Can I set up another account on Reddit, like a second handle just for hitting up people in DMs?
I wouldn't even use the other one to jump into any threads or debates... though I'd be logging in from the same laptop for both accounts.

Technically, you could run a clone, though the Reddit rules take a different stance on it. They allow it as long as you aren't using them to stir up drama or exploit the system. For instance, using a secondary account to post while your main profile is essentially in self-imposed exile is strictly forbidden, and that'll land you with a permanent ban on both accounts. The same fate awaits anyone trying to flood the same threads with both their original and clone profiles. And so on...

What you're looking to do is perfectly fine.

Back in college, a few of us would share a single computer during breaks, and we all had our own logins, though I was pretty much the only one actually posting on Reddit...

I'm not sure what causes it, but a workaround would be to draft everything in Microsoft Word first and then just paste it in once you're ready—keep trying until it actually sticks.
I've dealt with this too. Doesn't hitting "go back one page" help recover the text?

Personally, I’ve learned my lesson and always make sure to select All - Copy (using Ctrl-A then CTRL-C) before I ever hit submit on anything online. It has honestly saved my sanity hundreds of times over the years!

If I were in your shoes, I’d start by cleaning up your browser usage, or perhaps consider switching to a different one entirely once you've had a chance to test them out.

It isn't a browser issue. I’m running into the exact same thing.
It looks like some bugs or maybe just the site being overloaded.

Sometimes, I can't even manage to log in at all.
