Why has everything been running so sluggishly the last few days? It’s been spotty before, but this is a new low.
Either this forum gets back to working properly, or we might as well just shut it down.

This is incredibly slow. I log in, get a polite greeting, and then I'm immediately logged out. Then I have to log in all over again, and it just keeps happening. Every now and then, I actually manage to stay on. Did some Russian hackers get into the system?

It feels like this forum is just logging me in and out whenever it feels like it.☕
I try to log in, but it kicks me back out five or six times in a row... so I finally just give up... then a minute later, I see I'm logged in on my own. Then it logs me out again by itself... I try to log in again without any luck... and once I stop trying—it just logs me in automatically... 🤷

Seriously, get this fixed already!!! 🙂

To make matters worse, selecting multiple messages to delete is completely broken; it just returns an Invalid Message Format.

I'm stuck deleting them one by one, and I have 300 of them to get through.

So, I ended up with 10 received messages and about 180 sent ones.

I managed to get those 10 exported to a .txt file without any drama.

But those 180—though if I’m being honest, I couldn't even select half of them—just wouldn't cooperate. Instead of giving me an actual .txt file, the system just spits out a blank .html file.

And to top it all off, that "handy" little option at the bottom to "save ALL private messages as..." isn't working at all. Just completely broken.😢

It honestly feels like a bad idea to mess with any of the user settings if you actually want this Reddit to run smoothly. For example, if you switch the start of the week to Monday instead of Sunday, everything just crawls to a halt.
I’ve been dealing with terrible lag ever since I started tinkering with those settings myself. It finally sped up to about half its normal speed once I reverted everything back to the defaults, but even then, it still feels sluggish.
I ended up opening a fresh profile—it looks like there might be some BB code restrictions on it—but man, that one flies! It’s night and day compared to this account.

I’ve been dealing with this absolute nightmare of a writing glitch for a while now. It just keeps looping indefinitely, and the loading times are honestly killing me. This whole mess kicked off right after they messed with my signature, not to mention that heated back-and-forth I had with Sharp over some history stuff. Since this headache is still dragging on, I figured I’d just take the opportunity to send a message to tech support via PM. 🙂

Try logging in with a burner account. If you still run into issues, then the problem is likely on your end. If it works fine, then we know the glitch is with Reddit itself.

Seriously, someone needs to fix this database.
Every single query or contact attempt just logs the user out for no reason.

Regarding the thread http://www.reddit.com/r/discussion_thread_placeholder, I posted my reply, but for some reason, it’s just not showing up. At first, I genuinely thought my internet had just cut out on me—I mean, I was staring at the screen thinking the connection had died—so I tried posting it again, but still nothing. I even attempted using the quick reply feature, which actually seemed to work momentarily, but then the second I hit refresh, it vanished into thin air.

On the main topic list, it clearly indicates that my response is the most recent one, yet when I try to click the arrow to jump straight to it, the page just snaps back to the very top, leaving me staring at an empty space where my comment should be.

This is exactly what happens when a thread is being moderated, like when posts are being migrated to a different topic.
It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does, the lag can drag on for days and it’s incredibly irritating; there is currently no way to speed things up while we just wait for the server to stop glitching out.

I just wrote a test post in this thread, refreshed the page, and the post vanished into thin air 🙏

Yeah, I’m dealing with some technical glitches on the forum. 😳
For the last few days, the site keeps kicking me out and forcing a logout right after I sign in.
I figured out there’s an auto-logout after 15 minutes of inactivity, but here, I'm getting booted back to the login screen after just a few minutes—sometimes even seconds—just from refreshing the page.
It’s honestly frustrating and makes me want to just stay logged out permanently.

Can you point out that little checkbox that says "remember me"?
