking over in the Android mobile subforum instead; there's a much larger crowd of Android enthusiasts hanging out there, so you'll likely find someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

Over the last few days, the forum has been logging me out every couple of hours. It’s just constant. I’ve been logged in without any issues for years, so this is all pretty new. The weird thing is, it’s happening on two different phones, my laptop, and my desktop too—even though I always make sure the "keep me logged in" box is checked. I guess there might be some reason for this? Does anyone have an explanation for why this would happen?

Look, you aren't alone. Most of the time, if I spend more than a few minutes typing up a post, it just kicks me out right when I hit submit.
Now I make it a habit to copy everything I write before hitting reply. Just in case the site dumps me, so I can just paste it back in later.

But it isn't even a real logout, because a simple refresh brings me right back to the forum and magically logs me back in. That's a huge detail.
It's like the forum has some weird login timeout where it momentarily forgets who I am and then snaps out of it. 🙂

I haven't tried refreshing yet, but I usually just hit back and copy my text. Thanks, I'll give that a shot, though I am still wondering what on earth is actually happening... since there hasn't been any recent update across our devices that would explain it.

This happens to me too, though I haven't tried refreshing yet. It has even happened that I finish a post, try to send it, get an error saying I'm not logged in, and once I log back in, it tells me the requested thread doesn't exist and sends me straight back to the homepage. 😵

I wanted to post a picture here, but then I remembered that you can't just upload images directly from a computer or tablet on this forum; you have to host them somewhere else first and then copy the link over... Who actually does that in this day and age! 🙄

We are getting close to the era of space tourism, yet this forum feels stuck in the nineties! 🙂

You actually can, but they probably disabled the direct upload option to save server space. Not too surprising given how many people are on here.

You can do it directly through Tapatalk, but just keep in mind that the image gets uploaded to their servers, not to our site.

I am focusing, believe me. I'll write this long, thoughtful post, forget to copy it, get logged out by the site, and then all my hard work just vanishes into the digital void. 😠 Or I'll just hit an error message... 🙄

Edit: I tried leaving a few quick posts tonight (mostly just links), and the forum logged me out every single time.

Try using a different browser and make sure you check the box for the login option.

Why can't I put links in my signature when some other users here clearly can?
